Drinks can be a hit or a miss but the bartenders are kind and will help fix that. If you want a small intimate bar that has good music but not a club scene then this is it.

Stopped by after dinner to continue celebrating my boyfriend's birthday. Amazing place and the DJ was off the hook. He definitely knows how to read the crowd. Drinks were amazing. Overall ambience has a sexy and cool vibe. We will definitely be back.

(DRINKS) Drinks are relatively affordable at $12 a cocktail and $7 for a beer. I grabbed an IPA at 8% and sipped some of my friend's drink. Not bad at all. (SERVICE)The bartender that night was quite nice and welcoming. He had long hair and we had small chit chat.(PLACE)Saw this place open on a random Sunday night and decided to check it out. It has a laid back vibe with music that's not too loud so you can still talk to each other without having to yell. (VERDICT)Now that I'm older I actually quite enjoy these type of bars where you just sorta lounge around. Not too loud, not too tame, just right.

We were snooping around for a place to go to welcome in *2023* and came across the Miranda. A hidden gem in Oakland, The Miranda received us with bold CA golden poppy wallpaper and hip style. $12 cocktails all night and NO cover for NYE? AMAZE. The bartenders kept it coming and made the drinks solid and delicious. There was a two-ish part kind of style to this bar, where the receiving area was quieter but the back (where we ended up) had the DJ (note: this was NYE, so I imagine this DJ isn't always there), and more seating including lounge chairs that were reserved. We found ourselves at a non-reserved side high-top table. While I wished there were some purse hooks underneath the high-top table to accommodate the women (aka me), I just held my bag and jacket. (I'm sure that would be an easy installment for The Miranda to consider later!)Anyway, the vibe was easy, and the crowd was fun for NYE. Honestly, it felt at home to be surrounded by such a racially diverse crowd, and The Miranda really is a good set up where everyone can interact. I think they know what's up. Would return!

So my friends and I had never been here but we decided to come in when the place we wanted to go to was actually closed. Daniel the bartender was very personable! He makes really amazing drinks! All I can say is be prepared for a strong drink! Daniel does not skip on the liquor when he POURS IT UP! POURS IT UP! ( Rhianna voice) he measures everything out but my goodness my drink felt like it put hair on my chest! I ordered the Rhymes like Dimes. It was delicious though. The place is super cute. Nice dim lighting with super cute little velvet chairs everywhere. They also have couches and cute little egg shaped chairs your can chill in. It's very intimate for a bar setting but I would say it's a must check out spot! I will definitely be going back with my Husband so he too can give it a try!

Great date night spot. Cozy ambience, friendly service, good drinks. I love the love seats in back.

Delicious craft cocktails in a chill lounge environment. A great spot for an after-work drink! Lovely staff that's committed to quality, too--we watched them toss a cocktail after tasting it and finding it not meeting their satisfaction. Great to see!

I had just gotten off a flight from Portland and decided to stop and get a drink after getting off at BART. The security person asked to search my bag (it's carry on sized--so not that big) and of course I let him, but I thought it was really strange. This has never happened to me before.... ever. I would also like to note the time of day which was around 5-6 and the bar was pretty much empty. The bartender (I believe his name is Grande) was also weird with me. Not a chill spot at all. Perhaps I got clocked as homeless? I'm really not sure. Anyway, the spot is overrated but there are limited options in downtown Oakland for sure.
