AMC CLASSIC Cinema Centre 8

This is a very traditional theater, so it doesn't have a lot of the extras that some of the newer movie theaters have. That being said, I thought the seats were comfortable, the sound quality was good, and the screen had good resolution. If you live near Shawnee, and don't want to drive into the city, I feel this is a good option. The employees were friendly, and parking is plentiful. This theater is now part of the AMC group, so the Stubs reward program applies here.

Place looks like crap. You go here if you're broke and can't afford to go somewhere nicer. Don't recommend it if you can go anywhere else. Find movies elsewhere I think north park mall in Oklahoma City is better and that's a dollar theatre, not worth your business Shawnee is just overall not worth visiting if you can avoid it. Don't go HERE

Cinema Centre 8 is an excellent place to see a movie, especially for a town Shawnee's size. They tend to get all the major studio releases either here or at the Movies 6 at the Shawnee Mall. The theaters are kept clean and both the sound and projection quality are as good as you would find at theaters in major metropolitan areas.The concessions offer standard fare and the popcorn is usually fresh and warm. On Tuesday you can get a small popcorn for $2. Ticket prices are lower than most places and prices are lower before 6 p.m. I wished they had more weekday matinees during the school year, but I suppose it probably doesn't make business sense.The Jones Theatres Cinema Centre 8 is a Carmike Theater, so they accept the Carmike Rewards card.

This place was filthy. The only redeeming thing about this theater is the seats are comfortable if your weight is less than 120 lbs. I would drive to Oklahoma City to see a movie and pay a few bucks more to sit in a clean comfortable theater. Lots of room for improvement.

Visited this location on 7-21-24 to see the matinee showing of "Twisters". I like going to this theater since it's closer to where I live & I like that they have matinee prices available. The chips that are used for nachos aren't very good at this location. They are hard & stale. The salted pretzel bites are good but I wouldn't recommend the parmesan bites as they don't have any flavor to them. They have remodeled the theaters with new seating but both of the bathrooms are still very small. The theater was very clean & the sound was good. I would recommend purchasing the yearly AMC Stub Rewards or just going with the Free Stub Reward program if you choose to go with that program. The website explains the difference in the types of AMC Stub Programs that are available.

worst place ever. first they didnt use my $5 reward. if that wasnt already bad enough when i asked for extra butter on my popcorn they squirted it in my face. then my movie got cut off and we had to re watch 20 minutes of it and when we tried to correct them they spit on us!!! anyway worst experience ever!!!

I looked at the other reviews saying the place was dirty and it is not!!! Very nicely kept and clean!! Thanks for giving us a place to go and enjoy movie, popcorn, cokes and of course the candy :).

This theater has so much potential. I wish they would clean it up. Dirty seats, salty popcorn, they forget to start the movies (we always have to tell them to start)

This is not a large place, however it has 8 theaters. Sometimes it only shows 6 different movies, which is annoying when there are so many movies out that you would like to see and both places in town don't have them. I don't understand about the bad reviews on it being dirty, they seem to keep it up. It is now owned by AMC, I'm sure food prices will go up, and no free cups of water. I do hope they will not raise the ticket prices, and I would hate to see them premake the popcorn and put it in garbage bags like they do in their "big city" locations.
