The matcha here is SO good and reasonably priced! I generally like my matcha strong, unsweetened, and with soy or oat milk, depending on availability. They don't charge for using alternative milks (they only charge for oat milk I think). And they have an option to add an extra shot of matcha to make your drink stronger for $1. Most other places charge $1 for using milk alternative so I'd rather pay the extra $1 here for a stronger matcha instead. I can't believe how good this place is. It's my new favorite matcha in the area!

cute place with lots of loose leaf teas for sale and pastries. staff was patient and helpful. just got the matcha latte and added strawberry puree. in total cost about 7.25 which is a bit pricey. in my opinion the matcha flavor is very mellow I did sip it before mixing the drink and the flavor is very one noted and gets lost in the milk. The strawberry purée was very good and did not taste artificial at all! you could tell it was made fresh, but there wasn't enough, once it was mixed its presence could only be recognized by the seeds that grazed your tongue. due to these factors as you continued to drink the latte tasted more and more like milk, which does not justify the price for me.

I come by here when I'm in the area usually when it's a warm day in the east bay. My go-to drinks are either the joco latte or hojicha latte. I got an iced hojicha latte, no boba, today and it was too milky and not sweet enough like the previous times. Seems like they got a couple new workers that I didn't see from previous visits. I wish they would maybe shake up the drink mixture in a shaker with ice so it's an evenly cold drink..? Because my first couple sips were room temp. This has happened a few times before--just my honest opinion. I noticed they have their tea mixtures premade in small batches so they make the drink pretty fast. For now, I'll only come by when I'm in the area and when I crave for a 'different' tea flavor than from my usual spots.

Cute upscale modern-looking boba place! Came by on a Tuesday afternoon while waiting for a family member's long Kaiser appointment. * Airy, bright, modern interior with nice seating options. It was fun browsing all the fancy merchandise / gifts / treats* friendly efficient staff* ordered a hot chai with boba and a iced strawberry jasmine tea with boba. I appreciated that the chai had an oat milk base (rather than paying extra for milk substitute) and it was nicely spiced. The assam tea was also good and strong, and it kept me awake as I had hoped! Boba had good texture. My husband enjoyed his strawberry tea, which had a generous amount of visible fruit pureeIt's a bit on the pricier end but I felt I got the quality I paid for. They do have a frequent customer program, as well as a reusable cup program. Will definitely be back in the future when I'm in the area and want boba!

Pleasant Coffee and Tea shop. Was exploring across downtown Oakland for a good matcha and coffee place with my friends, and we stumbled upon this space and decided to give this place a try. The shop layout is aesthetic in terms of having a little rack for different powders and teas, a few books in the front, and the seating across the shop. The employees were friendly when I was asking my questions about the menu and taking and expediting my order out.Overall- 7.5/10. The matcha was a bit bitter for my liking but it could be because of the straight matcha and strawberry puree. Not a knock on the drink though, it was still enjoyable. Check it out if you're looking for a drink in the area!

Tea on Piedmont is such a cute place to work or grab a quick drink. I've tried both the hojicha and matcha latte and they are very tasty! The drinks aren't watered down or too milky. The ratio has always been perfect and the flavors definitely come through. I love the knick knacks they sell too. I believe they're all mostly small businesses and I've bought several greeting cards here as well!

Tea on Piedmont opened where Starbucks was. Same infrastructure, new decor. Almost all tables occupied. Steady flow of patrons. Order at counter, pd, drink made to order. Ready in 5ish minutes. Offerings: merch on shelf, chocolates, bulk teas, signature/tea lattes, cold brew tea, strawberry fruit tea, cup of tea with add on options. Mucho wall art.Sips: chrysanthemum tea (5.50) nothing added-brew mildly hot, chrysanthemum tea bland or too subtle to taste.-didn't see any chrysanthemum flowers left in cup. *disappointing. Pure tea usually has distinct flava3.5 stars unknown how other tea options taste. The blends will probably overwhelm tea's delicate profile. Doubtful repeat.

The tea lattes are alright, it's similar to Asha but I prefer Asha. The service is quick and they are friendly. The place is nice and cute! Drinks are not as flavorful as I'd like. A bit watery I'd say

I decided to check this spot out as I was nearby and it looked really popular & aesthetically pleasing. Upon entering, the space is very spacious, lots of people studying & working while enjoying their drinks & pastries. They have a lot of cool stationary stuff, packaged tea, to-go cups. I tried their special drinks, joco latte which is their jasmine tea & oat latte as well as their hojicha latte. I ordered the Joco latte iced without any toppings. First taste, it was very milky with not enough tea flavor. It's not the greatest but not the worst. My sister has gotten their iced hojicha latte with boba. The tea was okay, it almost tasted like something out of a can. However, the boba was good. The total for these two drinks were $13.40 which isn't bad. This is my first time here, I'm down to try other options whenever I do return because it's not bad. The ones I chose weren't exactly my taste
