Came as a party of 2 to enjoy lunch in a Tuesday. We arrived about 30 mins after opening and there were already a few parties already seated and enjoying their meal. The host confirmed whether we wanted to go with the AYCE stone grill lunch menu or steam pot. While we opted for the AYCE lunch, you do have the option to go for the dinner menu which costs a bit more but offers you more items to choose from. The meal immediately started off with cheese corn and each round of ordering can consist of 10 items max. Your meal runs for a 90 minute time limit and any excessive leftover foods will come with additional charges. Protein items vary and even with the limited lunch menu, you have a good selection of about 20 meats & seafood options. Among few of my favorites: Wagyu bulgogi, pork belly, & wagyu brisket. Do yourself a favor and grab yourself an order of the lettuce wrap & garlic. Service was awesome. With only one gentleman manning all of the occupied tables, he did a great job making rounds and being attentive. There were some wait times but never long enough to actually complain. 5/5 stars. It's a bit more expensive than Gen's but the quality of meats @ Xian are clearly better. I'd come here again without any hesitation but I may just stick with the yakiniku [stone grill].

I've seen this place on social media and knew it was incredibly pricey. However, my family and I wanted to try it, and so I came in with high expectations. Unfortunately, we did have the best experience. This place was very flashy, with a wall-sized screen and fancy decor. The restaurant itself is not super big, but with all the fancy furniture, it seems very grand.I booked a reservation, and we waited about ten minutes for our table to be ready. Our server came to get us started, but I believe their system was down, so it took a while for them to re-situate the ordering process. Regardless, when the food started to come, I was excited to try their premium meats. I was disappointed to say the meats were not as tasty as I would have wished. They specialize in wagyu, but every single piece of meat we got was so fatty and not flavorful. It was just fat on oil, I wish they would have given us some salt to cut down. The only dishes I liked were the wagyu rice and seafood. What's even worse was that service was not consistent! Our server checked in on us for the first half of our meal, but afterwards, we could not find him to order more. Instead, we saw a group of servers all gathered by the front talking with each other. I would try to get their attention to get the bill, and it took about ten minutes of waving them down to get them to notice. I would not come here again, it's not worth the price.

In short, this place is not really worth the price. It's pretty inside and the service is not bad but the price does not reflect the food and the experience overall. It's in a plaza so expect parking to be difficult during peak dinner time. We opted for the premium menu which comes with a few more upgraded "limited items" - they limit the more expensive cuts of meat and have AYCE for other menu items. The meat that they limit is pretty good, it's unfortunate that it's literally one piece of each per person given the price you're paying. The unlimited meat was not that great which is shocking for the price tag. Overall place was cool to try once since it's in a plaza i frequent and was curious about it but i probably wouldn't come back because i don't think it's worth the price.

Feasting like emperors with wagyu meats plated on a gold cow, where luxurious atmosphere meets the grill! This all-you-can-eat buffet ($46.95 regular menu and $69.95 premium menu) comes with a parade of the finest meats and seafood. Japanese Wagyu and melt-in-your-mouth US Wagyu cuts. Plus, the Clay Pot Wagyu Rice is a showstopper. Every sizzle on the grill promised a taste of opulence, and did it deliver! Service was good as they kept checking in on us, however you'd need to grill your own meats. Some items I had: Japanese Miyazaki Wagyu (premium menu)Australian / US Gold LineWagyu Chuck EyeWagyu Brisket Wagyu Beef TongueWagyu Short Rib Miso / spicy pork belly Steam oyster (premium menu)Cajun ShrimpClay Pot Wagyu Rice

We took the steam style. Big prawns still kicking but it wasn't as sweet or bouncy as I imagined. Giant clams with cell noodle was good but I wished they would create the sauce for it and not leave it to us for the sauce. The wagyu claypot rice was a bit bland but the beef was good. The seaweed was a bit too sweet. The lotus moved pork was a bit smelly, the meat and not steam long enough.

