The Homestead

My partner and I love a good a cocktail. We have enjoyed many from other local bars, but nothing beats a CLASSIC WELL-DONE COCKTAIL! The Homestead always delivers, the bartenders know how to make a classic balanced drink. My go-to is a last word and it is always executed to perfection! The bar itself is beautifully decorated with many original pieces, as this bar is from 1905. The vibe can vary, but it's always a good time. It's our favorite spot to end the night.

They allow dogs as of December 2024! Very happy to see that they went back to the old way :)

Living in the mission I always pass by this place and was always curious. Finally stopped by and I loved the intimate yet also relaxed vibes. Good lighting and a beautiful bar are the highlights of this spot. Not too big of a bar but a perfect spot to go grab a round with friends or a drink before dinner. They also have a private room that seemed like you could rent out for events. I only had one drink a whiskey sour of sorts and it was great.

From Sacramento, found this absolute gem in the wall! Immediate good vibes... love the old historical feeling of the building. My bartender, Bella, was absolutely a doll!! Loved her sweetness and she made mine and my family's life better today!

This place has such a cool vibe. There's lots of pretty naked women paintings on the wall which I would NEVER complain about. I believe it is an ode to the brothel that used to run upstairs but I'm just guessing. There's a really amazing history to the place including murder! An old owner came back and robbed and murdered the new owner. So crazy. The bar tender was really nice and he was very Michael Vera vibes. They have peanuts which is so fun. They were out when I went but they normally have them. If you're looking for a fun haunted bar with a rich and long history this is a great place to go.

Cheddar and Jeremiah here - we can't say enough good things about The Homestead. With a genuine community vibe that's both fun and down-to-earth, this place feels like a neighborhood hangout where everyone knows your name. Bella, the bartender, keeps the drinks flowing with precision and warmth, making every visit feel like a mini-reunion. Whether you're in the mood for relaxed conversation or a lively night out, The Homestead nails it without any fuss.

I rate this bar an 11/10. More specifically, I give the bartender named Bella an 11/10. Me and my friends were there on a Saturday night and had the honor of being serviced by Bella. She not only makes sure our drinks are filled 24/7, but also has the most fun attitude and ensures you are having a fun time. Having this experience on a saturday night with Bella at the homestead makes me never want to go to any other bar ever again. My favorite bar/bartenders always and forever. WE LOVE YOU HOMESTEAD!!! I love a historic bar so this is definitely one of my favorites, and the bartender Bella made the experience even more enjoyable. She treated my group of girlfriends just like friends of her own and we loved it! We will definitely be back :)

Stumbled into The Homestead last night and had the best time! Bella was behind the bar and was so welcoming and made the best drinks for my friends and I. Great, laid back atmosphere here too. We'll definitely be back!
