I came across this Vietnamese spot while checking out the plaza, which has a great variety of food options. I had heard a lot of good things about this place, and it definitely lived up to the hype. It was super busy, and there was a bit of a line, but I only had to wait about 30 to 45 minutes.I ordered Bun Bo Hue and absolutely loved the soup. I'm not usually a fan of pork blood, but I decided to give it a try here, and it didn't have that strong, iron taste I was expecting. My friends and I also shared Banh Khot, which was really tasty. It's like smaller versions of Vietnamese crêpes, and it was a great addition to our meal.I really liked the interior decor. It truly captured the essence of the restaurant, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that added to the overall experience.

Milpitas has quite a treasure trove of restaurants, I had hoped that this spot would satisfy my cravings for some good Vietnamese food. I had ordered a variety of stuff to try and for the most part everything was tasty. Service wasn't the greatest, the staff wasn't very welcoming. I still ended up waiting extra long to pick up my food because they forgot to make one of my orders; despite me calling in my order (based on the reviews). Parking can be a challenge as the spots are (1) super tight and (2) limited number of spots.

I saw Truong Thanh on TikTok, and instantly added it to our "must try" list. The restaurant is located in a busy mall with numerous other restaurants in Milpitas. If you come on a weekend, parking might be a little more difficult but not impossible. Stepping into the restaurant, it's quite small. There's a lot of decorations around to look at and admire. We were seated instantly. The 2 dishes we wanted to try were the fried egg rolls and the banh khot. Both are on the appetizer list. For our entres, I went with the banh canh cua (crab udon), and my fiancee went with the egg noodle with large Thai shrimp. The food came in less than 10 minutes, we were starving. The fried egg rolls and banh khot were really good. The egg rolls were crispy, combine that with some fresh lettuce and fish sauce, perfect. Same goes for the banh khot, wrap in lettuce, delicious. My fiancee really enjoyed her egg noodle dish. The shrimp were pretty big, and the sauce over the noodles was very flavorful. My banh canh cua was good. The broth came out hot, but not as piping hot as I would like. I thought the broth was a little bland, but with a mixture of hoisin, sriracha and chili oil over the udon, it was great. There were quite a few large pieces of crab meat, and you get a good amount of pork as well. The bowl overall was pretty good. Overall, we enjoyed our food, and the leftover egg rolls and banh khot were amazing the next day. Service was good. We will definitely be back to try other things on the menu.

During Saturday lunch hour, there was about a 30-minute wait for a table for three. This spot is quite small but undeniably charming, with authentic decorations that pay homage to Vietnam.Service was quick yet very kind, with two servers checking on us multiple times throughout our meal. For appetizers, we shared the Banh Khot, which was absolutely delicious; perfectly crispy, fragrant, and paired beautifully with the fresh lettuce served on the side. For my main dish, I ordered the Bun Rieu, which I found just okay. Typically, the broth has a balance of sweetness from the tomato and a rich seafood flavor, but I felt that was missing. Instead, it leaned too heavily on the tomato for my taste.

They have the best banh khot and cha gio! Thank you TikTok! Haven't eaten there in person, but my husband gets me take out from here all the time! Both are still as yummy the next day when I pop it in the air fryer for a few minutes.

Perfect #banhcanh soup spot for this cold weather. With #eggrolls and #banhkhot to top it off. A hidden gem located on the bottom floor of this Asian plaza. Their dishes are authentically crafted to the Vietnamese taste buds. Although there are lots of exceptional food spots in the South Bay, this one is usually at the top of my list whenever I am in the area. Prices have gone up since my last visit but taste and service is still good. *Don't forget to follow my IG for more foodie stops to try. @Only1Christinelu

Walked in right when it was opened and was seated quickly. Was given a menu and started ordering. We ordered A5 (banh khot), #2 (banh canh Ga), #25 (Banh xoo), & #32 (bun/banh hoi tom thit nuong)This place is very pretty. It's decorated with portraits and paintings. One of the corner by the window is cover in bamboo and makes you feel like you're in Vietnam. lolThe food came out hot and fresh. It was very flavorful. The only gripe I would have is that the chicken soup is a bit salty but everything was really refreshing. First time trying something like this and it didn't disappoint.

I'm only giving this place two stars because frankly, the food was good, but literally the worst service we've ever had! We got seated and we actually made reservations three days prior, but there is no reason to get our waters 30 minutes after being seated! And we only got water because we asked for it literally four times. We also found it odd that their placemats were literally white paper.... and then we ordered several appetizers, but they all came out after we got our main meal. Our main meals also came in increments of 5 to 10 minutes and so by the time, one of our friends finished their food, the other one was barely getting their food. My dish came last and it was literally just noodle soup. So bottom line, food is good, but be prepared to wait a long time for your food to arrive. Definitely not a place to go to if you're in a rush.

Came here at 8:59 p.m. for a late night dinner after Great America and there were one party ahead of us on the wait list. We were told it would be about 10 minutes since a party was checking out soon. 15 mins later, we were told it would be another 10 mins wait for a table of 4 for us. I had read ahead that service can be slow and seeing how long it took to get seated when we saw two parties leave ahead and the tables were not cleaned right away, I hope the restaurant can be more efficient with the table clean up and set up to seat customers more quickly. We waited outside the restaurant and luckily there's sitting areas outside. We ordered the banh canh cua (Vietnamese crab udon), banh khot, and a mi vit tiem. The mi vit tiem was ok, doesn't have that full duck flavor as I like. The banh canh cua was tasty and the banh khot was good. We would come back here again for the banh canh cua and hope customer service will be faster next time.

This place blew up for a bit on my feed and I saw a couple videos on it. I came to Yelp to get an opinion but it was so contradictory to the videos that I had to come see for myself. The place was decorated nicely and the music was calming. However it was just that. The moment we walked in, there were only two-three tables seated but there were dirty dishes everywhere. I had assumed they just had a rush so they didn't have time to clean but I got there around 4pm in the afternoon and it stayed that way the entire duration I was there. Their service was incredibly slow. We didn't get our waters until 20mins after asking for it. Food came out around 10 mins after that but the vermicelli came first. 5-10 mins later, the banh khot came out and then my banh canh followed. My friend literally just sat there as his food got cold while waiting for mine to come out.The food wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. We had the banh khot, bun thit nuong, and banh canh cua. The banh khot was great, nice coconuty flavor, crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. The banh canh was lacking in that seafood/crab flavor I was looking for, tbh it tasted a bit bland. I liked the noodles tho, had a good chew and bounce to them. We ordered a side of the Chinese donuts to dip into the soup and it was light and fluffy with a crispy exterior. The thit nuong was good too, nice smoky flavor that left the noodles smoky. However we wish there was more meat to it.Overall the food was not bad but I don't think it was worth the wait and unhealthy atmosphere.
