Nice study area with mediocre food. It's convenient to grab a quick bite or coffee before heading to office hours or class. It's a pricier than expected as well.I need to try more drinks and items on the menu to give them a full review.

Burger was rlly mid, buns seemed like your average hot dog buns, was soggy with the yogurt sauce by the time I got them. Meat was really salty. Their tiramisu is basically the cup tiramisu you buy at Costco but more expensive at $6.50

Nice little spot for coffee or lunch, basically on the UC Berkeley campus. Friendly service, good prices, fresh food. Easy place to hang out, but it's pretty small so can get crowded. But a perfect spot to meet.

Updating my super old review. 3.5/5 but I'll round up to 4 for the review!Been here many times over the years now because of its convenient location right next to many Northside buildings. I mostly just get the smoothies, and at this point have tried most of their smoothies and they are solid and fresh. The only one I've disliked is the Berry Blast one; for some reason that one was really really sugary and I was unable to finish it. Matcha lattes here are pretty standard, nothing amazing but you'll get what you asked for. Food can be pretty hit or miss. I tried the Turkey sandwich and while the ACME bread was great, the sandwich was pretty bland and small for the price. Breakfast burrito--not stellar but I was hungry and it was what I needed.

I got the lavender latte and this is probably the worst latte I've ever had, if you can even call this a latte. It was already a bad sign when they served it to me and you could still see a thick layer of syrup on the bottom, but I figured maybe it just needed a stir. Even after vigorously stirring, you could still see MORE syrup on the bottom, as seen in the picture I attached to this review. So every sip was just a mouthful of very very sweet lavender syrup with maybe a side of milk. I really wish we had better and more convenient places on campus, but honestly just go to Mind Coffee. This place is bad and overpriced for what you're getting.

I had the worst latte of my life here :,( I ordered an iced almond milk latte and they accidentally made it hot. They kindly offered to remake my drink but unfortunately this meant putting a few ice cubes into the hot coffee so that it came out warm and watery. Although the coffee tasted bad and did not really have flavor, I might come here again since it is a convenient location and they have reasonable prices.

Has anyone experienced possible discriminatory and highly questionable pricing and/or up-charging at either of these campus cafe?Last year I went to V&A Cafe (in Etcheverry Hall) ordered a sandwich and was charged an additional fee. This was done by the owner who was at the register. There was no explanation and no signage explaining an additional fee. This past week I go into the other cafe in Stanley Hall. Order a sandwich to go for which I expected to also get a small side salad that comes with it. However, I was told that there will be an additional fee. There was no explanation and no signage explaining an additional fee.If anyone else has experienced this, then please reply. Thank you!

V&A is a nice cafe on Northside. During the summer, it's one of my go to cafes, but during the school year I tend to avoid it due to it being too crowded and hectic. In the summer, you don't have to fight for seats and I like that the food is priced pretty reasonably (not just for Northside but in Berkeley in general). I also like the cafe's decor, lighting and airy atmosphere. Though it's a campus cafe, its ambiance is better than other campus cafes and is a great spot for both chilling with a friend or getting to know a date. As for the drinks and food, they make great coffee and smoothies and they have pretty affordable meals. I have ordered regular coffee, mochas, lattes and their milkshake and have enjoyed them all. Though their coffee drinks are great and priced reasonably, I avoid their canned and bottled drinks because I think it's over priced. I also tried their smoothies (Mango, Berry Blast and Green Goddess) and the Green Goddess is probably my favorite (hits the spot on hot summer days). They use a blender right in front of you, so you can literally see them put fresh fruits to make the smoothies and they taste really fresh. For food, I have tried their pasta, gyro, burger and Caesar salad, but the gyro has to be my favorite. The staff is a hit or miss, some are nice and friendly while others are rude and/or weird. This cafe also doesn't take meal points, so if you need to use meal points V&A is NOT an option. Over all still a great campus cafe.

Just tried the Cherry Atomic and it was quite literally the worst coffee I have ever tasted; I threw it out after two sips even after stirring. They seriously need to remove it from the menu. The sandwiches are also not good-- too stale and chewy and unreasonably priced. Only reason they get 3 stars instead of 1 is because there are a couple of good things on the menu, namely the- Cafe Viennese- Cafe Cubano- SmoothiesI also like the location. It has nice ambiance and the location is very conveniently located in the center of EECS. The service is always nice.
