Craving fried chicken and this hit the spot. Went when students were on vacation, so it was pretty empty. Ordered at the kiosk terminal, no human interaction, but that's ok. Ordered the original style 6 piece family meal, that came with two sides (chose slaw and corn) and 2 biscuits. Waited. Granted, it's not quick, but the chicken is good. I got takeout, so didn't eat it until I drove home. The 6 piece comes with 3 giant drumsticks and 3 normal size thighs. The skin was crispy and tasty, the meat was not dry. The slaw was good. The corn was good. The biscuits were soft and tasty. Overall, no complaints and will visit again.

My kids and I tried this today for the first time. The food took pretty long to come out, we didn't expect that weight considering it wasn't really any customers in the store. I ordered the original fried chicken. The skin was crispy, but it wasn't evenly cooked. The first drumstick was undercooked and extremely pink on the inside the other two pieces, however, were cooked perfectly. The skin was crispy and flavorful, and the meat was really juicy. The french fries were nice and fresh and crispy definitely not soggy so that was a plus. My buttermilk biscuit on the other hand the bottom half was hard and crunchy, so it was definitely overcooked. My children enjoyed the chicken sandwiches. They said they were juicy and not dry and really flavorful. The cheese curds were a good snack and inside. Everybody liked them. Overall, it's a place I would eat again if I was in the area, but definitely will not be a go to place for fried chicken or chicken sandwiches. The restaurant was clean and laid out neatly, I like the signage, and I will say the staff was really friendly and attentive.

I saw that this place was opening for soft opening and was curious to give it a try!The interior is spacious and clean. There were two kiosks for ordering, but you can also order with the cashier. The pager will ring and you pick up the food at the counter. Bus after yourself when done. I got the deluxe chicken sandwich ($8ish) and a side of biscuits ($2.98). My friend got the wing combo with mashed potatoes, coleslaw, and a biscuit. The combo comes with a drink choice, which includes canned Kung Fu Tea options. We also got a side order of sweet potato fries. The chicken sandwich was very filling. The chicken was extremely juicy. Nicely seasoned with (white?) pepper. Biscuits had a hint of butter. It wasn't too dry, but I do wish they had honey or butter to slather on. I'd recommend to eat the biscuit immediately while it's warm. I ate half of it toward the end of the meal and it didn't hit the same as when it immediately came out. The sweet potato fries were my favorite. I would come back just to get the sweet potato fries. They aren't the stereotypical sweet potato fries from a fast food place, but tasted more starchy - chopped into thicker pieces and light fried. Mashed potatoes are a miss according to my friend. The gravy tasted weird to him and he didn't finish it.

A new business in Berkeley! I've been waiting so long for this place to finally open, and now they finally are (currently in Soft Opening with a limited menu). I'm not super familiar with the Taiwanese chain, but they serve fried chicken with your typical sides (biscuits, mashed potatoes, fries, corn, cole slaw, etc.)They have 2 kiosks you can self-order from. A cost for a combo is around $15 after tax, but includes a soft drink/Kung Fu Tea canned drink, classic side, and mini cole slaw. They also have bigger family meals to share.I opted for their spicy 6 pc wings with a canned Thai tea and paid a dollar extra for fried cheese curds as the side and a few cents for ranch. The inside is pretty simple with a good amount of 2-seat (7) and 4-seat (7) tables. The chicken was nicely seasoned with a moderate crunch and the blend seemed more unique/different than your usual chains. Spicy wasn't too spicy to me but there is a slight heat. Though there are some more bigger brand fried chicken chains in town, it's nice to have more variety and I think they're worth trying out for something different. Excited to come back and maybe I'll even stop by for just a drink

This is one of the most famous fried chicken fast food chains from Taiwan, and it brings back so many childhood memories! I was excited to see a new location open in Berkeley and finally got the chance to try it. Their spicy chicken is spicier than Jollibee's, incredibly crispy, and packed with flavor, though on the heavier side. However, the chicken itself is very tender and juicy. I'm hoping they'll expand their menu, and I think they'll do well in a college town. I gave them four stars because their prices are a bit high, but I understand that's typical for the Bay Area.

The chicken is pretty average. I personally think it's better than KFC but much worse than Popeyes. The main reason for the low rating is that all of the sides are horrible, except for the cheese curds when they're freshly made. Fries are stale, mash potatoes are disgusting, chicken isn't fried fresh to order and because they barely get customers it's more than likely the chicken been sitting there for a long time. What really sent me over the edge is that an already $13-$15 combo no longer comes with a drink, as I was told by the owner being a new policy with the new year. There's so many places on telegraph and Durant that are much better bang for your buck than this place. The chicken is okay but nothing that I'm willing to go back to get again.

I was excited about this place since I am crazy about Asian food, and this is a Taiwanese fried chicken fast food chain.First meal was okay. The I got the crispy chicken sandwich, which was comparable (though much more expensive) than a Chick Fil A Sandwich. The cheese curds were... not good. The second meal was better. I got the 3pc spicy chicken nugget set, with corn, coslaw, and a biscuit. The chicken was pretty good. It was crispy, huge, the spicy sauce was amazing, and it went great with the honey mustard and bbq sauce. The biscuit was similarly amazing, coming with honey and jelly. It was buttery and flakey and a great addition to the meal. The coslaw was meh. The corn was disgusting--it was floating in a black liquid. It tasted like canned corn that had been put too long. The meal was ruined by the homeless man that came up to me, screaming incoherently, and started digging through the trash and putting trash on the table to eat. The one guy working there didn't seem to give a shit. That, along with the corn, easily made me lose my appetite and I walked away

My husband and I shared a 3-piece combo and a chicken sandwich, and everything was fantastic. The chicken was perfectly cooked--juicy and tender. The chicken sandwich was also delicious. I added the slaw to it, which was a great touch. The sweet potato fries were lightly fried and flavorful. The staff was friendly, and the restaurant, including the restroom, was spotlessly clean. We'll definitely be back!
