Abuelita's Mexican Restaurant

Food is horrible and very bland. Service is marginal at best. This place used to be great but no longer. I will never be back.

It's several years since we've been there. The food used to be a 4 star restaurant. Unfortunately they have gone down in quality. Went there a few days ago and my food was sent back as it came to me barely like warm. My wife and I ordered the same items. Beef enchiladas with rice and beans. They almost put some rice on my plate. Come on now! Rice is very inexpensive. Unfortunately this will be our last visit there. We originally headed for Portrillos, but when we saw 5 Murray County deputy Sheriff's standing in the entry way, we kept on driving. Wonder what was up with that.

In town for a weekend getaway so we decided to try it. Service and staff was good. The queso and salsa were really good! Husband and i both had the steak street tacos, they were pretty good! We will come back for sure if we are in the area!

The food was awful. Ordered a shredded chicken taco salad, when I got it, it looked strange. It was canned chicken!! Tasted terrible. My husband ordered carneasada which was a special not on menu, he said it was over cooked and whole meal was very bland. The queso had no taste. The only thing that was good. Never going back. They don't even deserve one star.

Fast service. The food is not that great, but the prices are reasonable. The refried beans could use flavor, the rise tried to hard, and I wish everyone would stop it with the "queso".

This place WAS my favorite place to eat until today. I went out for my birthday, sat with my family & had to wait around 15-20 minutes just for drink order. I should have known something was wrong, but I thought it was a busy time for them so I let it slide. Well after waiting about 45 minutes for our food, while four other tables were seated & their food was brought out before ours. My brother had to finally go to the kitchen area & ask what the hold up was. They finally brought ours out. (never mind the fact they gave us things we specifically asked not to) The kicker for me & why I will not be back is that my sister went to pay & the woman taking the money said they go in order of when the food orders get placed. My sister was very polite & said that four tables were seated after & their food was brought out before ours. The woman GLARED at my sister the rest of the time she was paying.

Service was awful. Took 25 minutes to get our drinks, coke and tea... Not too hard...Beans tasted weird. Queso was watery. Salsa was bland. As a Mexican woman.. This place poorly represented our delicious food. Will not return.

Well since I can't leave a zero I just won't go there EVER again. The chicken taco had cold canned chicken, the refried needed a large straw due to the watery consistency, the rice had no taste, the tamale was like a pancake.

Sorry but this was a disappointment... With the exception of the salsa, the food was extremely bland. There appears to be a quality disparity between the lunch & dinner orders, as well. Generally a quantity difference can be expected but the dinner selection appeared to have a higher quality of taste versus the lunch selection. Was passing through town but definitely wouldn't go back.

The service was poor at best. A certain family came in and was seated. The focus of the entire staff was directed at that particular family. They were either the owners or the book keeper, the custom discussed an employee w4 form with them in public. Not appropriate. If it is the owner shame on them for running their business that way