What a unique experience! Came here on a Friday night at 6pm, with a reservation. The restaurant was quite packed. Note that although the plaza parking lot is huge, it's always super crowded during dinner times -- expect to take awhile to find parking. We were lucky enough to witness some open parking spots at around 5. Xian has a modern, almost futuristic vibe. The inside has dim lighting, with blue LED lights on the beams, and water bubble walls. There are rooms in the back for private parties. We ordered everything from the steam pot menu, and the whole menu has Chinese and Japanese dishes. We ordered the geoduck, steamed wagyu, steamed kurobuta, coonstripe shrimp, steamed scallop with vermicelli, abalone, Chinese napa cabbage, and steamed rib, with the millet porridge in the base. The waiter "cooks" everything on the steamer on each table. Essentially, they bring the dish to the table and put it in the steamer for a designated amount of time. First, they put the millet grain in the water to boil. While the rest of the dishes are steaming, the porridge is being cooked under -- I thought this to be a very innovative idea! There's also a sauce bar at the side, with some other small bites like peanuts, chicken feet, spicy cucumbers and seaweed, and fruit. They also give you their house special sauce (which I personally found to be too salty, so I stuck to my own sauce). All the seafood and meat came out incredibly fresh. The wagyu, kurobuta, and shrimp were fresh and tender. The oysters and vermicelli were paired with a rich sauce that was so flavorful, and the oysters were absolutely massive! The abalone had such great texture and was very fresh. My absolute favorite of the night was the geoduck -- it was served in a sashimi like fashion over ice and with wasabi. The texture was almost like rubber, but in the best way possible. It was crunchy yet soft, and I would definitely get this again. I was glad to end the meal with the warm porridge that had been boiling our entire meal. Extremely satisfied with Xian. From the fresh seafood to great service to unique vibe, it's a must try! Can't wait to come back!

Tried the Premium AYCE which comes with a few extra cuts of meats. The extra cuts aren't unlimited though, only a small tasting per person served on a really nice cow display. Honestly, I was only really wowed by the A5 Wagyu but wouldn't pay the extra $30 or so for the other stuff. All the meat here was good and rich and definitely better quality than places like GEN, goku, or seapot. However I don't know if I'd pay a whopping $70 for the experience again. Of all the meats other than A5 Wagyu I'd recommend the Sasa. Our server was really helpful and cooked everything for us. Really cool ambience inside. If you're willing to splurge a bit for some higher quality grilled meat then this is your spot!

Family and I came to SteamPot for the first time on New Years Eve a little after opening hour. There wasn't a wait when we arrived, but it packed up very quickly within the next hour. Service was slow and inattentive as we had to flag down our server several time for water. To be fair, he was the only one managing our sections and seemed to be covering many tables.Foodwise, this time, we did the premium BBQ because I was interested in the idea of AYCE steamed oysters. The steamed egg was a favorite more so because because was served in a gigantic Dino egg. After going through all the wagyu items, everything else tasted like your typical kbbq experience.I'd like to come back to try their a la carte steam pot side for the clams and other things.

Xian gets my 1000th review and just in time for NYE 2024! I ended up dining Yakiniku BBQ style but have seen the Steam Pot option all over Instagram this past year. I'll have to come back for that. Our group of three went with the regular AYCE menu. Didn't realize it was AYCE only. We visited on a Monday so it wasn't busy at all despite the 30 person private party in the middle of the venue. Service from our waiter was great! He was very attentive and not passive at all. Very informative and he allowed us to order more than 10 items at once. Complimentary sauce bar & fruit bar at the backThe regular menu allows multiple orders of practically everything except the following:1 piece Hokkaido scallop per person2 pieces each:Australian Gold Line WagyuUS Gold Line WagyuWagyu M8+These were all magnificently presented on the golden ox smoking and flashing theatrically.*Apps we ordered:EdamameGreen SaladMiso SoupShrimp TempuraGyozaChicken KaraageWagyu Clay Pot Rice*Meats, Seafood, Veggies we tried:Wagyu House SteakWagyu BrisketWagyu BulgogiWagyu SasaMiso Pork BellyCajun ShrimpZucchiniKing MushroomRegular menu is $46.95 & premium is $69.95. Premium includes:1 piece King crab Tartar, 1 piece Japanese Miyazaki Gyu A5, & AYCE steam oysters + steam egg.Kids 40-50 inches in height are half price but do not receive the 1-2 piece specials. I haven't seen the steam pot menu and I'm hoping it has an a la carte option. Looking forward to trying the porridge! The restaurant is very clean and impressive looking. The bar is stylish and looks cool. My only issue was the inclusion of chicken feet right next to the fruit. If customers want to order it, that's fine. I just didn't think the fruit looked appetizing next to it.

I went to this restaurant to celebrate my dad's birthday, and we chose the yakiniku option. The food was good, featuring high-quality meat that we enjoyed, but the overall experience had its challenges. One downside was the ordering system--you have to use your phone, and only one person's phone can place the orders. As the one responsible for ordering, it was frustrating to manage that while trying to enjoy my meal. A tablet or table-side ordering system would have been much more convenient. We were seated in a booth, which was fine, but the walkway was tight. Getting sauces and returning to the table felt cramped, especially with another family seated directly behind us.The price was on the higher side--$50 per person for the regular menu and $70 per person for the premium option. While the food quality was good, it didn't seem worth it for a larger group. On a positive note, the service was excellent. The server took the time to explain everything since it was our first visit, and they were very attentive throughout the meal. The ambiance was clean and well-maintained, although it was a bit dark.Overall, while the food and service were solid, the layout and ordering system made the experience less enjoyable than it could have been.
