Varsity House Norman is by far the worst apartment complex I have ever stayed in. You will always hear noises of someone messing with your locks, the gate is never closed, and everyone there leaves trash everywhere. Be sure to take plenty of pictures because if you don't they will charge you for everything. They gave my roommates and I a very badly used couch that had scratch marks all over it and now we have moved out they are charging US 130.00 each to replace it. They also gave us a dining table with 2 legs broken on it, my sink had a crack in it that they decided to just put glue over it to "repair" it. Every time you cook, smoke fills the apartment because the vents do NOT work. This was the worst experience of my life and WILL NEVER recommend anyone here.

Worst place to live. I moved in to my first apartment here and had a roommate whose cat destroyed my carpet within the first day I was there. I ended up stepping on nail and maintenance never came and fixed it and kept marking it as fixed. I also had issues with this roommate constantly for months since she did not think I had a right to live in the living area so I did not even have a cabinet for food. THE COMPLEX DID NOTHING for months until I ended up getting assaulted. It should of never gotten to that point. Not only was the furniture at my last place destroyed they moved me into a new place with the furniture in pieces across the living space and they still have not fixed that. They forgot to charge me rent and when they realized they started sending me inappropriate and passive aggressive email because I asked for an itemized statement and said I had to sign documents for them to give me the accurate amount. Since you know the accurate amount, why is it so hard to listen to your resident. Because they do not listen and send passive aggressive emails. When I moved, I was told that my rent would not be going up until my old lease ends and they ended up charging me and then act like I do not know what I am talking about. A very unprofessional complex.

Where do I begin.... When we moved in, the apartment was not cleaned and there was damage to our carpet and to other things within the apartment. I paid the last two months of rent (the deferred rent) and around the end of June there was lots of black mold discovered in our apartment. We had a month left of our lease and they expected us to move our stuff to another apartment for "a few days" which actually would have been around 2 weeks so that they could fix the mold issue. I demanded a refund for the month of July and just moved back home and had to jump through a lot of hoops to get my money back. Before they sent my check for the month of July, I was informed they took money out of the refund check due to damages to the apartment. Almost every charge was damage that was already there and that was already reported on day of move-in. If I did not have video and picture evidence I would have been charged. I am still currently waiting for my full refund and it has been terrible dealing with this apartment. Make sure you record and take pictures of your apartment when you move in. They will scam you out of your money as they did to not only me but many other residents I have spoken with.

At move-in the apartment had damages that were noted with pictures on all of the paperwork. We also had issues with a fifth year senior who frequently smoked pot with his friends in the living room and trashed the shared living space. I discussed these issues with the office staff twice after move in and was told there was nothing they could do. The senior moved out in December and left everything he owned in the living room , kitchen and shared closet. I spoke with the office staff twice in person and once on the phone about this person's belongings (bc there was no room for my son to have anything outside his bedroom and I was worried about charges at summer move out). I was told we would not be charged for the noted damages or "trash" left behind bc they had no records and would not be charging anyone. Apparently when the new owners took over they did not receive any of the paperwork that was filed when tenants moved in. The apartment never had anything repaired and at move out we were charged for those damages and many bags of trash from the kitchen and downstairs closet. After disputing these charges we were told we would need to produce the original pictures and documents which was impossible since it was done on the previous resident portal which conveniently was deactivated. On top of that, you also continue to pay utilities all summer even if you move out early. My some moved out at the end of May and we had to pay well over 1k for summer utilities! This complex is not worth zero stars.
