If you're a fan of crispy fried chicken with bold flavors, Ttobongee Chicken in Pleasanton should be on your radar! I recently tried their soy garlic wings, and it was an absolute delight. We went for the soy garlic flavor, and it did not disappoint. The wings were coated in a savory, slightly sweet, and garlicky sauce that perfectly complemented the crispy batter. Speaking of crispy--we went for the extra crispy option, and it was exactly what we were hoping for! The chicken had an amazing crunch that stayed intact even with the sauce. The staff was friendly and the service was quick, even though we showed up during peak hours. The atmosphere was relaxed, and it felt like a perfect spot for a casual meal with friends or family.I can't wait to come back and try more flavors--they've definitely earned my repeat business. Highly recommend for anyone in the area craving delicious, crispy chicken!

Staff friendly. There's a public seating area right in front outside that is shared with other establishments. The inside is small but there are a few tables in there as well.Ordered the half half and it was delicious. The chicken was nice and crunchy and had good flavor. They brought the food outside to us and it's served fresh and hot! The jap chae was good. It had chicken in it. The chicken was a bit dry but everything else was great.

I've been a loyal customer for three years, and I can confidently say they're the best Korean fried chicken spot in the East Bay. Every flavor is consistently delicious, especially when paired with their house made pickles. Lately, I've noticed the large size drumsticks have a slightly gamey taste, and I hope the owner can look into it to make them even better.

Wow, as good as people have rated it!The half order of wings was delicious! It reminded me of my favorite Asian fried chicken, with the star anise flavor - good crunch too. The onion rings were perfect - no onion sliding out from the batter. The cole slaw was surprisingly good. Not overly creamy, yeah! I'm not sure why I never thought cole slaw went with Korean fried chicken, but it worked. The fried tofu kimbap was very good, very fresh tasting. The soy mayo sauce with it was very good.

Ordered the green onion fried chicken and the soy garlic fried chicken at 8:30pm and chicken was out by 8:45pm. The ladies working there were super cute and friendly. It was my first time ordering from here and it might be my favorite Korean fried chicken place now! The green onion fried chicken was SO YUMMY. The green onion flavor was perfect and worked so well with the chicken. Soy garlic was also solid. I was raving about this place all night and can't wait to come back!

Located next to Alameda Fairgrounds in Pleasanton, this place marks the spot for Korean fried chicken! Service was friendly and it seemed like a family-owned business. They were nice when asked for extra utensils/napkins. The inside offers a few tables (small space) and have tables outside as well. Food was incredible. Appetizers Sodduk sodduk - Rice cake and sausage covered in yang nyum sauce. Chewy and nicely cooked.Fried Mando - Super crispy and had decent pork/veg filling inside. Yummy with soy sauce! Entree#3 Half & Half. (Original and Yang Nyum) - Juicy, tender, the crispiness was to perfection. Yang Nyum sauce is sweetish and a hint of spicy. They were not shy with the glaze. Both were fried beautifully. I was extremely satisfied.

This has to be one of my all time favorite Korean fried chicken places in the East Bay. The store is located in a somewhat small plaza near Alameda County Fairgrounds. I think this is mostly a take out place because it's a bit small and doesn't have many tables, but I highly recommend dining in and trying the piping hot fried chicken fresh out of the fryer. They provide you half gloves(?) that cover 3/5 fingers so get ready to get messy because those gloves won't do much. The chicken is seasoned to perfection, addictively crispy on the outside, and so very tender inside. I've almost tried all the flavors/sauces they have on their menu. My top two have to be the green onion and maip dak. Be careful though because maip dak is spicy; and if you like spicy, this will not disappoint.

Highlights:& Juicy and delicious fried chicken & (sorry no pics)& Will definitely be backFood:Boneless fried chicken was very crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside. Portions were good, too!Ambiance:Are outside where there was plenty of bench seating.Parking:There's a lot that surrounds the complex. Free parking. It may not be an "front" spot, but most spots are about the same distance from the door, even if it's to the side.

Easy takeout. Was craving good kimbap, and the few places I had had it recently just didn't make the cut (sorry others raved on HMART and TJs). Since I was on the area I yelped it and saw Ttobongee wasn't too far from me. If pictures didn't lie, I was in for a treat! Quickly called in to ask a few qualifying questions then quickly placed my order for one of each kimbap roll. Took them home to share with the family.Bugolgi kimbap: full of main ingredients. Tasty seasonings. Bold flavors. Loved the finish of sesame oil. Could have done without the vinegar, even tho light.Fishcake kimbap: more subtle flavors. Still very good. Each roll about $11.Love that this is a chain and can fill a craving in Pleasanton, Tracy, Santa Clara, even Hayward! Next time I will try their fried chicken. Heard it's the bomb!
