I never knew this restaurant had a branch here! I absolutely love having congee during the winter. The ambiance here is much better than the one in San Jose--love it! The friendly waitress is definitely a big plus.I ordered the fish congee, but it didn't have much flavor. However, the Laiwan congee had great presentation, and the small shrimp cheung fan was the standout--so delicious!Overall, I really enjoyed this restaurant and will definitely revisit.

Came here and 11:30 on a Wednesday and there were a few ppl waiting for take out. So we got the whole place to ourselves. We ordered:1 shumai- they are on the smaller size but they were yummy and chewy!2. Black gold egg custard buns- very soft buns and inside the custard was liquidy3. Pork and gold preserved egg congee- the congee was on the thicker side. Pork is big pieces instead of the usual ones with strands of pork. Also it is not as salty as the usual pork and preserved egg congee.4.Mushroom chicken rice noodle- lots of chicken and mushroom. The rice noodle was very soft .All in all, everything was tasty and not too salty. Highly recommended if you need some comfort food!

Stopped by Sunday morning after looking up a porridge place since I was feeling a little under the weather from our Vegas place and this was only about 3 mins away. Yin ji is conveniently located near stoneridge plaza with 99 ranch and a lot of other Asian restaurants. If you're looking to swing by, expect it to be busy!We ordered the preserved egg and pork porridge, pork liver porridge, Chinese donut wrapped in rice paper, and chicken feet. Everything was super tasty and made me feel immediately better! Their dim sum is on the pricier side but their porridge and Chang fen is quite affordable and really tasty. Overall, I'll definitely be stopping by more often! I do miss my old dim sum take out spots in Milpitas and nothing can ever replace their lunch specials, but yin ji definitely itches that porridge craving.

The restaurant is a Guangzhou-based franchise. We came in during prime lunch time. It didn't take us too long to be seated after adding our name to the list, but it did take a long time for the food to come out. It was quite busy with just two people who worked the roles of waitresses, bussers, and cashiers. They needed a person to maintain the bathrooms. The trashcan was overflowing with paper towels. We ordered the shrimp rice noodle roll and marinaded beef rice noodle roll. I preferred the beef. Something different was that the rolls had lettuce in them, which added texture. We also ordered the sliced pork, liver and kidney congee. I enjoyed it even more than the rolls. It didn't seem like a lot of food, but I was quite full afterwards.

Went here with my parents and they said this restaurant is quite famous in Guangzhou. The rice noodle rolls are this restaurant's specialty ("chang fen" in the restaurant name = steamed rice noodle rolls). I've been here before and definitely love how thin and smooth their wrapping is (a crucial component of a well-made rice roll). Their shrimp rice roll is quite delicious (good amount of firm but tender shrimp), as well as the mushroom/chicken one. Only thing is that it's soo easy to slurp the rice rolls and you end up wondering where they went. Expect to order at least 2 per person in order to feel contentAsian parent approved

I order delivery or pickup at least once a month. This is some of the ultimate comfort food. i love all their different rice rolls with that yummy sauce and get the fried tofu that served with a side of seasoning powder. The pastries and dessert buns are also quite satisfying. Always a perfectly satisfying amount of food for me

After a few trips to NYC where we got hooked on Joe's Steamed Rice Rolls located in Flushing, and on Canal Street in Manhattan, it was a joy to find Yin Ji Chang Fen here in the Pacific Pearl Mall just across the giant intersection from the Outlets in Pleasanton.Inside you'll find modern simple casual decor with a pleasant ceiling with wood accents. Tons of free parking in the giant lot out in front. Service is unobtrusive and efficient.YJCF focuses on steamed rice rolls with different fillings. We usually order either of the following:Pork (patty) filling orChar Siu (chopped BBQ pork) filling For condiments we like to add corn, and sometimes the lettuce. We would prefer bean sprouts instead of lettuce, but maybe this is a kind suggestion to the owners here for the future. The light soy sauce is on also point.. a little sweet as well as being savory. They serve a lot of congee here too, if you are in the mood! We've been here a few times now, and it's always worth a visit if we are in the mood for steamed rice rolls in this part of the Tri-Valley.
