"Came in from out of town and went to Hidalgo's with my family and wife. Fantastic food and service, thank you Daniel and Cici for a great experience!"
"Fun place that brings some unique ideas to Mexican food that adds some fun flair. It is right in the heart of downtown OKC, and super close to a lot of other fun areas. We went to a Christmas market with my sister, brother in law, and husband right before, and it was right next door. Parking can be difficult but it's worth it!We started out with the chips and salsa. The salsa was a perfect combination of both smoky and fresh tasting. I'm normally more into the lime-y, cilantro-y salsa, but it was a perfect amount of smokiness. The chips! The chips. Amazing! They were thick and had so much flavor even on their own! We also got a sangria and the house margarita to start, which were very reasonably priced and flavorful. For our meal, my sister got the enchiladas, and I got the hot chicken sopes and my husband got the roasted chicken soup with masa dumplings. They were all great! The soup was very fresh tasting and reasonably priced. The enchiladas were flavorful and had a great sauce, but were very small. It was just enough food for my sister with the Chips and salsa, but they are about the size of a Taquito. The green sauce on them is delicious! My favorite was the hot chicken sopes. They were sooooo creative and had an AMAZING flavor. The sopes themselves were thick and had a wonderful texture to them, and the hot chicken was just spicy enough without being too greasy. They were absolutely delicious! Loved them so much. Our server was nice as well, and attentive. Great little place!"
"I live right around the corner and have been coming here for years. There has recently been new owners and I feel like the menu and food quality have gone up! Can't beat the Party Pint on a Friday. A big highlight for me is the Baja fish taco. It's the best fish taco in town in my opinion."
"10 months later, we visited for lunch again. Service was perfect. I had the shrimp tacos, refried beans and Mexican corn. 10/10 The hubs had the pork stew and house salad. The salad was huge and he liked the Posole better than this one. High quality food and service. Great place if you haven't tried it."
"Love love love Hidalgo's! The service is fast, friendly, and attentive. Small or large groups, you'll get the best service! The food is very tasty! I appreciate all the complimentary salsas, queso's, relishes, chips, and tortillas. I love their queso's the best! I ordered the salad and it was so so good! I would order this again and change the combinations of toppings to try different things. If you're a soda lover this is your place, the cups are LARGE- I was in Dr Pepper heaven! The decor has a fun, modern vibe w/ bright colors, neon word displays. After a certain hour, they dim the lights a bit to not be so bright when the suns going down. I like that attention to detail!"
"Food was authentic and so flavorful! Delicious to the last bite! Large portions, could not finish! Order food, make your drink and sit down. Self service and there was a line of course but moved fairly quick.Took about 20min for the food but it was worth it. Chips and salsa are not complimentary but that's the new norm huh. They stayed packed the entire time and full bar for cocktail time as well. Large selection of Tequila! Food servers are nice and pleasant and they move fast."
"I had no idea of what I was missing out on! This place is truly off the hook delicious! My wife & I have been going to the sane dentist for over 15 years and often said we're going to try that place as we drove past year after year! For some reason or another we never did . . . until last week!If you like Mexican food then this is a must try! Our waiter was awesome, very patient while we decided what to order. I've got to go back sometime soon because the meal & service was so good!I ordered the Hot Burrito which I can only describe as epic! A monster burrito which I thought I could never finish . . . but somehow I did! Utterly fantastic! My wife ordered the Enchiladas which of course I had to taste! Very good!Like I said if you like Mexican this is a must try!"
"Overview: 5/5I had to try a Mexican Food truck while here in OKC. There are tons of them but Taqueria Sanchez had very high reviews. Ambiance : N/AIt's a food truck in a parking lot. Some picnic tables if you choice to eat there. Most people were picking up orders to go. Food/Drink 5/5Outstanding authentic Mexican. I had the four street taco plate with pork, chicken and beef. I got a side of refried beans and rice (yum).Service : 5/5Fast, they give you a good buzzer to let you know when your order is ready. Conclusion : Fabulous!! Now I know why it has such high ratings and a long line for placing orders. We will be back next year."
