A friend and I decided to try this place on a Saturday, I have the Livermore Wine Passport and this winery is part of the passport. I picked this because it was open late, till 7pm while most places closed at 5:30. We arrived around 5:30pm, this is a small little winery with it's own parking, like in a mini mall but this is the only business there. It was pretty crowded at that time but we were able to find parking. Quite a large parking lot plus atreet parking. We did not have a reservation and when we got there, we realized that the place was having a Halloween themed party. The hostess still seated us but told us that we wold not be able to sit at the bar till 7pm because of the party. The bar is where you do the tasting. The place was about 50% full but the pourers saw to us immediately. They had 6 tastings with one extra that was not on the menu. They don't sell food but on the day we we visited, they had 2 food trucks. The whites were pretty good, especially the chardonnay. I am not a big fan of reds so I can't comment on them but it was red wine heavy. I settled for an extra pour of the Grenache and Chardonnay. The place started filling up soon after and it was getting too crowded but everyone who was pouring were fantastic to deal with! Our pourer even waived stamping the passport because it was rushed and busy and just said to come back again and enjoy the place when there was no event. Who does not love that!Wood Family Vineyard is also dog and kid friendly - bonus! I would go back again.

Met up with Yelp buddy for an evening of music from the band Urban Sky. Wood family Vineyard is a winery located in an industrial complex in Livermore. They have a tasting room that doubles as a music venue. The menu has lots of wine and no food. For eats your directed to a Salvadoran food truck across the street in the parking lot of Altamont Beer Works. Urban sky the band was rockin in the packed room. Good thing we had reservations and got one of the couches. The crowd was 50+ and the dance floor was filled. The parking lot for Woods is small and street parking is hard. Not a lot of service so just order bottles and pour your own.

Some pretty good wine and even better service. Surprised that they did not have crackers, cheese or other snacks for purchase to enhance the wine tasting experience. The tasting room is located in an industrial which is completely weird and does not add to the experience. This makes it feel like the tasting room is an afterthought putting it next their wine storage room.

This place was so fun with their tasting room becoming a concert venue. We were grooving to music from Urban Sky with their great new female singer that made the place smile! The petite Syrah and Merlot wines were delicious and priced reasonably.I got to me Rhonda Woods and she is a fun and happy business owner . She loves wine and music so this place is a big win for her.

Got invited to the winery for a wine release party; which entailed tasting their wines some of which were paired very nicely with small bites of food, which were quite delicious; meatballs with a red wine, a little pork slider more red wine & lastly a vegetable wrap with mole sauce on top & you guessed it more red wine. Not giving specifics as to the wines themselves, it's a must that you go in & do a tasting. Wine is completely subjective to the person tasting, in short the wines were all flavorful, each with its distinct characteristics. The service was stellar, the owner was there greeting folks & very personable. The atmosphere was casual & your doggies are welcome! Definitely coming back around.

We have been members at Wood Family for many years and love all of their wines. We love bringing friends to their large indoor tasting room with options of chairs and tables or couches. The servers are friendly and knowledgeable. They are family friendly and allow outside snacks but often have a food truck on weekends. If you have not tried wood family yet, you are missing out!

We had a fantastic wine tasting experience at Wood Family Winery in Livermore. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a perfect spot for an afternoon of wine tasting.Randy, who assisted us at the bar, was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. He provided detailed descriptions of each wine we tasted, enhancing our overall experience. The selection of wines was impressive, ranging from Rosé to Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and petit Verdot. Each wine had its unique character, and we thoroughly enjoyed tasting them all.We had such a great time that we ended up buying a couple of bottles to take home, which allowed us to waive the tasting fee.Overall, Wood Family Winery offers excellent wine, exceptional service, and a lovely ambiance. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy some quality wine in a friendly and inviting setting!

Visited the tasting room on a busy Wednesday evening. They were having an event so we were thankful to be seated without a reservation. Jane was taking care of us and explained up front there was no tasting menu due to the event but she did let us taste a couple different wines before we settled on the bottle we purchased. We settled on the tasty Sauvignon Blanc. The rest of the staff that we came in contact with were friendly as well. They had acoustic music and the room was packed, they did great taking care of everyone. The location is dog friendly and you are free to bring your own snacks. There was a food truck out front, we didn't stop by. Across the street at Altamont Brew there is also a food truck there during normal business hours. Plenty of parking in the lot and on the street. It's an industrial area so not too much traffic and easy to get to. We enjoyed our time out and wouldn't mind stopping by again to do a tasting.

We walked in Saturday 5:30pm for a party of 7. We were seated right away. It was busy too. We brought some snacks in to eat while we drank the flight. Sadly, the wines weren't very impressive. We only liked the clone 30 Cab. But staff was nice. It was stuffy and warm inside. Tasting fee was $20 for 6 wines.Rose- okCab franc - not good Malbec- ok Captain Bordeaux blend - okThe crazy red Bordeaux- not goodClone 30 Cab- decent

I wanna start by saying Chase was an excellent server. He knew a ton of details about the source of the grapes. The price of the flight was good. He snuck in the cab Sav to bridge the tasting to the "Big Wood" zin and I BOUGHT IT!The music was nice. It was a relaxed environment. I was at 4 stars until the Viva Cab. The Muy Bueno was DELICIOUS!
