The worst thing a tea shop could do is serve a tea-based drink that is watered down, thus resulting in a super light tea flavor. This is always one of my concerns when trying out a new place, but thankfully Truewin doesn't skimp on the tea. We requested 0% sugar for the da hong tea and iron goddess, and the tea was nice and strong. You can order either at the 2 kiosks or with the cashier. When we went, they were giving out lucky scratchers with each item purchased. While we didn't win free drinks for a year, we did manage to score $3 off the next order. A friend recommended the lychee oolong tea with tea jelly, so I decided to get that. With the $3 discount, this order came to $2.95 (a steal!). For this one, we decided to go with 25% sugar and it was way too sweet. After the ice melted, it helped to dilute the drink and I thought it was much more palatable afterwards. I might stick to 0% sugar in the future because at least I know what to expect.

I saw this place on social media awhile ago and stopped by today since I happened to be in the area. I ordered a da hong bao milk tea with boba and iron goddess milk tea with boba. I'd seen on social media that the drinks came with little teapots but had no idea if my drinks would include the teapot so I was glad that the drinks I got did came with the teapots. Other reviews mention that the teapots come either with specific drinks or during special promotions. The da hong bao milk tea was really good because it wasn't too sweet at 75% and the tea taste was pretty strong. The boba was soft and chewy. I would want to come back to try the other items on the menu if I was in the area again.

This place absolutely lives up to the hype. I've been seeing viral videos about them on Instagram for months and didn't realize how dangerously close I was located to them. It's probably best for my blood sugar that I did not try this place sooner. My husband and I first stopped by after work on a random weekday. It was not too busy when we first arrived but a bunch of people started to pull up afterwards, probably with the same idea. We both ordered milk teas, as well as the popcorn chicken and fried calamari. I got the da hong pao milk tea with boba (25% sweet and less ice) and it was so, so good. The quality of the tea here is top tier! My husband also really liked his tea. Popcorn chicken was a bit standard and a little salty this time. They offer different flavors including classic, plum and Szechuan. It seems like then went a little heavy on the seasoning powder but I would still order this again if I was craving it. The fried calamari was perfection and was a very pleasant surprise. The calamari was very lightly breaded but still crispy. I highly recommend it!I've been back here many times since and have tried their other drinks including the lychee oolong, iron goddess MT, and jasmine MT. All the drinks are so good. I don't think you can go wrong with any of them here since they use such high quality tea!

Ordered the soufflés deal where you get 4 for a more cost effective price than ordering them separately. The only caveat is that you have to choose from a specific list of flavors. I didn't mind because each flavor was what I wanted to try anyway. They were all really good and tasty. The drinks are super cute because it comes with a cute little souvenir on top filled with dry ice. It made for very pretty photos and a cute thing to keep.

Even though the souffles were served cold, but I was told they were freshly made on a daily basis. I enjoyed my strawberry souffle, wasn't super sweet, just light and fluffy. For $10, the price is a little steep. The fruit tea was refreshing. :)

SPOTTED!!: Soufflé Pancakes in the Bay Area And what's even better, @truewinteausa also has boba drinks to go along with it! Come enjoy a refreshing drink while also having some delicious fluffy Japanese soufflé pancake sandwiches. It was the perfect amount of sweetness and they do not skimp on the cream! Space was also very open and clean. Staff was also very kind and parking wasn't bad!

I've been eyeing this new boba shop since it landed on IG. I've missed the soufflé pancakes from Gram Cafe and the ones from Hanabusa seemed too eggy for me. Truewin takes it out of the park-- soufflé pancakes were so fluffy and soft without any overly eggy taste! My favorite was the chocolate cream filling sprinkled with crushed Oreos. I also tried the matcha cream with pistachios, which was sweeter. Only downside is price ~$9-10 each. Steep but I would get the chocolate one again. They currently have a promotion of 2 for $16 and 4 for $30 until 12/31!I've been here twice and both times I greatly enjoyed the drinks I ordered. First visit was the lychee oolong fruit tea with tea jelly. Soo refreshing and I was able to get no sweet. Last time I got the iron goddess milk tea no sweet with both golden boba and qq noodle. While the latter was a bit overcooked, I loved the golden boba! Texture was spot on chewy/bouncy and it reminded me of Sunright's honey boba. This brand took over Ume and before that it was T4. Seating is still on the left side but they have fewer seats than before, about 5 low round tables and 3 chairs each. Comfy though. Order at the kiosk and they'll text when the order's ready. They have snacks like popcorn chicken, takoyaki, calamari, and sweet potato fries.

Waited 30+ minutes for 2 drinks and saw multiple orders that were placed AFTER us get called first because of their lack of organization. Also saw the barista tie her hair while wearing the gloves she was using to make drinks and then go straight back to mixing drinks. At one point, I saw her use the same gloves to move ice into a drink and while I'm not overly sensitive to food hygiene, it still gives me another reason to not come back which is a shame because I actually liked the flavor and texture of their boba! For those that do want to give it a try, the cream grape green tea was actually quite refreshing and enjoyable but skip the triple matcha. It says it's ceremonial grade but it doesn't taste anything like it.

I've had this boba shop bookmarked since their soft opening and finally had a chance to try it. I was in the process of ordering online for in-store pick up and a $1 convenience fee automatically applied to the total. To avoid the fee, I decided to forgo the online order and placed an order inside the boba shop. Given how many people have posted about this location on social, there were only two other customers inside and it was kind of surprising to me! Food / Drinks Da Hong Pao - less ice, 75% sweetness, golden boba Soufflé gift set - 1 matcha, 1 classic Based on other Yelp reviews, I ordered the Da Hong Pao with less ice, 75% sweetness, and golden boba. The sweetness level made the drink more creamy, but it saturated the tea flavor. The golden boba had a nice chewy texture. I would skip this drink and try the Iron Goddess next time.I was super excited to try the Japanese soufflés pancakes and ordered the gift set with 2 - classic and matcha. Both of the cream flavors in the pancakes were lackluster and a bit too overcooked. It was a huge disappointment because of how social made it seem like this was a must try and fell a bit too flat for me. Customer Service Upon entering the shop, I was greeted by an employee. There were 2 self-service kiosks to place orders and a huge menu signs above it. The employee who prepared my order, called my order number for pick-up and gave me a reusable tote bag to carry my drink. Ambiance Bright white lights lit up the boba shop. There were several tables and chairs, a game vending machine, and large tokidoki-looking vinyl doll. Parking / Location It is located across from Chase bank and next door to Tasty Pot. The parking lot was quite small, but luckily there was a spot right in front.