"My favorite things about this spot is the margaritas, white cheese dip and tasty salsa! There's been plenty of times we've ordered just the set up to go along with our meal at home. You can also get a margarita to go (of course drink it when you get home...no drinking and driving)! The staff is always friendly and attentive. They will get you in and out if you're in a hurry. Patio seating area for those nice days to sit outside."
"This place in Bricktown turned out to be a pleasant surprise. We sat outside on the deck and enjoyed watching the activities below. Ordered some nachos with ground beef and the salsa trio. Both were very good. The salsa in particular were very flavorful. Ground beef on the nachos was well seasoned and not dry. Ordered at the counter and food was brought out promptly"
"I travel a lot for work and I am always looking for great local places wherever I go. I heard about Cali Burrito in one of the Oklahoma Travel Facebook groups I always refer to in order to find great places to try. I'm glad that someone told me about it because this little hole-in-the-wall place is off the beaten path and never would have known it was here. Think a locally-owned chipotle type place. The portions are really large and the flavor was great. The chicken on my bowl was so fresh that he pulled it straight off the grill to throw it on top. My only complaints were my lettuce was kind of wilted which looked gross but still tasted okay and I was just given my food in a to go form. I had been chatting with the staff and mentioned I was from out of town and I think they assumed I was going to eat on the road. Positives: owner/manager was super friendly, food was pretty fresh, portions were fantastic for the price, good queso -- I'm not usually a white queso fan but theirs was pretty good. I'll definitely stop back by when I'm in town again."
"The thing I walk away from Cafe Sol remembering is the great service. The staff seemed to genuinely want our experience to be a great one. They checked on us several times and were eager to ensure we had all we needed. The restaurant is fairly small, and it was busy with most tables filled by the time we left. You order at a counter, and then find a table. The food was presented nicely. We all tried different things, and the best to protein for me was the Al Pastor. The other food didn't knock my socks off, but it was all pretty good. If we lived more near this area, I would go here again"

"Any restaurant that feeds me well for under $10 deserves at least 4 stars automatically. When the food is good on top (doesn't have to be excellent), how could I not give it the last star as well? At Uncle Paco's, one could get certain lunch or dinner entrees for less than $10. I got the burrito al queso (one of their bestsellers) which was $11. The burrito only had grilled chicken in it but it came with beans and rice, topped with queso. I really preferred to have my burrito this way as it was easier for me to consume. Sometimes when you add too many things to a burrito, it can get too "heavy" for me. Like previously stated, the food was good, not excellent but for a cheap eat, COUNT ME IN ANYDAY."
"This is my favorite restaurant in Norman. My favorites include their queso blanco, chaufa de pollo, enchiladas verde, and their frozen margaritas. So delicious."
"Home alone tonight so ran down to get some Mexican Togo. The place was pretty busy with the Sunday afternoon crowd. Ordered right away. Grande beef chimichanga, corn and ranchero beans and a side of habanero salsa. Also comes with pico de gallo, sour cream, red salsa, cheese and chips. It took about 10 minutes or so and I was only way. The manager was awesome and took care of me. Everything was hot when I got home and has great flavor just as if I was eating there. The beef had a nice char and was tender. I mix the corn and beans together for a nice mix. They give you plenty of the set up stuff and a huge bag of chips. Great place to dine in or take out."
"My wife summed it up, "the most perfect Mexican food I have had in a long time, everything was on point." And I second that assessment. Perfect salsas came with the chips. This was not tomato salsa. The mild, was a fresh mild smokey pepper salsa. The picante was similar with good fire. The meals were perfect in every way. Nothing could make them better. My wife had a beef tamale and beef enchilada covered with chili, refried beans and fried diced potatoes. I had a shredded beef filled relleno covered with chili, borracho beans and fried diced potatoes on the side. The borracho beans were of homemade quality. Tender beans, in a smokey flavorful broth with bits of fresh chopped jalapeno, onion and tomato. Crisp fried diced potatoes. A relleno filled with tender seasoned beef. Mama Lety's is an authentic full-flavored style of Mexican food originating from the city of Reynosa, Mexico, according to the menu cover. A good description would be Mex Tex!This was absolutely delicious. I occasionally eat Mexican food, but I don't recall any meal this enjoyably perfect. The restaurant was nothing fancy. The service is great. The friendly young lady Ixel, was our server today."
