Was meeting a colleague there. First thing that hit me was that there's NO AIR CONDITIONING! And on that particular day, it was too hot inside to stay there for food. My colleague had already ordered food before I arrived, so ate there. We eventually went somewhere else more comfortable. Unfortunately the bathrooms were also bare of the necessary essentials: TOILET PAPER AND HAND SOAP. So no go on the service which meant that the owners were not washing their hands!

The food was overpriced for the quality and the amount of food given. The food didn't seem like it was prepared fresh. There was one lady running the whole place. Cooking and front counter.

Okay idk what magical twist she puts on the lemonade but it's addicting. It's always out later in the day so had to come early to catch it. Eaten here three times and ordered for about 5 ppl each time. Prices are very good and food portions are perfect. They have both Japanese and Korean bento boxes. I was able to eat the wasabi and ginger in one go. Haha gluten for punishment but I felt the need to clean my plate. It's usually ran by one older lady who I see other reviewers have a hit or miss interaction with. Due to sometimes only being her it does take a good minute to get the food. So far my Interactions with her have been good. Also the purple rice is good.

This was a lovely place to have lunch. I stopped in based on the fact that they had bento boxes. I was expecting Japanese but it turned out to be Korean. I chose a beef bulgogi bento with kimchi, jap chae, and rice. Everything was very tasty. The rice was a yummy mixture of black jasmine rice and sushi rice and had a nice semi-sticky texture and looked like Cuban moros y cristianos in color. There was one older lady working and we had a nice conversation. I would absolutely go back if I were looking for a quick bite but I deducted a star because this place has very little atmosphere and served everything in to- go containers. It could just be a sign of the times, they also had blocked off half of the restaurant. I think they were encouraging folks to take the food to go.

Found this place while walking this area in search of something satisfying and easy on my budget. Mid-afternoon so service was fast, despite having one women doing all the jobs (taking orders, cooking, and cashiering--women rock!) She was really nice and welcoming too!. Had the teriyaki bento box with Cali rolls--yum! Love the purple rice--actually made rice less blsnd. Nice and clean restaurant with lots of seating. Weather was nice so decided to eat outside. Good prices, good food, and outdoor seating options on a busy street. I will be back!

The owner here is so sweet. Whenever we come in she's very welcoming and kind. I've been here twice now. Once on a Saturday at around 2 pm and then on a Saturday in the evening around 7 pm. Both times it was pretty empty, with a to-go order and a table here and there. The food has been pretty good as well. The first time I got the bento box with chicken Katsu and a California roll. The chicken Katsu was a bit dry and not very flavorful, so I didn't get it this next time. The next time I got the bento box with the spicy chicken and California roll. The spicy chicken was very spicy but also crunchy and tasty. The salad dressing is very flavorful and the miso soup comes out very hot and a great addition before the meal. My bf got the donburi curry and pork cutlet. The curry options only had pork. But he really liked the curry, even though it is pretty heavy. The menu is pretty versatile and when you come for dinner there is usually a small crowd so it's nice because you can talk in an intimate atmosphere. It's a nice place to grab some quick Japanese food for sure. The veggie tempura was very crunchy when it came out. So tasty!!

I have always walked by The Bento House but hadn't ever went to try it out until today. To my surprise, the food was actually really good! I sat by surprise because on the outside, the place is not physically appealing and there wasn't anyone inside eating. The lady who worked there was really nice and brought out my food in maybe less than 10 minutes. I ordered the beef teriyaki bento box with a California roll. Pretty basic but for a last minute lunch outing, it was pretty flavorful. My only complaint is the price. I paid almost $20 for a bento box. While the flavor and quality of the food was good, I wouldn't pay that same amount again.

The place was a disappointment. The chicken katsu was dried and tasteless. The Bi Bim Bop was not as good as from other restaurants. Don't waste your money.
