Great spot, once I couldn't afford Pine Sol and some pet cleanup spray at the same time so the guy at the front was kind enough to let me pay him back another day, since I'm a regular. Open REAL late, usually 1am sometimes, nice spot, good for the quick needed baking supplies, late night munchies, or if you just want a cheap drink and dessert to go with your food from next door. Some items are more pricey than the CVS down the road, but then again if you don't have a car and don't wanna walk, then this place and two dollars extra beats an additional 5 minutes walk to a CVS that might not even be open at the right times listed online, right :) And, small businesses are much nicer. I dig that they remember me when I come in, it's nice.Plus the guys working the front are nice and friendly, very chivalrous and maybe even flirty. (Especially the old man, maybe too flirty but lol sometimes i come in looking busted so i take it as a compliment usually.) Excluding Abdul, but he's got manners, usually. On another note, Abdul the young one used to piss me off in middle school, if you're reading this, I still don't like you, man. :) But everything else about the store is great, so I'm not gonna be petty and rate it lower.

I've visited this liquor store nearly every day for the past 12 years. Seriously. It's great that I can always find my favorite junky items - Hot Cheetos, Fanta, Ramen... Reese's, It's-Its. You know. But the best part is being able to snag giant bags of La Finca tortilla chips, Ak-Mak whole-wheat crackers, Ritter chocolate, quinoa, creamer, Larabars, organic beans, kombucha (if I dared drink it), Parmesan ... yes! And booze choices abound: fancy tall-boys, 6-packs, liquors, nips, and even some fine wines are available. Plus, swishers, papers, and tobacco. (I know what you're thinking, and you're almost right). My interactions with Mo (maybe the owner), have always been lovely. We chat and talk shit. But some of the other employees are bland - even rude - from time to time. It is not uncommon for them to simply look at you, hard, once they've rung you up. How much money am I supposed to give you? Who are you talking to? Me, or the Bluetooth? The area is sketch - duh - but just mind your own damn business. Which you should always do, by the way. No matter where or who you are. The store staff are great about protecting patrons, and have even helped me with street trouble a few times. Everything your hipster-ass needs for a good time.

This is a great liquor store to shop at if you are looking for a one stop shop for all your daily needs. They carry all the standard liquor store items like beer, wine, and booze, but they also have plenty of snacks, grocery, and toiletry items to get you by until you can visit a regular grocery store. Their prices are fairly high for most items, but at shops like this you are always paying for the convenience rather than the deals. Knowing that I will pay more by shopping here, I still choose to do so because they have one of the greatest selections in the area for bottled sodas and energy drinks. All in all, they are a decent shop to frequent, just be aware of your surroundings in the area, as crime tends to be heavy around here the closer the evening approaches.

I'm probably a little biased against convenience stores. They do serve a purpose, which is that they are convenient. And, they are stores. And, as far as convenience goes, this place is that. And, it is a place where staples are housed for sale, which is by definition a store. So, as far as stores that are convenient go, this place is pretty on point. For example, they have almond milk. Now, that's above convenient; that's just good management and providing alternatives for your community. Then, why the two stars? Because when I got to the counter, all the convenience dried up. For example, the dude behind the counter quoted me one price, but then charged me more. I don't know if my man couldn't count or if he was quoting me the family price, then gave me the street price. Either way, that's not convenient. And, they charge you extra for using a debit card, although they don't say that up front. Not convenient. But, he did give me the most durable cheap plastic bag I've ever gotten. So my heavy bottle of pear juice was safe. That was convenient.

I LOVE this place!!! I go to this place everyday for my cigarettes and coffee. This place has great Coffee. Service is great every time all the guys there are fun to chat with them. Owner name is MO he is so friendly and very nice. He will always smile to you when you come in. Also talk about sports or the weather. This store is stocked with everything you need. If they don't have what you want you ask him for it and he will bring it in next day or two. They know everyone in the Comunity and are so friendly with everyone. This store is my favorite.

...Conveniently carrying all of your late night needs in a tidy home, straight up Oakland style. After grabbing pizza next door, husband and I walk in here for a beer to share. A healthy row of Rogue ale. YES. The man at the counter and friends hanging out watching the basketball game on tv above, made this place have A+ liquor store cred to me. Not to mention he had a conversation with us about our beer selection. Paper bagged it and we were on our way.

Wide selection of several styles of both beer and Cider at fair prices. It looks very Oakland on the outside side and very Lafayette in the beer cooler.
