Ogawa's Japanese-style coffees and teas are really great for the area. I'm a big fan of their hojicha lattes as there aren't many cafes in the area that serve them. They get pretty busy on the weekends and I have waited anywhere from 5-15 minutes for a drink, but I never feel disappointed because the quality is always there. I love the seating arrangement at Ogawa, as it feels more community-like opposed to a traditional cafe. Sometimes it can be a little difficult to get seated if you need it, but I find this more of a spot to grab a drink and go.

Staff was super nice and patient as we did not know what drink to get at all. His recommendation was the matcha latte.Matcha latte- drinkable but mid as matcha was not super strong and lacking the matcha taste. Matcha latte with oat milk and espresso shit- the espresso added a little kick and didn't overpower the matcha (only 1 shot of espresso) it was super thick and creamy (probably because of the oat milk) not the biggest fan but still managed to finish the drink, so not that bad haha. Wish the matcha taste was more powerful. Hojicha latte- tastes pretty good, like a black sesame drink. But also, the drink was pretty thick which made it hard to finish.

Ogawa's actually from Japan and this is the only US location!Got the classic hojicha to go (they do matcha and hojicha best!) and the staff here are also so sweet and funny! Got an almond croissant to go with it :)They have a sit down roll cake menu, so I wanna come back next time in Boston!Best variety of seating indoors, and good study space too imo.

Having recently returned from a trip to Japan, we were craving a good iced matcha and hojicha latte so we were excited to try this highly reviewed cafe. We were so disappointed by both drinks. They did not taste anything like matcha or hojicha. Since we were not enjoying our drinks, we ended up getting a latte and cold brew as well. The cold brew tasted burnt and was quite bitter. The latte (no sugar) was the only drink we kept. Needless to say, we will be continuing our search for a good match latte in Boston

Good coffee and simple breakfast spot in downtown. This was right down the street from my hotel so I went here twice. Small place but unique bleacher seating gave more room to sit.

Loved it! And their design with the "latte arr" is the best I've ever seen. Centrally located and on the freedom trail.

Ogawa coffee was recommended to me by a couple different people and I have to say worth the wait. Many college kids are starting to move back so the line was out the door! Service was kind and quick and the shop was filled with people. The matcha latte I got for myself was pretty decent, I'd say it's 3.5/5 (which the flavor was stronger) but the coffee was delicious! Would come back again if the lines weren't as long.

We came here this morning for breakfast and drinks. The drinks were good basic chai and coffee. It was nice the cashier asked us what type of milk we wanted. However, the bagel sandwiches were awful. We ordered egg and cheese on wheat everything bagel and They looked good and freshly made, with over hard eggs. But the wheat everything bagel had no flavor and sandwiches were drenched in oil and tasted like oil. There was actually oil dripping off of the sandwich. It was actually the worst bagel sandwich I've had, made me feel sick, and we couldn't even finish half of our sandwiches. For $40 for the two drinks and sandwiches (including tip), I was not impressed. Not sure I would return for food, but the drinks were fine. There are large bleachers to sit down and a few small tables throughout. There is also one gender-neutral bathroom.

My second time here and came for the sandwich and drink. The vibes are pretty chill and is clean and welcoming to work or have a catchup with your friends. I got a hojicha latte and love that it's not too sweet and you can taste the good quality taste of the tea. I love their sandwich and always got the bagel with egg, bacon, avocado. I think the sweet chili mayo (not spicy at all) makes a big difference and a nice addition taste to the sandwich. The staff are very nice and friendly. They are also pretty knowledgeable. Will definitely recommend to check out if you love coffee or tea lattes. I heard it's a franchise from Japan and only have one location here in the US. :)

Really cute cafe that is Japanese background. Everything was very good and came out at a decent time. They have limited food menu, but big enough where everyone can get what they want for a quick breakfast. Lattes are SO cute!!!! Seating is limited!
