We came here on Valentine's Day and the food tasted so amazing!Everything that we ordered:Panang curry: really rich and sweet and creamy! It tasted similar to Tom yum but we creamy goodness. The chef was very generous with their portions as well! For me this was the star of the showThe panang curry doesn't come with rice so we had to order it on the sideThai tea: this was soooo good! Usually I try to make it at home but it doesn't taste as similar I loved it so much. It was sweet yet bitter! Also a bonus, not too sweet! The pad kee mao! I enjoyed this immensely! I don't usually order this but I was shocked by the smoky flavors. The way it was cooked gave it the wok hei flavor, which was so delicious!!!Lastly, the pad Thai wasn't that bad, it's usually my go to item, but the noodles were a bit overcooked. However, the presentation was nice. What helped was we asked for more lime to bring out the sour taste! :-) Additionally, everything was generously portioned that we had left overs for breakfast the next day! I will definitely be coming back again!

I Doordashed this order, so I will only be talking about the food. Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo.I had the veggie and tofu Pad Kee Mao with mild spicyness, and Thai Iced Tea. As can be inferred from above, they are friendly to vegan and vegetarian options. The noodles were great, with a generous amount of toppings to the point that there were probably more veggies and tofu than noodles. The Thai Iced Tea was, well, Thai Iced Tea, and good. While normally it's on the pricier side, there was a BOGO free deal for both items on Doordash, which encouraged me to try it. They offer either paper or plastic packaging for the environmentally conscious. Overall, with the deal the price was very reasonable, especially for this economy.ADDING FEEDBACK ON MORE DISHES AS I GO ALONG:Pad See Ew: Also great, classic Pad See Ew of a good portion size.

I really wanted to like this place after hearing so many rave reviews. This place was a miss for me, the curry felt too watered down, the flavors were not there in the dishes we tried. Maybe I came on an off day but there's other better places for Thai in the area.

So I've been coming here since I was a child with my family. This is one of those places you always come back to because the food is alwaya great! They have changed ownership since then and I do see some slight differences... I will still come back due to nostalgia but not the best experience nor the worst. So we were a party of 6 that came in during lunch time and there was hardly anyone in the restaurant yet service was so slow. Ran out of water multiple times and our alcoholic drinks came way later by the time we were almost finished with lunch. Food is good, but portions have gotten smaller, prices have gone up, and the dishes came out very far apart from one another so it was hard to enjoy the meal. Ambiance is much better they lightened it up used to be super dark but since then it has significantly improved. Still try it out its an Alameda staple but don't go in with expectations.

This restaurant has been here for years! We even lived in Alameda for some years & still never went, till last week. lol (As of Oct 2024)It's conveniently on Park Street where it's very busy. Passed by it many times. Big portions of food. Yummy. It's just kinda slow when asking for something like a fork or something, and this is when it wasn't busy. That's my only negative feedback. Anyway, now, I know this is a good Thai restaurant, finally after all these years not going. Haha It's holding up well.

The food was served timely and fresh. This was a return visit and I was satisfied with this visit. The service is friendly and seems like they take a lot of takeout orders. The ambiance is casual. Would recommend giving this Thai place a try and will return.

Absolutely fantastic! Toomie's Thai in Alameda never disappoints. The food is always hot, plentiful, and authentically delicious. Providing enough for two or even three meals. My recent pickup was perfectly timed (GrubHub)--hot and ready when I arrived. If you're looking for consistently amazing Thai cuisine, Toomie's is the place to go! Five stars without a doubt.

We've seen our server before and he is super attentive. I asked his name this time but I forget. He is pretty young looking. The atmosphere is clean, authentic, and immerses visitors into the Thai culture. Seating is spaced out and bathroom is placed in the far back hallway.Food is excellent here as we discovered via Yelp & have been back a few times since. We decided to stray from our atypical chicken/shrimp combo pad Thai and my tofu pad see ew. We tasted: Mango Curry with ShrimpCurry was a bit thinner than we're used to; similar to liquid milk. We checked in with server but he said it is normal. It was super flavorful with an authentic kick. Simply the aroma alone of the dish will have you hooked! Fresh chunks of mango inside plus, perfectly poached shrimp deveined and de-tailed. Pad Phrik Khing Signature Dish with Shrimp, mildExcellent flavor fusion with Malaysian and Thai spices. Again, bold aroma accented all the senses to enjoy my meal. Requested mild but still pretty spicy. Still doable for my acid reflux and worth it regardless. Sauce was more on the gravy side than liquidy, which is what I prefer so I was happy with its consistency. Shrimp was perfectly poached, and string beans were nicely braised. Would order again! Thai Tea, light iceTo quench our thirst, you can't go wrong with a Thai Tea drink to top off that lovely Thai meal.We were offered brown, white, or sticky rice to order as an additional charge to our meal. We opted for 2 bowls of white rice and it paired perfectly. Rice was cooked well with a nice texture to the chew; not wet mushy or too dry crunchy.