"The service here is fantastic but the food just didn't impress me which was disappointing bc others in my family speak so highly of it. Maybe nostalgia for them. The ambiance comes off as a legit authentic Mexican restaurant but the menu is all tex-mex. You can, if you know, order authentic Mexican items and they'll gladly prepare them for you. The prices are quite high for what you receive quality wise. The portions are large but the food is really nothing special. I've been told that it's changed since 2017 and use to be better especially before Covid."
"Good Mexican food at reasonable prices, but I do miss free queso and tortillas like so many restaurants offer. The food included some really good items-the esquiete dip (corn dip appetizer) and the fajitas were both worth coming back for. Some of the other items were lacking flavor and spice. The restaurant itself was spacious, clean and decorated nicely. The service was pretty good, but we did have a couple of small issues. Overall, we had a nice meal, and it was good to try something new."
"Was pleasantly surprised. Food was good. Great salsa and queso came with food which it should. Asked for spicy salsa and it was good as well. Tortillas good and seemed homemade with relish. Got the tamale and cheese enchilada plate. Was very tasty. Wife got the chicken taco salad and said it was good. Would recommend for area and is best Mexican restaurant so far I have tried in mustang. Would come back."
"High ceiling with embroidered panels and crown molding beautiful color choices the music is comforting and fine food sweet staff, Beautiful place highly and recommend so affordable"
"This location is very clean and the employees are very friendly and quick on their feet! They always bring plenty of chips, salsa, queso, tortillas, and any other extra dips while you wait for your food. The food comes out fairly quickly. Alfredos has added new items to their menu. As well as featuring new monthly margaritas!"
"We were passing through OKC and Los Vaqueros was down the road from the hotel. Reviews sounded promising and the menu was acceptable. I ordered the guiso plate, pork with green sauce on the recommendation of the lady taking my order. My wife got the Lalo Special. We both had to pinch ourselves as we were eating. Had we been this deprived of Mexican food while we were on the road, or was this one of the best meals we've had in a while? We determined it was the best in a while.Let's start with how our to go order worked out. I walked in to order. It took them a little over 10 minutes to get our meal made. It was the cheapest meal we had in a week. The bag was as hot as lava and all I could think about was how the styrofoam must be disintegrating. Wrong! They packed it in foil trays that were still smoking hot when we got back to the hotel. Our order came with chips, a cup of salsa (that was fantastic), and a cup of queso (that was unremarkable, but thoughtful and we still enjoyed it). They were also generous with the tortillas. The green sauce for the pork guiso was perfectly delicious. Tart and spicy, I almost had to lick the pan. My wife shared some of her chicken and enchilada with me. The enchilada cheese was the right amount of firm and flavored. The servings were very generous."

The food here is always tasty. I love their fajitas. The lunch specials are big and priced right. They have plenty of salsas upon request. Service was excellent. This restaurant smells like a gas station bathroom. The mural on the wall is very unique.

Barrios is the spot. I come here at least once a week for happy hour, and honestly, I don't see that changing anytime soon. The vibe is always great; the service and food are solid. First off, their Frozen Avocado Drink is something special. It's not what you'd expect; it's super smooth, icy, and refreshing with a bright lime flavor. It doesn't taste like avocado; it's just creamy and light in the best way possible. As for the food, I've eaten my way through the menu, and I have some clear favorites:-Beef Skirt Adobo Fajitas - Packed with flavor, perfectly cooked.-Lamb Barbacoa & Pork Cheek Tacos - Juicy, tender, and worth it.-Braised Beef Short Rib Enchiladas & Short Rib Tinga Chalupa - If you love short rib, do yourself a favor and order these.- Steak Quesadilla - Simple but done so right. It's cheesy and crispy, and I always end up with leftovers for the next day, which is a win.-Lawson Taco Salad - Surprisingly filling and super fresh. (You can also add on different meats for an additional $)And let's talk about dessert, their Grilled Pineapple Tres Leches. Hands down, the best tres leches I've ever had. The grilled pineapple adds this caramelized sweetness that takes it to another level. It's rich, moist, and the perfect way to end the meal. But honestly, the biggest reason I keep coming back? The homemade chips and salsa. They serve warm, crispy chips with a smoky salsa that I could drink straight from the bowl. It's that good. I'd probably still come here just for the chips and salsa alone.

