Give this hidden gem a try! We've gotten takeout three times and each order was delicious. Also, it's sweet to see the owner's family hanging out on occasion. P.S. - Spicy means spicy.

Favorite Indian Pakistani restaurant in the area. The chef here knows what she's doing. The flavor in the eggplant dish (smokey) and the chicken karahi is so so good, get it spicy.We also frequent the aloo naan, the tandoori salmon (comes with rice) and the biriyani; I thought they had shrimp biriyani at one point and that was excellent. But not now, so we get the chicken one. It's good, not as good as the shrimp one. Online ordering system makes it easy to order and pick up (no up charges like the take out apps). Parking lot is a lil funky, no big deal.

Hidden, but solid Pakistani food spot in El Sobrante. It's located in a such non-descript area, but well worth it once you find it. I love traditional Indian food, and Pakistani food is very similar....but at the same time it also has its differences. Food is very flavorful and you can taste various spices in each dish. This place is a 10 min drive so I can always come here for my Pakistan food crave.

This place is fantastic. Don't be fooled by the location or storefront. This is some of the best Indian food in the area. The prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. I wouldn't go here for a sit-down meal, it is hard to beat for takeout Indian food. Try it once and you won't be disappointed.

Excellent Pakistani food. The chicken Karhai is absolutely delicious and the butter chicken is so delicious and smooth. The naan are so nice and fluffy.

A very good and local Indian cuisine restaurant in the heart of El Sobrante. On the several occasions I've been there the food has been consistently good. The curries, the naan bread, and rice are excellent. The set up is reminiscent of the old Naan and Curry in San Francisco and Berkeley where you walk in and place your order at the counter, help your self to the plates and utensils and go to a vacant table of your choosing as your food is being prepared. Also as the best part , free Chai is provided that you serve yourself as well. The local Indian community in the area frequents this establishment, so you know the food here legitimate and good.

If I could eat Indian food every day, I would. If I lived near this place, I would buy in bulk and eat it three times a day. It is THAT good. The people are friendly and you immediately feel at home when you walk in. Prices are really great, and the garlic naan... I cannot even describe how good it is and it is the size of a pizza. If you want ambiance, this might not be the place but if you want superb eats, this is the place!

Vegan N Chicken is a great restaurant to try if you're looking for delicious and affordable Indian food. Although there is limited indoor seating, the restaurant offers great takeout options. I ordered the chicken tikka masala and was impressed with the large serving size and delicious flavor. The chicken was perfectly cooked and the seasoning was just right. The naan bread was also amazing with its great texture and huge size. It was perfect for dipping into the soup. They also have a self-service sauce station, as well as tea and soup. I appreciated the value for the price of the food, which was very affordable. Overall, I recommend Vegan N Chicken to anyone who loves Indian food or is looking to try something new. The food is flavorful and satisfying, and the portions are generous.

I have eaten the amazing flavors of Vegan N' Chicken several times and anticipate eating from them in the feature. The food is delicious and the service is prompt. The owner is very kind and friendly. I have never eaten in the establishment. The ambience is lacking and needs to be updated. I would like to see pictures that depict their culture and people who look the owner on the restaurant walls. I am not sure what the kites on the wall represent. Vegan N' Chicken needs a face lift inside and out. Overall the food is great!The food is five stars, while the decor is a half star.
