The Waterfront Seafood Grill

10/10 all the way from food, service, and ambiance. Late post from month of October.Went on a mid weekday for birthday lunch. Arrived by 12:30 place wasn't busy but wasn't empty. Was seated quickly. Service was pleasant and workers are attentive for sure! Which I appreciate. We opt to sit outside since it was warm out but cool enough during the earlier times to enjoy lunch outside with a somewhat water front view. It was quiet and enjoyable. From appetizers to main dishes, food was immaculate! Seasoned and cooked to perfection. Nothing overpowering when it came to the seafood and flavors. Not salty or overly buttered. Just a perfect balance. The steamed muscles are a must! I actually ordered that as my dish to eat and it totally was fulfilling. Best steamed muscles I've had to date from any other seafood restaurants I've been to.

Was in Napa, and wanted seafood. This restaurant is located in downtown Napa. Small cozy restaurant. We made reservations ahead of time, so didn't have any problem getting seated. Service was good.The food was good, nothing spectacular. The steak was tender and flavorful. The salmon was a moist and tasty. The mixed grilled platter was my favorite. Everything on that plate was delicious. Good sized seafood, and plenty to share.

Came here for dinner with our friends. It was our first time. We had reservations, but came early since we were already in the area. They seated us outside. It was a little cold outside, but they turned the heaters on. The heaters definitely made it comfortable to sit outside.We started with the shrimp and calamari fritti and crab cakes. The fritti was delicious. The calamari was very tender. Nice pieces of onions and shrimp in the mix. There were also fried olives. Not a piece left - it was devoured.The crab cake order came with 2 pieces. They were small in portion, but delicious. The remoulade sauce was a perfect pairing.As a side, we ordered a cup of clam chowder. It was a small cup of chowder. My husband took a spoonful and I finished it off. It was so good. Had good balance of bacon, potatoes, clam and did I mention bacon!!! My husband wanted more, but saw it disappeared, oops.I ordered the filet mignon and my husband ordered the scallops. Our friends ordered the filet mignon with shrimp and lobster ravioli.My filet mignon was perfectly cooked. I requested medium. It was well seasoned and melted in my mouth. The mashed potatoes and vegetables were delicious.I tried my husband's scallop, half of one. It was perfectly cooked and seasoned. It was so good that he devoured it and I didn't get a chance to get another bite!We ordered dessert, Tracy's Mocha cake. This is the reason why I couldn't give 5 stars. We waited at least 15 minutes before asking the server about dessert. She said that the pastry chef left and the head chef had to put it together. When we got it, the cake was dry. It was almost as if the cake was not fresh. We had to send it back, we took small bites and it was just not good.Otherwise, the service was great and the appetizers and main entrees were delicious.

Nice restaurant location. Interior nicely decorated rich wood and linen lighting...on grey and brown color palate. Service from Alexis & Roy...was attentive. I felt they didn't end as strongly as started, but still good service. Where things fell was the actual food......Ordered :dungeness crab cocktail A++Cerviche.(fish,avacado & mango])..C ( no flavor... the chips served were actually good )Seafood Spaghetti CSeafood Ciopino CAt the end of the day... I'd probably rate this restaurant a low 4.. maybe 3.7. BUT... two different ppl and both didn't like main entrees. When discussed both complained about the quality of the fish. For a waterfront seafood restaurant... this is a huge miss. Overall, pricing wasn't bad at $200 adding 1 drink. Competition in the area is steep (many other choices... I'd pass on this one.

Not worth the wait. We were running 10 minutes late, and phoned ahead. Still our party of 6 waited 40 minutes, and the were seated at the bar. Management provided Prosecco and an appetizer. An hour past the reservation, we were offered a table. This is a very loud, tight, waterfront restaurant. The bits of lobster in the bisque were chewy. In general, the seafood flavor was off, including the "three White Mexican Prawns" (standard size shrimp) , tail-on, in the spaghetti. The Chilean Sea Bass was so rubbery, it was sent back. There is a full bar.

The salmon was cooked to perfection. The scallops were very fishy and overcooked but the mashed potato's, mushroom and greens it came with were very good. Minus 1 start for the $60 scallop entree not being great at all seafood grill.

The service and ambiance was really nice. The sea base was really good and was really appreciated by my very picky grandfather. My dad got the linguine and he loved it. It came recommended from the waiter. I got the enchiladas after seeing all the reviews online but I think I was a little underwhelmed. It has a little kick to. My sister got the filet mignon- well. The first stake was was overcooked but was quickly fixed by the kind staff and the second piece was very good and juicy.

We were extremely impressed with our meal at the waterfront Grill here in Napa. First off, they gave us a complementary Asian shrimp appetizer that just knocked our socks off. It was so good spicy and yummy. We collectively had so many delicious entrées : the Bronzino was cooked to perfection, I had the chili and Sea Bass with fresh al dente fettuccine and asparagus so good, We enjoyed the scallops, again perfectly prepared and so much delicious flavor. This was a Thursday night pretty early however, the restaurant was packed. I highly recommend you make a reservation. I couldn't tell if it was dog friendly on the inside of the restaurant however they have a rather large patio the river. The music was great. The service was phenomenal.I don't usually drink Grappa, but tonight I enjoyed with my brother-in-law, the Grappa infused with chamomile... perfect ending to a wonderful day

Came here with my wife for lunch during our day trip to Napa to celebrate our 2yr anniversary. Placed a reservation through Open Table, and was seated promptly when we arrived. They have plenty of seating for both indoor and outdoor dining. And since it was a beautiful day with no wind, we opted to dine outdoors.Robert was our server, and he was incredibly kind and personable. Not only was he a pleasure to interact with, he made sure to check in on us throughout our meal to make sure everything was ok. For our meal, we went for a seafood taco and a wagyu burger. Both were delicious, and the beef patty for my burger came out perfectly cooked at medium rare. The fish of the day was mahi-mahi, and the seafood taco dish came with two tacos.On the Open Table reservation, one of the questions asked was what the occasion was. I checked anniversary, but I've never had any restaurants acknowledge the special occasion I would check off. Surprisingly without any prompting, Robert asked us if we were celebrating our anniversary, congratulated us, and then proceeded to bring out a complimentary scoop of gelato at the end of our meal. What a thoughtful and nice gesture that we definitely appreciated.As its namesake implies, Waterfront Seafood Grill is right next to the Napa River. Although the river is murky and not much to look at, it is still an enjoyable setting and a great location to dine outdoors when the weather is nice.

Phenomenal service, friendly staff, delicious food with tantalizing aromas. This was the best experience we could have possibly have after the awful treatment we endured at Zuzu. Everything here was fantastic! Dishes we got and I highly suggest you get: Spaghetti (my fave!), linguine with clams, cioppino, lobster roll, clam chowder, Cesar salad, bread with butter and several bottles of wine. All so good! Definitely coming back here!