The food was wonderful! I had 2 tacos and a side of beans and rice. From the time I walked in I was greeted and immediately seated. Ash was our waitress and she was very friendly. She took our order without paper and remembered the entire order.I am from the south and love Arlnod Palmers. They brought me an Arnold Palmer and it was actually sweet and good. I was shocked. I did not particularly like the Baja fish. The flavor was great the fish itself was a bit greasy and kind of mushy. However, I told Ash and she offered another option or swap. The manager then came over and took care of the swap for me. I told her the flavor was good it was just the fish itself. The quesosberria is a must try if you're a cheese lover. It's a taco with cheese on the outside that's deep fried. Loved it.The Ambiance was very calm and inviting. It has a relaxed vibe inside. The workers seem chill and not stressed. Everyone seemed to love working there as well. 10/10 I highly recommend trying this place if you're looking for wonderful food.Oh and the desert absolutely delicious.

Great Mexican restaurant with a hometown feel! We sat at the bar and the bartender greeted many customers by name...that's always a good sign. We started out with Chips and Guacamole and the portion was huge! We didn't think there was a whole lot of flavor to the guacamole...tasted like a mashed up avocado...not much in the way of seasoning. We both enjoyed our dinners though: I got the #18 Rajitas Picante and loved the spice! Hubby got #12 Chicken Enchiladas and said they were good but like the spice of mine. Got a couple of tasty margaritas from Jeff at the bar! Would definitely try again!

I can't believe this was the first time visiting but better late than never because this is hands down the best authentic Mexican Restaurant in the area! I met a friend for lunch and we both ordered lunch specials - I had the chicken enchilada and tamale with rice and beans and everything was SO good. The service was also wonderful - super friendly and helpful staff - and the restaurant itself was also cute with a homey ambiance. Will definitely be back!!

This is my first stop once I land in OKC. Best tripa tacos EVER..the crunch is so good Beef, tongue and beef cheek are also favs. I haven't found a place in Cali that compares to these tripe tacos. Not in the best area, but well worth it. They have outdoor seating now as well. Service is quick. Cash only. Was too excited to eat, forgot to take a picture of the food.

"50 stars for Taco San Pedro !! So I grew up in Hawaiian Gardens, where the OG one started. I have been having Taco San Pedro for over 20+ years. When I go back to HG, me & the family STILL pick up TSP. We ALWAYS order their flautas. They have THEE best flautas. So for me HG has amazing chicken ones, but here in Oklahoma City, the carne asada are better. We travel America in an RV, and NEVER in our wildest dreams would we have thought there's TSP outside of California. We came here and had asked, Huh, is this the same TSP in HG? The owner heard us and said Yes! That one was my dad's restaurant. We order flautas, extra queso, as usual, yumm, they were just like the ones back home. The owner was such a sweetheart!! He sat & we talked about his dad & the restaurant. We told him his flautas were the best we've ever had. NO ONE else is putting lettuce, creama, queso, guacamole on top. I usually buy one plain taco to mop up the "salad" after I'm done with the flautas. This was such a joy to find !!!"
"This restaurant is incredible. It's a family run, no-frills authentic Mexican restaurant. I ordered the steak Ranchero with shrimp, the meal was amazing. The side dishes including the rice and tortillas were fresh and delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant if you like authentic Mexican food, with bold flavors."
"I came here yesterday (2/23/22) with some colleagues in the middle of an Oklahoma ice storm. We were hungry and ready to warm up. The staff was very friendly when we walked in and seated us quickly. They hustled over the biggest tortilla chips I have ever seen paired up with some so-so salsa. We asked for a spicier salsa and they had some, luckily. That one was much better than the standard issue. The restaurant was short-staffed due a combo of the common shortage nationwide and the weather. The food took a while and it was hard not to want to fill up on chips and salsa. My red cheese enchiladas came out with huge sides of rice and beans. The sauce on the enchiladas was heavy with guajillo pepper flavor, almost too much. It took a while to get used to it. The beans were okay, and I just took a few bites of my rice. The food was decent but I wouldn't rush to come back. San Marcos did look like a good drinking spot, though. Some people were in there having a good time getting out of the cold by having some cold drinks, and the drinks looked good. Food was ok, service was outstanding. Enough said."
