The Event Center At Wente Vineyards

Attended a wedding here and it was beautiful. From the ceremony to the reception, it was like a fairy tale wedding. Mainly a review on food.There was about an hour between the wedding and the reception. They had a hor d'oeurvre seafood platter containing scallops, shrimp, mussels, clams, and seared tuna. The food tasted very fresh. There was also a drinks bar with wine and non-alcoholic options. Appetizer: Seared scallop was delicious and well cooked. Sat on a small bed of purple potatoes with a lemony sauce. Salad: Wente Vineyards Cabernet Poached Pears w/ Chicories, shaved goat cheese, spicy walnuts, and mustard vinaigrette. This was phenomenal. The poached pears were soft, sweet, infused with the cabernet, and paired well with the crunch of the walnuts and the goat cheese. Entree: Black Pepper Filet of Beef w/brown butter mashed potatoes, seasonal root veggies, and sauce au poivre. This was pretty tasty. The filet was tender, but most of the ones at our table was medium to well done. This does happen especially when you're cooking for the masses. Mashed potatoes were flavorful and smooth. Veggies could have been cooked more with more flavor. Service: Excellent service. Waiters brought us all knives when we needed them very quickly as well.

My friend got married here exactly a month ago and I am still raving to everyone about how great their wedding was! The food was especially delicious! I loved that they did family style, the appetizers were amazing, and for dessert the cake and hot chocolate bar with HOMEMADE MARSHMALLOWS AND WHIP CREAM were so GOOD. (I'm not a big dessert person so that says a lot about that!) They also had a late night snack taco bar! It was heaven! The venue was gorgeous and has so many options for the ceremony/reception. It was a beautiful winter wedding so everything was held indoors! I am close to the bride and groom so arrived at the venue early..the day of wedding planner was so NICE! She packed the bride and groom to-go bags!

I really don't understand allowing the front rows to stand and dance which blocks all the tables view. I was at a sponsors table at Boz Scaggs and it was very annoying to not be able to see. This has been happening at every concert and it makes it hard to enjoy. Last time at Pat Benatar a very young couple were twerking up a storm and turning around smiling at us while they were doing it. I kid you not. We didn't even stay for most of the performance because we couldn't see at all...only the twerking couple. You used to announce that the rows need to stay seated. I think this needs to be reinstated. It's such a lovely venue but if we can't see the performers then what's the point?

The Jamaica Tourist Board (where I work) recently hosted dinner for some of our top travel agents at Wente and I cannot stop talking our experience!! Thanks to Nadine and her amazing team for a wonderful evening. I was met on arrival at the facility with open arms (literally). Even if I tried, I would not have been able to find anything to complain about...everything was perfect. Did I mention the food? Oh my goodness, the food was scrumptious and the wines...excellent!! Oh YES, we will definitely consider Wente for future events. I live in Southern California and will personally be returning for a visit soon.

I just got married last month at Wente and I could not have been happier. We had our ceremony out by the Golf Course and the golden hills served as a perfect photo backdrop - in fact, some of the people at work saw the photos and asked me if we had taken pictures with a faux background! Wente bussed all of our guests over to the reception site because they recently had a landslide that covered their parking lot. They gave everyone champagne, and loaded them on a luxury bus. This is just one example of their impeccable service standards.Nina was my day of coordinator and was AMAZING! She was just as OCD as I am and every detail that we discussed was present on my wedding day. She was their for every issue and kept the entire night running smoothly. I worked with Heather for the entire year + in planning and she was equally fantastic. The Wente staff is worth every penny.The food is the most amazing wedding food you will ever have. We sprung a little extra for our guests and offered beef and their signature pork. Our guests could not get over how delicious everything was. The salad course alone (we had spinach salad with egg, bacon, and honey mustard dressing) was the best salad I have ever had. We had eaten at the restaurant numerous times and it was always 5 stars, and were not disappointed on our wedding day. The wedding cake was the topper. It was so delicious. We opted for the devils food cake with dark chocolate raspberry filling. I could have eaten at least 3 pieces. I can't wait until our first anniversary to devour the cake topper in my freezer. Thank you to the pastry chef who made our beautiful cake design concept come to life. It exceeded my expectations.We also added a dessert bar. Again, beyond my expectations - in the sheer quantity of what was offered and every item on the table was delicious. Bottom line - if you can't afford a napa wedding (or even if you can) this is THE vineyard to have your wedding. They offer everything and do not disappoint. This was my dream wedding. THANK YOU WENTE!!

