Well, dang. The place was almost deserted when I went in; it was late afternoon so no big surprise there, but sometimes you go into a place and just get a feeling...It felt a little dark, with cold lighting. I ordered the bibimbap. The lady at the counter was very nice. She asked me if I wanted it to go or to eat in. I opted to eat there. The food came out, in a styrofoam takeout container. I said, "I was going to eat here." "We just use this container," she said. It was a layer of lukewarm (barely warm) rice, with some some kind of old looking beef, some boiled zucchini and broccoli, some kind of julienned carrot banchan, some bean sprouts and an egg, with some gochujang in a plastic condiment container. Not even any kimchi. ?!I know there's not a huge Korean community in Burien, and I wasn't expecting gosari or anything, but for $16, that was really pretty sub-basic. I won't be darkening their doorstep again.

If you are looking for a homely and quaint location to get some delicious Hawaiian/Korean food, and if you are visiting Burien, Ohana Kitchen would be a solid pick that will fulfill those cravings! We paid this restaurant a visit on a Saturday around dinner time and had our pick of seats. The ambiance of the restaurant feels very mom and pop owned, everything from layout of the tables and decorations, to just the general vibe. Ordering and picking up the food is done at the counter. Service is relatively fast, from order to pickup took about 10ish minutes - note that we did go when there were not too many other customers.I got the Kimbap and Spicy Pork entree, and both of these options were generous in the amount of food that you receive. It was especially nice since the owner saw that we wanted Kimbap and she even decided to make a new rolls just for us! The kimbap is delicious and filling, just look at the size of them in the photo! Ingredients were fresh and served as a nice appetizer if you are feeling very hungry. As for the spicy pork entree, they really are generous with the amount of pork that you will receive - it was a huge helping of spicy pork that had good flavor. Not too spicy, and was complemented nicely with the mac salad, glass noodles, and radish side.In the end, I spent about $29 for these items that you see here. I would say that I was able to get almost 2 whole meals out of everything here, make it pretty worth it in my opinion. I would definitely like to revisit Ohana Kitchen in the future to try their other enticing items! (4.5 stars)

Loved this Korean and Hawaiian fusion spot. You'll find the classics from both sides like Loco Moco, Kalua Pig, Poke, Bulgogi. I opted for the Kalua Pig and the Chicken Katsu. They are running a special for the Chicken Katsu right now where they'll throw in a large cup of curry (with meat and veggies, not just the sauce alone) for the same price you'd normally pay for the Chicken Katsu itself - great deal that I couldn't say no to! The Chicken Katsu was an absolute winner with that crispy goodness and the curry was delicious too. The meat in the Kalua Pig was quite dry though, and so I was disappointed in that plate compared to the ones I've had at other Hawaiian places. Other positive things that stood out to me during my visit:- Unlike at many of the cheap Korean restaurants I've been to, Ohana Kitchen was really generous here, everything from the napkin quantity to the utensils to the large portion sizes of the food.- The cleanliness of the place and seeing the owner lady actively spraying down and cleaning tables.- One neat feature is the "Grab and Go Delights" section with a variety of options in containers ranging from $6 to $10 each. It's a convenient option if you want to take some deliciousness home.

We stopped by on our way out of the airport and were pleasantly surprised. The auntie taking our order was funny and sweet. We ordered a side salad, spam musubi, and the bbq chicken plate and were blown away by the portion sizes! The BBQ chicken was piping hot, sweet and savory, and very moist. The pickled radish that came with it was a perfect compliment to the BBQ chicken. The spam musubi was also excellent! Beware, if you order a side salad, it's more like a full portion of salad (which isn't a problem at all for us). The restaurant itself has a few parking spots outside, we came at an off time so there were lots of spots. The food really filled us up and we were happy we came to support a family business.

Super friendly service. Love all the food here! I've gotten the poke and curry katsu. Great portion sizes. I'm always super full afterwards. I got the curry chicken katsu and it was a MASSIVE portion size. Good for two meals.....maybe even three. Delicious and crispy katsu pieces.

I decided to go with their meat jun catering, and I have to give them credit for being so accommodating with my last-minute order! The meat jun itself was yummy and their sauce was delicious. I will say the meat jun was a little thicker than what I'm used to from Hawaii, iykyk. While I've never ordered any plate lunches from them, besides catering, I do want to explore their regular menu--I have a feeling they'll be just as satisfying.

The food is great and you get generous portions. There's lots of seating. It's located in a strip mall across the street from grocery outlet. The staff are nice and helpful. Definitely worth checking out if you're near by.

Reading the reviews, I think one probably needs to be familiar with Hawaii food to appreciate what Ohana Kitchen is. It's not a Korean spot or a Hawaiian spot. It's reminiscent of food one grew up eating in Hawaii and as a mainland transplant, since we don't have Zippy's or Rainbow Drive-In here (IYKYK), we are always on the lookout for local Hawaii-inspired food.I actually went here because it's one of the only places I've found that makes meat jun. I love meat Jun - Kim Chee III (Kaimuki), Yummy's (Ala Moana), Soon's (Salt Lake City) meat Jun! Restaurants don't make it up in Washington because it's a Hawaii food thing. But when I looked at the full menu, I was drawn instead to the chicken Katsu curry. I still need to go back and try the meat Jun, but I'm a sucker for curry. It was was pricey - I think about $90. And it was ok. I can make my own meat Jun and katsu curry, but was hoping to find a place where I could order it. I appreciate what Ohana Kitchen is trying to do, and their portions were large. I loved the Japchae and Inari sushi that came with the plates! I put gravy on the Mac salad and it was yummy! I definitely want to go back and see if their meat jun tastes like home!

Was really excited to try this restaurant. Parking is a bit chaotic - we went later in the day but it could definitely be an issue during busy times. The loco moco was okay. There wasn't great flavor and the egg was overdone. The mac salad was not like Mac salad we've had in Hawaii. The service was good. The interior was definitely older.

Excellent restaurant with a popular following by locals. I ordered the Bi Bim Bop and received a generous portion! The home made sriracha was very good!
