We absolutely loved the Pike Place food tour. Our guide was energetic and informative and the food was delicious. Loved getting a bit of a history lesson while we snacked on yummy foods along the route. We went at 10:30am on a Friday as the earlier tours were sold out that day. It was fairly crowded but manageable. That said, I would highly recommend going on the earlier tour, if possible. In short, totally worth it. A must do while in Seattle.

My wife an I have experienced many food tours as they are a great way to become introduced to foods you might not venture out and try, as well as learn about cities your're visiting. Jill's Livermore tour is right next door and we were pleasantly surprised on both accords.Wile this isn't world famous culinary destinations like San Francisco or Berkeley's "Food Ghetto", we enjoyed some great tastings at varied restaurants and some wine and ice cream to top it off. For instance there is much more savory dishes to try in Afghan food then Kabobs and bollani. Also foods that you might have given up on because they became lack luster when you tried them can be excellent if prepared with attention to details such as chicken enchiladas and a prime rib rib French dip sandwiches that had us begging for more--really!So if you live or are visiting the east bay, besides wine tasting in Livermore (over 60 wineries), try this enjoyable food tour; You'll not only receive generous tastings but Jill will share with you the history of Livermore that culminates in a lovely afternoon.

I highly recommend the historic Livermore food tour. Keven, the owner and tour guide is the most genuine and down-to-earth tour guide we've met. He has a lot of love for sharing the history of Livermore and introducing folks to new restaurants and foods. You can feel his positive energy in the stories he tells and his interest in meeting/getting to know people, which makes for great conversations and a really enjoyable afternoon while on the tour. The places we visited provided the perfect balance of history and a culinary sampling of Downtown Livermore. All food samplings were delicious, and your belly will be happy at the end of the tour. The walking is an easy stroll, limited to three blocks of Downtown. Looking forward to other food tours Keven offers!

WINNER! I had heard great reviews from friends at work about this food tour so I decided to give it a try while my senior was here visiting. I am so glad I did! Owner and Tour Guide Jill is a genuine treasure to be around and the tour was coordinated flawlessly! She sized the group of eight of us up right away as a a bunch of wine lovers so, in order to give us more time at the wine bar we stopped at, she went ahead to the next location (a food stop where we would have gotten two large appetizers), picked up the food, brought it back to us at the wine bar, and served it up while we tasted and learned about some delish Livermore wines. Super accommodating and thoughtful! The food and drink quantities were perfect and the walking distance was absolutely doable for my senior mom who has a little hitch in her get-along. Don't miss this tour!

Wow, what a well-curated food tour! Everything we tried was mind blowingly delicious. Jill was welcoming, entertaining and had plenty of interesting stories to share about Livermore and the history of the establishments we visited. She clearly has a great relationship with the owners and employees of the places we visited who also enriched the tour with their stories. Great experience that was well-paced, tasty and all around enjoyable. We will absolutely be revisiting for full meals and recommending the tour!

This was a unique event and we enjoyed it very much. It is a wonderful way to get the feeling of the culture of this wine country destination. It was a relaxing pace with just the right amount of time and was also quite spontaneous when the opportunity arose. We totally enjoyed our guide Kevin, who also owns the tour group. I would recommend this experience. Stephanie P

A unique experience for visitors and for Livermore locals! The tour includes alcohol tasting, food tasting, and a little bit of town history. Kevin and Mony, the owners, are so passionate about Livermore and truly care about sharing the best that it has to offer with everyone. You will not only be very well taken care of by them, but by the owners at each stop too.Breakdown of the tasting:Demitri's: Flaming cheese and a shot of OuzoFirst Street Wine Company: Wine, cheese, and chocolateRiata Diner & Tavern: Deep fried avocadoMario's French Dip: French dipRoya Afghan Cuisine: Two specialty side dishes (my favorite stop)Uncle U's: Wine and honey walnut shrimpLuna Tea Company: 3 different blendsSwirl on the Square: Wine and cake*There was also supposed to be olive oil tasting, but the place was closed for a private event. This is a MUST TRY.

I am no foodie but I sure do love to eat! What a great way to get to learn more about my hometown and eat great food with the Taste of the Neighborhood Food Tour! We visited Mario's French Dips for melt in your mouth french dips, were blown away with the side dishes served at Roya Afghan Cuisine (my favorite stop!!), tasted local wines at the 1st Street Wine Company, enjoyed a unique soup at Star Anise, consumed the highly awarded enchilada from El Charro Mexican Food & Cantina and topped off the afternoon with a cool, refreshing homemade ice cream from La Original Paleteria. Did not have a bad taste the entire trip and didn't leave hungry... which is a must for a food tour! Jill, our tour guide, may not be a local but you would never know that. She was extremely knowledgeable and taught me a thing or two about the history of Livermore. I highly recommend and am planning to do this tour again! It is a must do experience for anyone wanting to have a wonderful, memorable experience in the great downtown area of Livermore!

My mom and I went on the tour and it was awesome! Kevin, the owner and tour guide, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the different places that we visited and the town of Livermore. I'm not a wine drinker and there was quite a bit of wine involved but I was never made to feel like I HAD to drink it. Kevin even offered to get me a soda at one of the stops and water was offered at most stops. The food at all of the stops was outstanding, everything from fried avocado to lobster and shrimp. Will definitely visit some of these places again and will recommend this tour to family and friends!

This was such a wonderful experience. I went with my Dad and baby girl (8 weeks stroller bound) after buying a living social deal. I wasn't expecting much but was I pleasantly surprised! Jill is so personable and the restaurants and foods she chose for our tastings were excellent! The quality and variety of food and drinks were on par for a big city- never expected to find such great food in Livermore. The downtown is also very nice to walk through. I'd highly recommend this tour if you have 3 hours and are open to meeting new people and trying new foods.