If you're planning a wedding, or a corporate Christmas party, I highly recommend this place. They are affordable, their food is first rate, and their service is excellent.I had my wedding ceremony and reception here, and it was gorgeous! Plus, Georgine, the lovely woman who helped me to plan everything out, was supportive and available. She took my worries away as they would pop up. Even to the extent of helping us to find a cool place for the flowers because my mom insisted on having her friend do the arrangements, but said friend had never done weddings in the summer before.... argh. ANYWAY! Georgine simply found some space in one of their refrigerators for us to put the centerpieces so they wouldn't get all wilty before they could be set up.Seriously, I would not have enjoyed my wedding experience as much if I didn't have the wonderful help and support of the Wente staff.Also, they made my cake as part of the price, and it was delicious and GORGEOUS!! They made it special to what I had in my head, too... it was just a fabulous experience.I highly recommend them!

We attended a wedding here in late October. As I mentioned in my review of the tasting room, Wente is a great event space. We arrived early and walked from the parking lot to the tasting room. They were doing construction in their parking lot but had a convenient shuttle helping to transport people who wanted a ride. They were also available at the end of the evening. Prior to the ceremony, we were able to grab a glass of wine at the tasting room to enjoy. The ceremony was outside and I'm glad that the weather behaved and allowed for us to enjoy the cool evening with a beautiful backdrop. The only downside was that although there was a Wente staff person at the road located behind the wedding guests, a few trucks still drove through and made it difficult to hear everything. Very distracting. After the ceremony we moved into a room for drinks and appetizers. The room is in the same building as the tasting room. It was spacious with a nice old world winery ambiance. They had both buffet and passed appetizers. The staff were attentive and gracious and there seemed to be plenty of food to go around. Dinner and dancing were in a large tent just outside the tasting room and next to the ceremony location. I'm not always a fan of event tents but this one was really nice and I kind of forgot about it once we were inside. I was very pleased with our plated dinner - the risotto was quite delicious, as was the starter salad. The staff were, again, very attentive with drinks and food. Just something to be aware of, it is a bit of a walk from the ceremony/reception area to the bathrooms near the tasting room. Overall, I really enjoyed attending an event here and loved taking photos both inside and out.

I just got married here last month and it was the most beautiful day of my life! My friends and family were all able to gather at this gorgeous spot and marvel at the rolling golden hills and rustic green vineyards. From the first day we met Tricia, we felt extremely cared for. We got free wine tastings (which we still need to redeem), an absolutely delicious menu and cake tasting, and all our questions answered in a timely manner. The chef worked with us on all our menu requests (including my picky vegetable palette) and created a fantastic meal that guests were RAVING about. Wedding food is generally bad and so the organic and fresh ingredients put into Wente's food is a refreshingly pleasant change. The halibut and pork chop are phenomenal! Oh, and the chocolate mocha cake - TO DIE FOR! We were a little skeptical about renting a tent at first but are so happy we did. It created a warm, romantic ambiance and was the perfect way to highlight the dance floor. Tricia created a seating arrangement so that everybody could see the head table and everyone else, as well as the slideshow that was shown near the band.I could go on and on but I would just be repeating what all the other Yelpers have said. A fabulous place to get married with a caring staff, yummy food, and beautiful scenery - you can't go wrong with Wente!

My sorority sister had her wedding here (late June) and I thought it was really nice. It was different because her ceremony was at 10am and reception from 10:30am to 3pm but I had a really good time. The ceremony was on the lawn area and of course started a little late at 10:30am so by the time it was almost over.. although short it was getting hot!The area where they had the reception was nice because the tables were spread out but close to the dance floor. We got to taste Wente Vinyards wine- chardonnay and riesling. The riesling wasn't as sweet as they usually are so that was great. The parking was kind of odd on gravel. For a nice winery I wish they would pave the parking area so it wasn't so janky and dusty. If you are thinking of having a wedding in Livermore then this should be on the top of the list. Its definitely nice.

The UC Davis Graduate School of Management booked this event space for our bay area graduate students and we absolutely love the location, venue, staff, and food! Working with Ann and Dominique for the event was amazing given that we had some hiccups due the changes in our attendees counts, weather changing our outdoor event to indoors, and the water lines temporarily being down during the event. Beside the minor issues our guest had an amazing time and I couldn't thank Dominique and Mike enough for their hospitality! The team notified us immediately with all the curveballs thrown the day of but I applaud them with their communication and professionalism! Some of the staff I had interacted with were very funny which made the evening more amusing! What an amazing partnership with the event center at Wente. I must say the guest had raving reviews of the food. I highly recommend booking your next event here. We already have previous years!
