One of the best venues in the entire Bay Area. Huge green grass area for live events or weddings with beautiful old style home on the property as well. Beautiful photo opportunity for family Christmas or engagement announcements as well. 10/10

Went to a wedding here recently (August) - really cute venue. Ceremony was outdoors at 5pm. Dinner followed and was also outdoors. Here's where things went downhill.NO HEAT LAMPS!!! I don't know whether to fault the wedding planner (if there was one) or the venue because everyone was freezing. It was mid-50s with a strong wind chill. I brought a heavy coat with hood, gloves and a blanket and still was cold. Dinner was a disaster. Again, don't know whether to fault the venue or caterers, since I don't know if they are connected or separate. Steaks came out barely cooked. First tables served around 7:30pm, last table served at 9:30pm. Really? And front tables (family) were served after the back tables. Anyhow, the venue itself was quite lovely. Really huge, green lawn. Able to easily accommodate a wedding of 300. If you want to have a wedding here, please bring tons of heat lamps and think about all your older relatives and guests over 60 - they will be freezing and probably will get sick.

Tassajara Ranch is a beautiful venue to host your event small or large. The pictures really do not do this place justice. Whitney is the owner of the venue and also offers her services as an event planner. Whitney was a pleasure to work with and very flexible throughout our wedding planning. She heard our needs and tried her very best to keep our wedding within the budget. Whitney is also very creative and offers services as a designer for your event. She has quite a lot of experience planning any type of event and she will work with you to achieve your vision. Whitney has a nice network of local vendors you can use for your event. The pricing for vendors is competitive. Whitney also has a large "warehouse" full of rental equipment with everything from table cloths, an arch for your ceremony to candle sticks, mr. & mrs. signs, chairs, tables and dinnerware. She has a ton items for rent and will beat any price you can find elsewhere. Like other venues, you can rent the entire facility which includes a large space outside complete with a classic gazebo with a chandelier inside, several planters with beautiful flower and trees, tulips around the entire estate and use of the house for an additional fee. There isn't an outdoor dance floor, so you will have to rent that if you want to host your event on the grass, so make sure you budget that in. You could opt to use the outdoor patio as a dance floor or staging area or the concrete floor surrounded by beautiful white romanesque towers towards the back of the facility. Given it's large size, there is plenty of parking. Depending on the size of your party, Whitney may require you to hire a valet service. What I like about this facility is the flexibility with vendors. Of course Whitney has her preferred vendors that know the facility well, so I would recommend going with some if not all of her vendors to make your life easier. One of my favorite parts of the wedding was the sparkling send-off. Make sure you get that in your package. It was the best.
