The prices on the menu TV screens, printed banner, and website all differ from reality. It says $11.99 for the spicy pineapple chicken on the screen. I was charged $13.99 - then guilted into a tip for counter service!?I brought the price discrepancy to the attention of who seemed to be a manager. I expected that they would say, "whoops we made a mistake we fix that."Instead, I was told that it was just the tax. Apparently, I must look stupid. Tax is a separate line item. My receipt clearly showed that it was $13.99 and the menu clearly said $11.99 - it's not about the two dollars. It's about the principal and doubling down on a discrepancy. I wasn't even looking for a refund. I just wanted to help them correct their menu price. The food was OK. The spicy is actually spicy, which is nice. I expected BBQ at a BBQ place, but the chicken was clearly breaded and fried. The macaroni salad was bland. Portions were a reasonable size.

Ohana Hawaiian Island Bbq: It was a convenient 1 block walk from the Holiday Inn Express. Only 1 table in the clean dining area was occupied on a weekday mid-afternoon. My takeout order of the BBQ Chicken Plate was quickly taken. It was ready in 8 minutes. Back at my hotel I was relieved that my bag contained napkins & a plastic fork. The box contents looked good; shoyu rice w/peas, white (gohan) rice, mac. There were 2 big pieces of nicely charred BBQ white meat chicken. But... underneath them were A LOT of dark meat scraps of wildly various shapes & sizes. Though those didn't taste as good as the white meat, they were OK and I appreciated the additional meat. But the way they were COMPLETELY hidden under the better-looking white meat didn't sit well with me. Oh well. The rice was properly cooked and the mac was fine. The meal wasn't as good as the Hawaiian I'm used to ordering in Monterey and Los Angeles. But it was a welcome change of pace from burritos & burgers on my San Diego trip.

I've stopped by here a total of three times and previously had a decent experience, food was tasty the last two times and they give decent portions. This time I stop by to get their chicken. Lady at the front seems put out that I want to pay in cash and calls the cook to come to ring up my order. He digs in his ear to remove his Bluetooth piece ...rings up my order and then goes back to prepare. Never washed his hands after digging in his ear ... I just looked at the people and left. They can keep my 16$ ... not worth getting into it with them. Maybe it's a culture thing and it's ok where they are from to dig in their ears and then handle food. I won't come back and if you value hygiene in a restaurant I wouldn't recommend this place.

Haven't been to Ohana's in awhile! They have a diverse menu from Hawaiian bbq, chicken katsu, to ramen and Korean noodles.

I don't know how they're in business they never answer the phone and you have to go in person and it takes more than 30 minutes just to get your order when the employee is on there personal cell phone no wonder they don't answer the business phone that's ridiculous

False advertisement!I've always loved Ohana but over the years the quality of their service has gone significantly down, in my opinion. We recently decided to order catering for a party. We were calling all day and no one was answering the phone. Had to go in person in order to get a hold of anyone. Their website, even as of today, says that it's $75 for a full tray of katsu and $85 for a full tray of beef. When we paid, we were charged $126 for the katsu and $160 EACH for the bbq. That's TWICE the advertised price! I get that prices change--I work in marketing. But this is a classic case of false advertisement and it's so unacceptable.

Their prices on the website are not current and they have no plans to update it. Catering menu is twice as much as posted.

I call and they purposely keep hanging up on me, act like they're dialing a number, second time they answer don't say nothing then hang up, and third call he just answered and clicked. I LOVEDDDDD going there years ago- that's when their service and everything was good. Since they didn't answer I went and it wasn't busy at all. Never coming back.... disappointing the kind of service they hire and that they purposely ignore customers calls and hang up on them. So saddened that I'm leaving this.

The food is so good! Was my first time and I will definitely be back! The food was fresh, and so bomb! The service was amazing the staff was so friendly. If you're looking for Hawaiian food this is the spot. We ate the food up so fast, I didn't get a chance for pictures, but it's so well worth it.
