The Purple Orchid Wine Country Event Venue

Having our wedding at Purple Orchid was the best choice we could have possibly made! Not only is the venue absolutely gorgeous but the staff was so kind and helpful, they really went above and beyond make our wedding day amazing. Our day of coordinator Danielle was so great to work with, she not only helped us plan for our special day but she was so helpful the day of and rolled with the last minute changes to make sure everything ran smoothly. The day before the wedding my bridal party and I rented out the bridal suite to get ready and the Purple Orchid staff was up bright and early to help us with anything we needed and even brought us Champaign :)One thing we really loved about the venue itself is that we were able to rent all the rooms out for the night of our wedding and have a mimosa brunch the next day with all of our close family and friends. This made the celebration that much better and gave us the opportunity to recap our wedding night :) (Also the beds were beyond comfortable). Having your wedding anywhere else would be crazy! If we could do it all over again we would 100% stick with Purple Orchid Inn!

Fantastic grounds, all the amenities you could need for a wedding, and friendly staff. I did not need to worry about ANYTHING the day of my wedding - Agie (day-of coordinator) had it all completely taken care of. We chose to book the venue for the weekend because it was a great price for what was offered. I would highly recommend booking your wedding or event at the Purple Orchid. As an added bonus they also have a pool, hot tub, and spa on-site!!

Awesome venue! My cousin got married here over the weekend and it was a beautiful outdoor wedding. There is a main house where the guests were able to hang out for cocktail hour and they also have a pool area for lounging. The bathrooms here were super nice and clean.The outdoor reception area is also super nice especially at night time with all the hanging lights. It's perfect for an outdoor summer wedding!

My husband Steve Green and I had our wedding at the Purple Orchid on 6/22/2018. Danelle and the staff/owners were amazing and made our wedding unforgettable! They were there for us through the entire process from answering all of our questions to setting up all the decorations in the scorching heat ( poor things). They made us feel very welcome and just did such an amazing job with everything. Valley Catering killed it with the food and many many people complemented all of the food that Joe and his team made. Thank you so much to you all for making our big day so special and taking care of us, our family and our friends. I Highly recommend The Purple Orchid as a wedding venue.

My wife and I got married here this past July and we had a great experience with the staff and the venue. They went above and beyond to assure that we and our guests had a great time.

My husband and I got married at the Purple Orchid Inn this past September. It has been a long year planning and I have some mixed feelings about the whole thing.First and foremost, it was our wedding day, so obviously the most important day in our lives so far, and a very special one indeed. For this reason, it is often hard to remember the things that did not go so well, but in the interest of others who are making this big decision to choose a venue, I feel it is only fair to share the whole truth.Starting with the good stuff: Luis Nungaray was the glue that held everything together. From the first day we visited the Purple Orchid, Luis met us there and gave us a tour of the facilities. He was very helpful and showed us his friendly nature. He would do anything for his customers - including working a double shift, 12 hours+ without any breaks. We saw him do this plenty of times when we came to visit over the course of the year. And for our wedding, he was there to set up, execute and take down. And under all the stress of making things run smoothly, he stayed "cool as a cucumber".Another person I have to praise is Carolyn, who I believe no longer works at the Purple Orchid, but who came back for our wedding to help coordinate due to the short staff. She is one of the sweetest people and truly cares about your wedding. Kaushik, the property's owner, made our experience less than perfect. He was all business - focused on getting our deposit on time and making sure we signed his contracts - but was very poorly organized and did a terrible job keeping his staff. Every time we went to visit we would find out another wedding coordinator had quit or was fired. This was very frustrating as we had to constantly start over with the next person who was hired. Even, Theresa, the General Manager for the property, had to step in and help us out with wedding coordination due to another coordinator getting fired. In addition, when we were choosing between venues, we made it very clear to Kaushik that we had a finite budget. He agreed to our total amount and we signed with him under good faith. But, then on July 4th (~60 days prior), he sent an updated invoice with an additional $800+ added to the bottom line. When I called to discuss, he said he had "forgotten" to add taxes to our original agreed upon amount. We felt cheated as he knew exactly the max amount we could afford and figured out a way to get more money from us. We felt this was very poor professionalism and no one else that we worked with tried to pull anything like it. And, this affected us even more since we had heard from other people that they had similar experiences dealing with Kaushik (but we had hoped it would not be the case for us).All in all, the wedding was beautiful, the vendors pulled off an amazing feat (see my other posts), and the guests are still raving about how great it was. We built a strong friendship with Luis, Carolyn, Theresa, Suzanne (front desk) and recommend the venue for the beauty of the property, especially at sunset. Our only recommendation is to bring a lawyer when you sign your contracts!

We fell in love with this venue as soon as we stepped foot onto the property and they were so helpful at bringing our vision to life! We loved that our family and friends could stay on the property and that we could have the place for the whole weekend. This spot is such a hidden gem and was awesome also having a spa on site! I got two facials there and were the best ones I have ever gotten. The owners are the most adorable couple, had a very relaxed demeanor and made us feel relaxed throughout the planning and whole wedding weekend. Thank you PO for making this special time in our lives so spectacular!!!

My husband and I got married here in September. Purple orchid is an absolute dream wedding venue!! The property is stunning and the event coordinating staff are amazing. They handled absolutely everything and made it the most stress free day of our lives. We made a last minute change to move the reception inside due to weather. The way they were able to set up the indoor space on such little notice was incredible... it turned out breathtaking! We also loved having the option of renting out the hotel for our guests. As Livermore residents this made it feel like a destination wedding right in our own backyard. We can't thank them enough and would highly recommend this venue and team for anyone planning a wedding!! I have also used the Purple Orchid spa services on several occasions and have never been disappointed! You can enjoy the hot tub and pool before or after your visit and really make a day out of it.

This place is amazing. The staff and the owners provides the most welcoming and accommodating experience I have seen in a very long time. Quite frankly, I have had five and six star resorts it if not treated me and my guess this well. I highly recommend them and would love to host an event there again in the future! Your team was absolutely incredible and I would be honored to have the opportunity to work with them again!I'm going to recommend this hidden gem it to everyone I know.
