Yuri's Restaurant

I've ordered through doordash on multiple occasions and have always been satisfied with their pupusas! Definitely a solid 8/10They have plenty of other options to choose from as well but we've always just stuck with the pupusas and platano.Highly recommend if you're looking for good pupusas in the Oakland area!

Yuri's Restaurant is in Sombrerioto Loco's space. interior looks same. just take out now. offerings: Mexican, Salvadorean, Honduran eatseats: Chicken tamale (3.50, Honduran), Pork tamale (3, Salvadorean)-both tamales were very large, bigger than the usual cart offerings.Honduran one had firm masa, lots of chicken meats within, mostly drySalvadorean tamale had semi-moist, smooth masa, a few pieces of juicy pork pieces, came with sour cream, green salsa.drink: watermelon aqua fresca (comped) -very addictive taste, lightly iced, with fresh watermelon flavor. there's sugar. unsure how much. it's mixed expertly. menu & pics didn't have pricing. would skip tamale next time. too dry. lots of other choices.

Food tasted great, the flautas were made with authentic hand made tortillas. The caldo de chicken was perfect, very flavorful with a the sides. On the downside it was super expensive. I paid $80.00 for what i thought were 5 dinners. It was hard to tell as they spoke little to no english which made the experience very difficult. Although the food was enjoyable the atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired. I couldn't tell from standing at the counter but it appeared the kitchen is a series of hot plates and warmers. Couldn't tell if the cooking is performed on site and if not one would have to question the freshness or even if the food is cooked in an approved NSF kitchen.Not sure i will go again or recommendGoodluck to them

Big portions, nice lady at the front, great salsa, great tasting food, what more can a guy ask for.

Really disappointed with my order. I placed an order on a food delivery app. The pupusas were ok. I had ordered horchata but they gave me different drinks which were way too sweet. The salsa was the worst salsa I have ever had. There was a thick layer of oil and it didn't even taste like authentic Salvadoran salsa. It almost looks like the consome that quesabirria tacos comes with but it had no taste. Really bad!
