Apex on Perkins

It's very unfortunate the state that this property has become. I've lived here for 3 years and it was great at first! Management was kind, considerable, and communicative. Over the years with new property management, this place has cared less and less about their residents. Apex treats their employees terribly, they don't value the safety of their residents, they don't pay their vendors, and god forbid you need to contact them (they're never available!). The property looks terrible. When something breaks they basically use gorilla glue and duct tape. Maintenance tries their best but they aren't equipped to handle certain repairs when it comes to property damage (unstable carports, broken staircases, plumbing). It's incredibly frustrating! Their moto is to "Achieve a Higher Class of Living" yeah whatever. Not to mention their resident portal is always either down or never updated. Residents have to pay a $10 admin fee (for what?) and if you have an after hours emergency it's impossible to reach an employee. There are good few people who work here but there are others who are extremely rude, lack empathy, and straight up have poor customer service. I would not recommend leasing from this business. Hey Apex if you're reading this review, do us a favor and call your corporate "company" and tell them to start fixing the problems instead of brushing them under the rug.

Terrible place to live appliances broken for months, air conditioning didn't work all summer, washing machine hasn't worked for 3+ months.

If only you could give zero stars... Absolutely do not sign a lease with Apex. Ridiculous extra charges every single month for utilities. Poor response to any issues or problems with the apartment. There was mold in the shower and they would never fix it. Made up things wrong to deduct from deposit when we moved out and we still have not received any of the deposit money back. Pick anywhere else.

My AC and HEAT went out OVER a month ago. It stopped working October 18th and I was promised an AC specialist would be by the next monday, maintenance never showed back up. We have multiple maintenance requests that have been in for weeks, and they have not been followed up on once. Go live anywhere but here. Worst apartment complex probably ever.

Overall the property did a complete 360 ever since Apex took over. Run don't walk, and sign somewhere else. They don't pay their vendors, they can't keep a staff and they make excuses after excuses for their problems. Over a million dollars is owed to vendors, which is stealing. The ownership team should do jail time for knowingly taking a service or product with no means of payment.

Drove 7 hours and waited 7 hours to get a key for the room. Still don't have one and they stopped letting people through. Stay away from this place. Management, get it figured out.

Would give it 0 stars if I could. Literally did nothing but make my life harder through my entire lease. Left my carpet soaking wet after a busted pipe flooded my apartment, put a ton of charges that were not discussed/did not belong on my account & were never willing to admit their mistake & take it off. Claimed utilities were 2 months behind so I was told I needed to pay for two more months on those past the end of my lease. Charged "damages," not out of my security deposit but just randomly placed them on my utilities statement. That apartment was a thousand times cleaner when I moved out than when I moved in. Won't answer the phone even though they're open so I can discuss it with them. Truly the most unprofessional, half effort ran business you could possibly find. Plus the units are dumps compared to places you can get for much cheaper in town

We got a lease violation for a pet they knew about already. A pet we had already payed the deposit for and the extra monthly payments of course. They messed up our initial payments and refused to give a refund. It only counted toward future month's rent. They're always changing management but they somehow keep getting worse and they also don't teach their workers how to do their job apparently. They won't tell you when a package comes in half the time, they won't help you with their software issues like putting in maintenance requests. They pick up the phone 1 out of every 20 times. The office is randomly closed OFTEN. They only have 1 security camera. The pool is rarely open and the hotub is never ever ever open, don't let them lie to you. Maintenance is good but extremely understaffed so don't expect anything to be done fast. And once you sign your lease, don't expect to be treated like a human by the managers. Everything wrong will be your fault and your problem. I've typed all of this waiting on a meeting to finish so they open the office to let me move out. They just want you to give them money and leave them alone. If that's what you're into then this is the perfect place for you.

The management is terrible and doesn't care about anyone. the only good thing about this property are the 2 maintenance guys. they won't even mow the grass until it's hazardous to walk to your apartment

This property is currently being ran into the ground. Not enough staff to keep the office open, so you can never get ahold of anyone to get anything resolved. New manager that knows little to nothing about anything. Yard work isn't being done, so grass is high everywhere. Water is dripping and causing mold, definitely at building 5, probably others. They will take your money out at the end of the month and then act like it was never paid, cause they took it before the 1st of the month. Then they try charging you late fees, cause you can't ever get ahold of anyone in the office to resolve anything. Just go somewhere else! Avoid the nightmare of Apex on Perkins
