Agave Azul Cocina Mexicana

Whenever we pass this place, it always looks packed so we took it as a good sign! Stopped by for dinner on a rainy Friday night & had no wait at about 50% indoor capacity. Not romantic or fancy at all but very clean & cute. Good for groups.Pollo fundido was hot & super flavorful! Would order again. The Pina fajita was beautifully presented, hot & good. Slightly lacking in the flavor department but a little sprinkle of salt/pepper would help.

Is the food good? Yes. The food is good but not good enough for me to return where a waiter has a history of being misogynistic and racist. I should also mention this waiter uses intimidation tactics to prevent customers from making complaints about him, while also intimidating the staff. My (white) partner and I visited here twice. The first time we had a great time and a great waitress. The second time, the waiter completely ignored my presence, except for taking my order. He would not look in my direction and purposely did not speak to me other than to take my order. When the waiter approached our tables he was not friendly, he said what do you want. That was his greeting. As he received more tables, his demeanor to more fair complicated people was significantly different than his demeanor towards me. I complained but the manager was not in at the time. I called twice and stopped by one other time in an attempt to make this complaint privately. I have yet to speak to the manager regarding this.

This is a great place for a party, small gathering, or something more intimate. The decor is beautiful and the murals are amazing. The staff is very friendly and attentive and even when it's super busy or super slow they make sure you have everything you need. The food is always delicious and fresh. I highly recommend trying it out! Especially with these decent prices!

I went here for a team holiday lunch/party. I agree with just about anyone with the service being TOO fast. We were asked if we were ready to order 3-4 times within 5 minutes of our appetizers being brought to us. I am always a fan of quick and friendly service but give the guests time to enjoy the apps and small talk. Plus we were one of the 3 tables during our time there. Besides that, everything was good. I got the Birria tacos. Tastes great! Beans and rice are pretty solid as well. Sopapillas were amazing. The menu does not say the toppings that are put on desserts so just know it's not just "flan" or "sopapilla" like it says on the menu.

We came here after another restaurant had closed, and this was nearby. Surprisingly, the food was delicious. The restaurant is bright and clean, well decorated too. Good, complimentary chips and salsa. The queso was okay. Also, great prices for dinner. My enchiladas rancheras was like $10.50. I finally found my 2nd spot for enchiladas. Because their enchilada sauce was mildly flavored, not overwhelming with spices-it was made for my tastebud. Also, they can make some decent cocktails. Service was okay.

We tried Agave Azul for the first time, and there was a long wait. Lots of people in the waiting area. Much to our surprise, when we were originally told there would be a 30 minute wait, the staff got us in within 5 minutes! The restaurant was packed, but they had their system down, and service was quick! The food came out really quickly. The white queso was phenomenal, the Canaritos cocktail was amazing, and the tortilla soup was so delicious! We can't wait to visit again!

Ok food, not great. The service was great and it's the nicest & cleanest Mexican restaurant I've ever been in!

We purposely waited for the hype of this restaurant to settle down a little before we tried it. It ended up being a weird experience.When you walk in you may be wowed. I really liked the tile work that was done - they did a great job on the entry way. We were seated to the left of the restaurant away from the bar. This might be why we didn't enjoy it as much as others. It was a pretty tight room as servers were squeezing between tables.The servers are welcoming, but instantly make you feel like cattle. We felt super rushed and it did not make for a relaxing or enjoyable experience. They just wanted to turn the table and you knew it.The chips and salsa were just okay. It was not addicting so maybe that's a good thing? We ordered the chicken and steak fajita combo to share. While the meat cuts were strangely thin, it was marinated and pretty flavorful. Prices were very reasonable as well.But it was so chaotic that despite the food tasting good, we just wanted to get the heck out of there. There was no ambiance. After we paid, we checked out the bar area. This looks like a much better space, at least for games. We really wanted to love this place, but unless there is a game we want to go out and watch, we'd rather go elsewhere where the vibe is more chill.

Great margaritas and love their mole!!! The staff is so friendly and kind. We even bring our pups to dine on their patio. Highly recommend these guys!

Clean, Happy place & GREAT food! Service is fabulous We drive all the way from Norman to eat here because it's so worth the drive.
