Love for Monkey House, where I recently saw brilliant magician, Heather Rogers. Though it's underground (don't look for signage, just go to the address) the staff is funny, friendly and helpful. The space would be great for comedy, story telling, magic, or any small performance. HEY! That's exactly what they do here! You can get on the mailing list and find other low cost, high value entertainment here. Go already!

Great music venue. Great line up of music, literary, comedy, musical science and more. A great way to support the local arts and the people on the front line that invest so much into promoting and living in the world of creativity. Seek this place out. See a show. Make a donation and get a cushy pillow to sit on during the show. You'll feel good for the support you gave and for the support the seat cushion gave you.

If you're looking to present - or enjoy - an intimate live performance, you won't find a more accommodating venue, or one with better sound. There is an "itness" about The Monkey House - the moment you enter, you know you're in a special place - a place that can merge a performer with an audience just by virtue of its vibe.If you're a performer, you'll feel like the space was designed to bring out your best.

I rented the Monkey House and music equipment for a private party of about 40 guests. It was super-easy, and Ira made it all come together seamlessly. He set up the stage for several musicians and ran the sound and lighting throughout the performance. The space is charming and very clean. Seating is excellent. The musical equipment on offer is first-rate. Everyone had a wonderful time! I will do it again soon!

I'm a frequent concert goer doing 100 to 200 shows a year. A lot of people associate music with household names like Bruce Springsteen or Taylor Swift, so I often have to explain to them that I go to very few arena or stadium concerts. Instead, I attend a lot of club gigs, some of them featuring local musicians. They might be virtually unknown to the general public and not properly tagged by the music industry, but these facts do not prevent them from delivering great shows! I've seen a lot of such concerts at the Monkey House. It's a small intimate venue with a state-of-the-art sound system. It gives you great vibes, and a specific feeling of being part of the local music community. Their calendar has blues shows, singer/songwriter gigs, open mics, standup and storytelling nights, there is always something for everyone! I recently booked this place for my private birthday party, the process was extremely smooth, Ira was very kind and professional, and the celebration turned out to be delightful. I'm absolutely recommending the Monkey House, go see local music acts there or book your own party!

The entertainment here is fine. However, while I can't attend anymore, and have asked to be removed from the mailing list, the emails keep coming. The emails all have a space where you can "unsubscribe," but that isn't a link to anything. Another "link" claims to be for emailing comments. That doesn't work, either. Apparently, once you are on the Monkey House mailing list, you are on it for life.If you like the entertainment, keep going. If you need to get off the mailing list, expect to be ignored.