"Good food. Love the look of the new place. We have been here a few times. We went initially in December and the place is very very cold inside. Take a coat. This last time, it was 104 outside but it was pleasant inside.. the tacos are amazing as is the chips and salsa. Staff are attentive. Would recommend."
"We tried El Tapatio on Christmas Eve. We placed a large order and picked it up. I tried a chicken dish with mushrooms. It also came with rice and beans. The chicken was well seasoned and tender. We ordered large sides of queso and chips as well. Everyone enjoyed their food and we tried a wide variety of dishes."
"Food is very good. I'm a picky eater and I love this restaurant. The bar area is a nice size. Drinks are good. I enjoy the Bloody Mary's. The hostesses are okay. The servers are amazing. Always a good spot to bring out of town guests."
"Los Arcos is truly a hidden gem. I have only been here once but had a great experience. I love their set up. Their salsa and spicy salsas are delicious! It's a fun Tex-Mex place that I think is great for family, friends, and big gatherings. They are a big and spacious place. They have so many workers and they're nice! I would recommend asking for the spicy salsa. Would love to come back and try more of their different delicious entrees. Will definitely try the other location next time. They have two locations in Edmond!"
"Finally made it here again after a few years and it's still so good and very reasonably priced! If you're in Edmond and want good fast Hispanic food go here!"
"Found me a new spot for Mexican food! Actually I stumbled on this location across the street from a park in Choctaw. I read the reviews and decided to give it a shot on Valentine's Day! When I arrived the place was getting crowded. We got a table quickly and the waiter took our order. He brought us some hot chips (delicious) and salsa, I ordered small cheese dip and it was good! I don't remember the waiter coming back around but a small shy girl walked over with our water and continued to come back over to check on us. It took a while for our food but it was hot and delicious. The young girl kept our waters and chips refilled. Everything was really good. They had a Monday night enchilada dinner $7.99 and cold Mexican beers for $2! At the end of the meal, I tipped the waiter but I specifically called the young girl over and gave her the better tip and some encouragement that she was doing an awesome job! This will definitely be my new go to for Mexican food!"
"Celebrating Veteran's Day with a free lunch! Thanks Pablano's! It's such a great honor for businesses to recognize those who have served their nation! It may seem like nothing to most people but to reflect back on my 20 yr contribution to our country it's nice to see the grateful businesses that notice! The good was amazing, I did a Chicken Taco & Beef Enchilada - very tasty!!My wife chose something similar and we throughly enjoyed today's lunch!"
"This place is really close to our house.1st time here after seeing reviews from Yelp friends. Such a friendly environment server was so nice. Food was so delicious and fresh, we got street tacos and wow the pork and chicken street tacos were amazing , the girls split a kids chicken quesadilla it was delicious.Because I didn't order anything as we all split.. got banged for a setup fee. We got delicious cheese dip with our salsa will definitely be back!Respectfully,BryanYukon, Oklahoma"
"Cheese enchiladas with rice & queso. Chips, salsa, & sopapilla with a glaze of sugar."
"In town working and the front desk at the hotel suggested Mexico Joe's especially for the chips and salsa. I went before 5 to beat the crowd. I found an open spot at the bar and ordered a burbon and coke. Bartender brought me chips and salsa and suggested the chicken bacon quesadilla. Chips and salsa were mediocre at best. Chips seemed to be homemade, but the salsa was bland. The quesadilla came out, and that was great. My expectation after the salsa was low, so when the quesadilla came out, i cautiously took a bite. That was an impressive quesadilla. The chicken was tender, and the cheese and bacon were plentiful. It had an incredible cheese pull. If I were to recommend this place, it would be for that, not the chips and salsa. My Bourbon and coke was strong! Jody The Bartender was super friendly and engaging. She had been there since opening and was having to close bc someone called in, but she kept a smile on her face and a positive attitude. Overall, it was a good time, and the regulars who frequent the place were friendly as well."
