We went here Saturday evening and enjoyed the German Octoberfest menu. It was delicious.Even though a couple things were missing on our dinner plates the staff was quick to fix this and bring the items that were missing. Fun Irish pub with lots of beers on tap.

I wanted a full meal while hanging out at Rail Hop'n and Oddfellas was the obvious choice since it's next door. I ordered online and decided to pop in ~10 mins before the quoted time in the hopes that the food wouldn't be sitting out too long. I arrived right as they were bagging everything - perfect timing!!While I was in there I noticed just how dead it was. It was a Thursday at about 6pm so not exactly a peak day, but wow. Where is everyone?? Not exactly promising. I grabbed my food and happily headed back next door.I got a veggie wrap while my dinning partner got the Red's Irish chili. First thing I noticed? They didn't provide any cutlery. Now, I can handle the fact that my wrap wasn't cut in half and still eat it, but how is one supposed to eat chili without a spoon?!? Thankfully Shaun at Rail Hop'n had a spoon so I didn't have to walk back over there. Fries were cold. Chili was lukewarm. Both disappointing since I chatted with the employee while she packed everything up and then got into it not even 5 mins later. Perhaps that's why there was almost no one in there? It was okay. I guess. I see no reason to come back.

If you're looking for a quiet place to eat, you shouldn't be going to a sports pub. Having said that, this one has a special annoyance in the noise category. There is a dance school/studio above it. I initially thought the noise was from the trains passing by but it was too constant. At times, it sounded like the roof was going to cave in. On to the food. It's pub fare, but extremely varied. Not just burgers and wings. Started with the Big Ass Pretzel, which lived up to its name. It came with three sauces; jalapeño beer cheese, nacho cheese and a mustard mix. Then I ordered the Cottage Pie. It did not disappoint. I was full after finishing that. My only complaint was the cheese and dill muffin it was served with. I could have done without that.

Looking for a good sandwich in Auburn area tried Oddfellas. So MANY choices! We had the Big A** Pretzel to start. I had the Burgerasm, Wife had Irish nachos, and Daughter had Mac and cheese. All were excellent. We will be back to try the rest of the menu.

The maple syrup has absolutely no taste. It was just really sweet. It was also gritty so I'm thinking it's just corn syrup sweetened. The country potatoes we're greasy and the green peppers weren't that warm, telling me they cooked the peppers and onions beforehand. Gravy came with the omelette. I understand why. The pot roast was tough and didn't have much flavor. I've had better pot roast from other Irish pubs.

I'm from hot ass Texas so I don't know anything about Sheppard's Pie/Cottage Pie except that when I lived in Michigan it was the best thing on a cold, rainy day.I'm visiting Seattle and the weather being cold and rainy, I had a hankering. So I googled "Irish pub" near where my hotel is in Auburn.Oddfellas is deceptively spacious. I walked in and there are a ton of table tops. Large bar area. It reminds me of many sports bars/pubs I've been to in my life--which I like. I tried to get a seat at the bar but the waitress was like there is a huge amorphous group at the bar so you'd probably be better off at a booth. I guess they were celebrating something. I tried the Little Red Fox & Manny's Pale Ale. Both are delicious. Like really good. I ordered their cottage pie. It came out on a hot skillet and, let me tell you, that s*** is FIRE. So tasty. I put some Tabasco on it because they didn't have tapatio. But it was flavorful without the hot sauce but it's a must--IYKYK. The crusted bits on the edges were so good. I love sheppard's pie. Love everything about it. And this was good & hearty. It comes with a thing of gravy which I didn't try. BUT WAIT. Let me tell y'all. It also came with this biscuit. I WOULD COME BACK HERE JUST FOR THIS BISCUIT. IT'S F****** DELICIOUS. Garlic-y and just the right amount of crunch for texture. OMG. It was so good I ordered a to go order because I'm a glutton. Prices are good. Service was great. My server was attentive without being over bearing. I'd 100% recommend this place to anyone in the area.
