Okawa's lunch specials are the bomb! For about $25, you can get a steak and shrimp combo with fried rice and veggies, all while experiencing the joy of the hibachi flame. We had a party of 8 after my nephew's graduation, and the service was excellent. Super cute and quaint interior, excellent quality.

I really enjoy this place. The menu selection is great, lots of variety. The thing about going to a hibachi place is that you know what you're gonna get. I come more for the food, and less for the show. The chef we have had a few times is hilarious, and definitely master of the craft. Recently I've changed it up and tried new things. The sushi is excellent. The calamari pineapple is wonderful. Definitely different. All the seafood is well cooked, and not rubbery. Also the baby water trick makes me laugh!

I was in the mood for hibachi steak at 7:30 on a Friday night. So my wife and I decided to try out Okawa House. There was a group of people outside milling around, so I was afraid there'd be a wait. We went in and saw some empty tables and that the tapan tables were full. We deduced the group outside was waiting for the full tapan experience. We were not greeted for a while as a waiter, and possibly the manager walked by us without so much as a nod. Finally, a young man came and asked if we wanted a table and sat us. Within seconds, a waitress asked for our drink order. I ordered an Asahi and my wife water. Right after, the waiter came to ask if our drink order had been taken an$cwe said yes. We then ordered. My wife ordered a Las Vegas roll. I ordered the steak hibachi with fried rice along with a jalapeño lovers roll and a Santee roll. Within two minutes, my miso soup and salad with ginger dressing arrived. I barely had a dozen sips of soup and a couple bites of salad when the rolls came, and literally a minute later my entree. All told, from walking in the door to having our food, less than ten minutes. The food was delicious. The rolls fresh, tasty, and served with sumptuous sauces. The fried rice was good, the steak was mostly a bit tough, but a couple of bites were as tender as filet mignon. The yum yum and ginger sauces were obviously house made and delicious. The veggies were cooked perfectly, with sear, flavor, and crunchy the hibachi shrimp were plump, juicy, and full of flavor; probably the best I've had. I think next time, I'll get the steak/shrimp combo hibachi platter. I felt a bit rushed, but not in a bad way, and when you're in the mood for some good Japanese food, the wait is the worst part! The restaurant was quite noisy with parties celebrating, but that is what one would expect at a tapan restaurant in the states. Maybe not the best place for a first date, but great for introducing him to your family. :) The meal cost $100 before tip, not bad for what we got. There was a lot of fried rice and veggies in the doggy bag for breakfast Saturday morning too. I definitely recommend Okawa. We will be back.

Ate here with my wife and daughter last night. The service was super quick, we were seated promptly, ordered our meals promptly and the food was quick to come out to our table.Food was delicious, I had California rolls, my daughter had the spider rolls and my wife had the tempura rolls. Only reason I knock off a star here is that the portions are pretty small, we also ordered a side of noodles that was very good but I could have gone for more. Probably not necessarily a bad thing because it does keep you from over-eating as well.The ambiance was a hit with my daughter because she's really into Demon Slayer (Japanese anime) right now. I like how they have regular tables for sushi and other dinner items but they also have hibachi grill tables as well for a Benni Hanna style experience.Would definitely recommend and we'll be back to try other items in the future.
