Our entire family loves Uncle Chung's restaurant, which has operated in Pinole for decades. The food is delicious and this a great place for dinner, bday parties and banquets! Always excellent service too.

Service and food have definitely changed since the pandemic. What used to be my favorite lunch spot for Princess prawns or chicken turned into a definite NO THANK YOU!! placed and order for pickup and literally spit it out. Called the restaurant to let them know the food was horrible and she told me she wasn't going to argue with me.... I wasn't arguing- simply letting her know that 1) do better 2) breading on the prawns was raw. Will not be back

*** Vegetarian Review ***Uncle Chungs is in my top two Chinese restaurants. Why you ask? They offer vegetarian meats, the service is super friendly, and as a bonus, they have a full view of the city and bay. Vegetarian Chicken Salad (Grade A+) - the dressing is delicious and the breaded fried "chicken" pieces are amazing. Crunchy and not oily. Everything sits on a bed of fried rice noodles and shredded lettuce. Tip - if you order out, ask for the sauce on the side. Vegetarian Princess Chicken (Grade A+) - another must order and always consistent. I've been ordering this dish for at least 20 years and it only gets better. Lightly breaded fake chicken nuggets in a lightly sweet and lightly spicy sauce. Tip - get the sauce on the side if you order this to go. Vegetarian Lemon Chicken (Grade A+) - Lightly breaded vegetarian chicken patty, cut in slices over a bed of lettuce and lemon sauce. Tip - Sauce on the side ... you get it. Overall, whenever I'm in the area, we will go here. Everyone is so friendly here, the view (especially at night) is eye catching, and their vegetarian menu is one of a kind.

The food is always so yummy! Great customer service. They also have a good banquet menus. I have used this place for a baby shower reception and it was a hit! I had shrimp chow fun and lemon chicken in my last order. Both were so good!

Uncle Chung's has been a spot my fam frequents for decades. The owners are always nice when we dine there. We just recently (literally last night) ordered the Hong Kong style chow mein with crispy noodles was SO good. We also ordered the Peking spare ribs, mushu chicken, and shrimp fried rice. It really hit the spot.
