Truly authentic German food in a laid-back, no-fuss spot where you can count on a hearty meal. Order the schnitzel and sausages, they never miss. Their beer list is top-notch (and the cider is a hidden gem). We've come here multiple times with friends, and it's always a great hangout.

My first time here! Food and beer was pretty decent but unfortunately had a really bad service experience, our group felt like we were being ignored by our waitress at each step of the way (being asked our order without having been brought any menus, having to go up to the counter to grab ourselves utensils) so our overall experience wasn't too enjoyable. Want to come back to try more of the menu, but going to avoid friday night rush next time!

I came here on a Tuesday night with a few friends of mine. Pretty empty, so was really easy to find a large table for us. Service was also fairly fast.I personally found the food quite expensive and not super memorable. We got a few of the wursts to share, and they were all decent. Overall a bit too salty for my taste, without anything to really counteract/balance out the salt. I also got the schnitzel which was decent. Pretty crispy exterior, inside was tender. Flavors weren't amazing though. Overall, would be happy to stop by for a beer, but probably not for the food again!

I love how you can get your Wurst multiple different ways. We tried the Bavarian plate and the SF style. I was tempted by the nachos, but decided against it. The potato salad on the Bavarian plate stole the show. It's so simple but so good. You order at the counter or find a spot to sit and order using QR code. Once your food is ready, the bring it to your table. The dining area is made up of long tables with benches so great for a large group.

Came here with a friend for a few casual drinks. Great vibes and beer selection! The place was fairly empty on a weekend night so very easy to get a table. We didn't have a chance to try the food but had a great time! I'd recommend to anyone looking for a casual drink in the Castro/Mission area!

I've walked past here countless times, and finally decided to give it a try. This place is great for people watching and has a nice comfy vive to it. You can order using a QR code, where a server will bring drinks/food out to you, and you can pay using the QR code as well.They have a good variety of beers and all the ones I tried were good. I also had one of the spicy brats and it definitely had a kick to it. The chips were also good, and overall the prices are reasonable for SF. Definitely a good option for a more casual meal/drink!

A dog friendly indoor beer garden (yes dogs allowed inside). Friendly and helpful service where they allow you to taste before you buy. Beautiful decor with communal tables too. Self-service on tap water, board games and sinks outside the toilets are nice amenities. Oh yes, the beer and bratwursts are great too. They have a nice x-section on beer, from pils to IPA to wine. German-style food choices compliments their beer nicely. With the communal tables - we have enjoyed coming here with just 2 people to meeting here with a big group. We will return!

The space is very open and full of light. Seating is plentiful with an extended bar top and lots of tables for 8 that can be communal during higher times. They have a pretty good variety of beers on rotation. Tried the Hefeweizen and a cider, both were very good and drinkable (4/5). For food we opted for pretzel sticks (3.5/5). Would have preferred a Bavarian knot but the pretzels were good and the beer cheese sauce was tasty. We also got two sausage plates- one SF style (5/5) and one Bavarian with red cabbage and German potato salad (5/5). The SF was amazing! I could have eaten another one with the tasty cheese and onions. I wish I would have upgraded to fries instead of chips though, or asked if it was an option as I saw fries with another platter nearby. We had three different sausages and all were very good. This seems like a great spot with lots of event taking place throughout the week. If we were locals, I'm sure this would become a frequent stop.

Really interesting restaurant and creative interior! This is a brewery and restaurant in one. I ordered the burger and stayed for a drink. The employee that took my order was an older woman and wasn't exactly friendly or welcoming. The food was good and the restaurant had numerous games to play. Overall great place but workers can do a better job in regard to customer service.

It's a nice spot to relax, I like going during lunch and sitting in the nice bright space and having some great food and beer. They have some vegan and non-alcoholic options as well. Always friendly and accommodating!
