Angel's Diner

Food was good home cooking - hamburgers, homemade chili, chicken fried steak or chicken, breakfast all day. I ordered the chili with cornbread. Tasty with cornbread muffin (cake cornbread!) with cheese , onions and jalapeños on top. Husband had a burger with avocado and bacon with fries . Yum!!The folks at Angel's Diner are friendly , attentive. and hates working! I felt welcomed and appreciated as a guest in their home.Ambience is kitschy but in a fun way. Pictures of Frank Sinatra , Elvis Presley , Marilyn Monroe among other icons are hung throughout the diner If I am in the McAlester , OK area. I will make a bee line to Angel's Diner for another great meal! Thanks!

FoodFood was excellent the Chicken Steak was crispy and moist in the inside. Mash potatos was okay, and the green beans weren't fresh, canned type. found on yelp while traveling back to texas. cute spot that is a lot bigger than it looks. classic 50's diner style as you enter. we were seated further back in the "pub" area with a bar & TV's with MNF on. arrived about 7PM on a monday, only a few diners, but it did take a longish time for the waitress tocome back and take our order. long enough for us to consider hunting her down.they have daily blue plate specials and thats what we opted for. hubbie got CF chicken sammie with fried while i got the dinner with green beans, mashed potatoes and a roll. both were under $10.we also ordered fried green tomatoes to start. food came out pretty quick, but app did arrive before the food - when it should come! tomatoes were fresh & hot and cornmeal crust was good.both meals were good although my green beans were cold and potatoes were lukewarm. must have been plated first while waiting for the chicken to be done because it was fresh and hot, breading was crispy.service after initial wait to order was good.food & prices were good.

I have passed this diner for years and thought many times that I would like to stop. The curb appeal is old school 50's diner. Today me and my son stopped to have breakfast! We are so glad we did! Excellent place in every way! Great ambiance!, great service!, great food!, super clean! Nothing negative about this place. It is a must stop! Anytime I'm traveling past I will most certainly be stopping to eat! Excellent coffee! Restroom were super clean!

I was told about this diner by several people so I was looking forward to visiting. Getting into the place with the screwball service roads and construction was an issue but was quickly resolved. Parking was just fine. The interior is pure diner and it was comforting. I was seated quickly and my waitress could not have been nicer along with offering some recommendations for this first timer. My chicken fried steak dinner was good, the sides (mashed potatoes and pinto beans) were just ok, but my pie was just great...almost worth the trip on its own. For the price this was a good deal, throw in good service and unique setting so I'd say give them a try.

Just passing through and stopped for lunch.Chicken fry, catfish, pancakes, French toast, chicken fingers, onion rings and a piece of coconut cream pie will run you $59 and well worth it!There were 2 large groups already seated so our party of 6 sat in a 4 seater booth and a 2 seater table.The onion rings were thin, crispy and came with great tasting ranch, chicken fry was 2 decently sized pieces, roll & mashed potatoes (meh) with uniquely flavored pinto beans, catfish was great, kids enjoyed theirs. We would very much stop here again. However, it took us a full 45 mins on a Monday at 12:30.

We stopped into this cute little diner and were so amazed at it all. The employees were sweet as can be and the atmosphere and decor was really groovy. The food. OMG! It was amazing! The chicken was juicy and delicious. The burgers were incredible and best was the prices! We will be back for sure! You can't go wrong with this precious diner!

It was buisy, but again they did not fail! I ordered the fried green beans as an appetizer this time and not only did they look good, but they tasted great! good flavor, right out of the fryer hot! And they were too much for one person to eat, even one as big as me. Thank you, Angel's, for the good food and good service. I am New to the area, and swung in for a quick lunch, and fell in love with the place. Right through the door i was greeted with a friendly waitress and showed to my table. it was packed, only about 2 tables free including the one she set me at. she apologized that they were short staffed, but that didn't affect anything. When i am alone, i tend to people watch, and no ones drinks ever set empty! That says something. My Jalapeno burger and fries came out fast and they were Hot and delish. The burger cooked spot on, with just the right amount of juice in it. The Jalapeno wasn't spicy but had really good flavor to it. The staff was just sweet, fast, and knowledgeable.

I loved this place service was great, food was really good when you're wanting a little home cooking or a great chef salad, the ambiance is a little overwhelming with décor but its meant to be a 50's diner so I get it. The only draw back is its not open on Sunday's I would love to eat here on Sundays and not be stuck with just Mexican food every Sunday.

Service is AMAZING! Very polite staff! They helped me make my Senior photo shoot a dream come true! On top of that the food tastes GREAT!
