Taqueria Maria

Whenever I'm in the area, I always like to stop by Taqueria Maria. If they can get my complicated order right almost every time, they are a winner! LolI like coming here because the employees are kind and helpful and the food is always super good. The portion sizes are big, so I usually get two meals out of my order.I ordered the Taco Salad this time which is filled with chicken, cheese, pinto beans, lettuce, tomatoes and guac, but I forgot to ask them to add rice. Ahh, that was on me. It was still good.I look forward to my next visit. Thanks

I ordered a super carne asada burrito with everything but when you start biting it from the top there is no meat at all nothing but vegetables, rice and that's it. To find out the meat was all the way at the end of the burrito that was my first time there I've never had a burrito like that. When I finally got to the meat, it was literally at the end.

Hands down the best super nachos I've ever had. I'm so picky but wow just wow. Best choice is to have it fresh and right there on the spot. I travel from SF just to get this.

Well menudo is a dish can be overcooked and can give off odors if not prepared well. I tell you I asked if they had pata too. Man this experience was great. You have to love the simple dishes and can be elevated just on techniques. But one of my secrets of staying young is eating something rich in collagen. This menudo did not have hominy, but never been a fan of it, but to each their own. Service was great, greeted when walked in. Salsas typically like any taquerias are self served, but after ordering they bring your food to your table. Ambiance wise Spanish music was playing and if you closed your eyes you can image you are in Mexico. I speak Spanish as well and you can imagine it was great. Food was hot when it came, flavor was balanced and texture was cooked tender, when different firmness according to the pata or the tripe. I recommend it on a Sunday hangover morning. lol definitely gave the chef some accolades for his dishes. Muy sabroso!!!

I ordered just a side of refried beans and they were delicious. Plus they gave me complimentary chips and some salsa cups. Heck I was halfway to nachos lol.

Everytime I order something they never fail me always on point I really appreciate them and all that they do the love they put into their food is very evident in every bite very delicious next time I will get a picture

My friends are fans, the lunch meet-up group I belong to are all fans, and I sure am. Why you might ask, do we all enjoy coming here? We order at the counter, so there is no problem in figuring out who owes what. The food has always been tasty. The portions are generous. I have never been able to finish a plate which is fine; I bring it home for the next day. Even the al carte orders are big. The last time I was here I ordered tacos and a Chile relleno ala carte I thought it would not be a lot of food. I should have noticed the price before I ordered; it would have given me a hint of how much food I was going to have. I was too embarrassed to ask for them to take something off my order and I was even more embarrassed when two large plates were put in front of me at the table. On the plus side, I did get 5 meals out of this huge order. On a couple of previous visits, I had shrimp Diablo and the bistek ranchero. They were both quite spicy. I usually have them leave off the beans and add extra rice. My favorite menu item is the chili relleno. They roast a good-sized pepper; it is fully stuffed with cheese, and covered with a ranchero sauce. They do a great job of clearing out the pepper seeds. The chips are okay, I do like the salsas. My only quibble is that the salsas are not marked, I do like to know what they are before I put them in the very small cups. The restaurant has always been busy when I've come here and the line can be long. The service is efficient and not particularly friendly. Perhaps that is because I am usually here at lunch when it is busy. A plus is easy parking and the central location near the freeway. I can eat here or take it home quickly and enjoy the food before it is cold.

Came in early on a Saturday while getting my car serviced across the street. The food was okay flavor-wise. I was more impressed with the portion sizes and service. I also like that they open so early. 9am!

Ordered a super burrito and paid $18 the cashier told pointed out a bag of food and said that was my order. Later when i opened it up it was quesadilla I called them and they try to say I ordered a quesadilla wtf super burrito and quesadilla don't sound a like then do I was like I paid for the price of a super burrito and she was like like no u paid for price of quesadilla. Lairs can't owe up to their mistakes... the menu does not show quesadilla as $18 when I was paying I even told her I was picking up the super burrito

This place has been here for a while and I have tried it a few times. I work really close to this place so it's super convienent when I want something quick and easy! The customer service is always great and although they are always busy around lunch time the food comes out fairly fast! I don't have anything bad to say about this establishment, I am only giving them three stars because I've just had more flavorful food from other Taqueria's.
