Every since Theo opened up in San Leandro, I've been a loyal patron definitely my favorite cheesesteak shop. They have some nontraditional combos, you can get cheese, whiz, and the bread is authentic as it gets. The service is good. The price is right and the cheesesteaks are loaded with gooey cheese and perfectly cooked meat.There's a lot of special sandwiches and sandwiches. I definitely recommend the spider bite. It's definitely my go to everything is good here. I've had so many different items from the menu and I will say that you cannot go wrong. They use authentic bread from Amoroso's. Definitely a place to try out if you're in San Leandro

Fresh, hot, delicious! Small shop, limited dine in (2 tables inside) and a really tasty sandwich. We kept it simple, Philly Cheesesteak. Some might like a few more onions but it was the perfect amount for me as I'm mostly a meat and cheese guy. Sure I like veggies but cooked veggies aren't my fave...I digress...we will definitely hit this one again. The large was enough to take care of me and M. We walked in, ordered pdq, and waited about 10 minutes. We'll be back 100%

Who doesn't love a cheesesteak joint? This is one of em. Hidden gem at San Leandro by the police station. Big cheesy, meaty, cheesesteak hoagies. Heavy amounts of cheesy fries!Service is hmm , sometimes good, sometimes rude, depending on who's at the front. Area is clean. Place is great. Just go and try them, see for yourselves.

The other reviews were correct: this is a SALTY cheesesteak. Salty can be subjective and I usually don't mind salty food, but for me, this was almost inedible. If they relaxed the salt, this would be pretty solid.

Came on a Sunday afternoon (2:30 pm). Service was slow, waited 40 minutes for a garlic cheesesteak and curly fries. Originally wanted to eat there in their limited dining space, but my friends and I were on a time crunch so unfortunately was not able to enjoy it fresh.The cook was definitely working hard and apologized several times for the wait despite it being a simple order. By the time I got mine, my friends had already scarfed down their sandwich. There was a new trainee that seemed clueless and seemed lost.Despite the bad experience, the food was decent - on the slightly saltier side and mildly hot despite it being eaten an hour later. I also got a side of ranch for my fries that was an upcharge of 50 cents which tasted a bit sour and not right.

It was one of those lazy days when you just don't feel like getting out the house and wanted to be extra chunky by doordashing some greasy food. So onto Yelp I go, and low and behold, Theo's popped up for cheesesteak. Pictures and reviews made it an easy decision. And then when we found that we could doordash, it was meant to be...or so we thought. The order is listed in the picture posted. Seriously how did this place get 4 stars. These pictures previously posted must be from some other place because the sandwiches we ordered were not fresh. We ordered through Doordash and I have a feeling they skimped us on everything since we did not dine in and Doordash probably gets a part of their profits. But don't punish the customer just because we didn't feel like dining in.I ordered extra cheese on all sandwiches and one came dry bare-bone without any cheese whatsoever. I also ordered garlic fries and it did not come with garlic. I was hoping for a grease filled bun with savory juicy meat and melt cheese. Instead, I got a dry *ss sandwich that tasted like it had been cooked the day prior and then warmed up in the oven to be delivered to some hungover Doordashers. How do businesses want to stay in business when they continuously want to jip their customers for an extra buck or two. Should've just risked my life driving to Oakland for Mills Hoagie This is what this business did - "Hey these customers ordered their food via doordash and won't see the condition of their food at the restaurant so let's jip them and make their food as bad as possible because they're not physically here to complain anyway." *round of applause to the shit business you run.

Great late night spot. The sandwiches are the kind of yummy greasy sandwiches you want to eat with a beer. And I use "greasy" as a compliment in this context. Great prices too. I'm not a big fan of the other things outside of the sandwiches.

The weight was a long time. I pre-ordered my meal and it still took 40 minutes to be repaired. Also it had great taste, but it made me feel sick for the next day so probably will never visit again but maybe they had a bad day not much place to sit inside there maybe two tables Definitely it to go place.

Came here looking for a delicious cheesesteak, saw the photos and looked promising. Ordered their #1 cheesesteak only for it to have no cheese it came COMPLETELY dry, when I tell you I would rather have made a dry sandwhich at home and it would've tasted better. Called in order to get a refund manager picked up the phone said to come back with the food, yeah right like I'm going to drive 40 minutes back to get a refund guy was super rude and even laughed at me for requesting a refund.

So I order a pepper "cheese steak." Why is the word cheese in there ? because there was not one molecule of cheese in it! WTF? I know people are trying to save a buck but this is messed up! I do not like being ripped off! It's just this soggy mess. On a hot dog bun! Come on Theo, get your act together dude. Maybe go to Philly and learn how they make them. Not Oakland style. Good Lord. I wouldn't feed my dog this slop. And way overpriced!
