I've driven by this place a thousand times & finally decided to try it out. Man am I glad I did! Lamb 5outta5, tender & full of flavor, same with the rice. Their green sauce is divine! I went back the next day and had the tandoori chicken. 5outta5 The chicken was absolutely delicious! I want to learn more about Afghan cuisine. The spice blends are amazing. The service was excellent. I got my food to go but I could've dined in as well. Very chill & welcoming vibe. I'll definitely be trying more dishes.

We stopped by for lunch to try a new restaurant and oof, it was a list of disappointing interactions.We both wanted to order a combo kebab and the owner restricted the combo selections we could have. It was not made very clear in the menu...I ordered the chicken and lamb kebab combo and my SO ordered the beef and lamb kebab.After some time, our order came out and it felt as if we were being served leftovers and scraps of lettuce with a few morsels of meat. Our food is nowhere near most of the pictures you see on the yelp page for this restaurant...Top it off with the fact that my SO's order was incorrect. My SO did not receive any beef and only got lamb. When he asked the owner, he merely laughed and said it indeed was beef and lamb. We both tried the meats and it was only lamb... no beef... The rice was not very fresh and it was mediocre. The food was oily and we were both feeling very hungry. You only get a few bites of meat here.Also, we asked for two cups of water and he gave us a pitcher of water where it tasted like plastic so the water was not potable.Hard pass on this restaurant.

Yummy in my tummy! Cliche, I know. You have to enrich your palate, so come here for authentic Afghani cuisine. All five of your senses will be activated.The cozy spot is filled with cultural accents and decor, from maps to paintings of native lands and peoples. The smell of kabobs being cooked over high flames, not too mention the aroma of spices in the air. And yes, you can watch it all go up in flames; i.e, watch the cook at work and the meat on the chopping board. Can you smell what I'm cooking?! And the food is true to taste. The lamb is fresh, juicy, and tender. Don't forget the rice, providing a bed for the meat to nestle in, like me on a couch during a rainy day in the Bay. I also had a side of chicken kabob, which also gave the lamb a run for its money! No, really, the food is booming with flavors. There's a reason this place had news articles written about their food. And for the price (affordable); let's just say support locally-owned business. I wouldn't call it a "hole in the wall" but more so a "hot spot."

I grew up as the honorary Afghani child in my besties family. So no one makes food better than my Afghani mom from Kandahar. However, YUMMY grill stays consistently good. Kebabs seasoned and cooked well. Many is great consistency- not smooshy. Love the eggplant and cauliflower dishes. It's my go to door dash when I'm missing my home food. I do not recommend dining, it's in an area that I'd rather not hang in.
