I've been intrigued to try YGF Malatang ever since I saw someone sip on their broth with their big bowl from there. It was my friend and I's first time so the workers gave us a bowl and tongs to pick up items for our bowl. Food: The broth is so good! We both thought the broth was too spicy so we would get mild spice next time. The ingredients are top quality. My favorite was the crunchy tofu and the unique tofu mochi with the flat noodles. I like the beef balls, lamb, and the enoki mushroom too. The cost of your meal depends on how much it weighs. My friend and I got enough for two meals because we couldn't finish ours. They give you a lot of broth too. The portions are huge for the price you pay so I would say it is pretty affordable. Ambiance: Parking can be hard to find because it's in a busy plaza. The workers are very nice and filled up our water cups and even put the food we couldn't finish into the take out container too. There is one restroom inside too. I will definitely be back!:)

I love all the variety of ingredients here that you can throw into your bowl. This is like hotpot but they cook it for you. The way pricing works is that they weigh the amount of ingredients that you choose. There is a minimum of getting 0.8 lbs. There are many different types of broths and some are priced differently. My favorite is the classic beef bone broth with mild spice. It's so flavorful and delicious. Service is quick too. I am never able to finish my entire bowl so I pack the leftovers, heat up the soup for my next meal and toss in more veggies. The plaza can be pretty packed and there is even a short wait for weekday lunches. Tables are very close together and I don't think it would be too great of a place for large groups (such as groups of 5 or more). Most tables are designed for 1-2 people.

First time trying this DIY hot pot style and it was pretty good! I really liked the classic bone broth, salty and flavorful. Only downside for me was the sauce selection as there was only sesame and soy sauce (which is fine, just not my preferences).

I highly recommend to come before opening to avoid any lines! they get busy pretty quickly. Unlike other locations nearby, you pay after your meal. I highly recommend getting their classic bone broth. It doesn't look the most appetizing, but it is so flavorful!Protip: bring the leftover soup home and add your own ingredients to make more malatang or use it as a mini hot pot soup base. This location also has pea sprouts, which makes adding it well worth the price, considering that pea sprouts run for about $13/pound at supermarkets.I do prefer this location over Milpitas because of their layout and the ingredients they offer. We'll definitely be back!

2nd time visiting YGF Malatang Noodles and it always satisfied my cravings. Even have leftovers to take home. Love the huge selection of toppings and service is always so fast! I usually get the money bag, meat balls, tofu, fish cakes, noodles, and meats. Staff are very attentive and offer water refills. The space itself is clean and well maintained periodically. They even have their own make-your-own sauce bar. Concept is simply. Grab a large bowl and tong. Pick whatever you want down the line. Once you're ready, you select your flavor base. It could be dry or soup. I usually go for the Tom Yum flavor. They weigh your bowl and pay. I like their cute Sanrio drink selection too! They have Chi sparkling water and Milkis cream soda. This place is a great if you're looking for a hot comforting meal that doesn't break the bank!

Why didn't I try this place sooner? This spot offers a DIY hot pot experience like no other! Imagine creating your own perfect bowl by selecting fresh ingredients, choosing your broth, customizing the spice level, and then letting them cook it for you. It's the ultimate combination of convenience and flavor.Their broth options include the popular Beef Bone broth (available in mild or medium spicy), Classic Bone, Tom Yum, and Sweet & Sour Tomato. I opted for the medium spicy Beef Bone broth, and it was absolutely incredible! Next time, I'm eager to try the Tom Yum for a different flavor experience. What truly sets this place apart are its unique options. Sweet potato noodles, fish cake with mochi, rice cake nuggets, and the fortune bag were just some of the standout options that made my meal unforgettable.Service was quick and they kept refilling our waters. With the chilly weather upon us, YGF Malatang is the perfect spot to warm up and indulge in a comforting, flavorful meal this holiday season.

A new find in the popular Cupertino plaza with your classic eats but the only hotpot self serve & select option. Service; In terms of taking your order not so much, the service is set aside from clearing tables, refilling their buffet layout of toppings & managing seating (they have a text number option) and payment. * Everything is based on weight, the soup base is chosen as the end of the cue and marked with a number.1) choose your items you want cooked in the hot soup2) go to cashier3) they tag your bowl with some number 4) you go sit at table with that number 5) they bring out foodAmbiance felt very fast casual and it gets quite steamy in there during the cold months!

The WORLD'S LARGEST mala tang chain is actually very tasty and worth every penny! I love the sweet and hearty tomato broth. It pairs really well with the various proteins and tofu.I definitely recommend loading up on the sliced beef, enoki, and the mochi tofu cakes! Soooo good. The veggies here were fresh and staff were frequently refilling ingredients too. It gets pretty busy around 6:30 PM, especially for takeout orders. This is a fun and customizable experience that I would recommend to anyone.
