Time-out!

If you down fo fried seafood southern style, this is the place for carryout. Good portions, good price. They use good cooking oil I had a combo, catfish,shrimp, chicken wings, oysters with fries. All good. I would say the weakest link were the chicken wings, but still all good. It is in the hood, so maybe go with someone riding shotgun who can stay in the car :)

The food is good and the service is friendly . Don't be scared to come inside they have great food ! Fresh and plentiful ! Definitely recommended for families who love an affordable and delicious meal!

This spot is FIRE! I got the 3 pc fried catfish with a side of fries. Just over 12 bucks. Huge portion of food and it was good as it gets. The breading was light and the fish was seasoned absolutely perfect. The owner is friendly and your order comes up hot and fresh every time. Definitely a legit hole in the wall spot that I will return to.

I really wasn't expecting to find my favorite fish and chips spot tucked away in the back of a neighborhood market but that's exactly what happened. I was referred by a coworker to the green market down the street with steak fries and fish that where "hecka good" I decided it was worth a try. The brother manning the shop was quick to pick up the phone when I called to make sure they where open as it was 9:30 AM and he took my order over the phone. Great attitude and friendly service he told me it would be ready in 10 mins. Got down there in 7 mins and the guy was super friendly hooked me up with a free banana and told me to grab a drink on the house. I was t shocked when I saw how much food i had gotten he handed me what felt like 4lbs of food in a to go box. I felt reassured about the cleanliness after observing the stainless steel appliances state of the art cooking equipment and preparation area. His setup was Fantastic and the service and taste was on point! Give time out a try if your in Oakland.

Good food, reasonable price good customer service and you could grab a drink after you buy your food. Recommend you check it out.

I must have passed by this shop 1 million times before I finally went in to find the deliciousness stashed in the back. For the last two weeks, I have been trying different dishes at a spot called Time Out!TIme Out has dishes that represent multiple countries, but the standout, thus far, hands-down, is the Soul Food! The first time I ordered food here, I requested a 4x4x4x4= 4 fish, 4 shrimp, 4 chicken, 4 oysters. I wasn't really in the mood for oysters, so I requested that the chef substitute them for more fish or chicken.This combo was $29.99.Before you get turned off by the price, there are MUCH more affordable options and I really just wanted to try a bunch of items at once!What this chef ultimately presented was a platter of food large enough to serve 6 people- NO EXAGGERATION!!The food was Delicious!! Every bit of it! It came with a bed of French fries, enough wheat bread to line the platte, and a secret sauce that I gobbled up ferociously! There's no other way to say it; I was HOOKED!Since that first meal (lasted me 5 days) I have tried Red snapper, Neck-bone with Saffron Rice & Collard Greens, Sautéed Steak & Veggies (today), and mixed Fried Chicken (pure deliciousness).I have not tried any of the Mexican dishes or the multiple sandwiches offered- but I will...Time Out is close to BART & the Oakland Post Office, and is located inside of a convenience store , just in case you need to purchase side snacks, drinks, ice cream, etc.Have you been! Have you heard of it? Place it on your "To Do" list for a future meal or treat.Plan on taking it to go- there is no seating for this little gem, so plan on enjoying it at home or a nearby park!

They charged me a dollar for a "manual card fee." I know places will charge a fee if what you buy is under a certain amount. But damn near 16-17 dollars for a 5 piece should get me a free "card swipe." I was disgusted. I won't be back.

This is the best place ever The food get you very full and I would recommend you to come here their hamburger is good and a quesadilla and everything else is good i'll give this a 10 out of 10

I love this little place inside the seventh street store across from the post office in west Oakland !!!!! Better than the other leading seafood places and close to home!!! The fish and prawns is off the hook !!!
