Taqueria El Gordo

This is not to be confused with the one in Downtown Hayward on B Street in the Lucky Shopping Center. But I can tell you that the tacos here are super addicting. They give you plenty of meat on the tacos and do not skimp at all. They even allow to order a side of rice and beans if you wish. My husband and I try other things to order online from this establishment and they don't disappoint. I miss taco trucks in the Triangle area in Hayward so this is the next best thing.

Taco meat was decent. I love there green sauce bold flavor on the el pastor which is what I like when I ask for a el pastor taco. Soft rice was a plus with cool tasting beans. Only had about 6 tacos and I was very satisfied I would go back

Driving around looking for something meaty and satisfying after not finding the recommended sushi joint...the only reason I even spotted this place was the bright lights shining on a tiny white building. (It looked like the lot could have been an old car wash or something.) Flipped a u'ie at the next intersection and made it into their little lot. Order at the window, sit outside or in your car. Tacos are the bomb!!! They do it right and everything was really fresh, including the salsa verde but I wish they gave out 2-3 containers per. Ordered 4 tacos for like 7 or 8 bucks. Asada and shredded chicken were so good I could have eaten 3 more. They use double corn tortilla, but I only ate the one wrap per taco. I ordered pretty tame stuff compared to what was on their menu. Menu has a good variety, but whoever made the sign can't spell. That's ok--can't taste the sign. I'd definitely go back again when I'm traveling through.

Never disappoints when I'm craving some quick street tacos..service has always been friendly and punctual..Would def recommend

Ok for tacos, good flavor but I wouldn't trade in my pericos in downtown san leandro.

Only giving them 2 stars because they have been skimping on their super burritos - they look more like regular burritos compared to other restaurants. Their tacos are hit or miss as far as the amount of meat they put in. They are not consistent at all on that part. They also no longer provide pico de gallo like they used to. Cashiers are not as friendly either.

The food was really good. We order Caldo de Res and a whole fried fish. The soup was food and the fish was delicious!

Went for lunch on a work-day with 3 associates. I ordered 3 tacos and a chorizo torta.The service was poor. The waitress must have been new because it took her a long time to use the register and take down orders. She got our order wrong the first time, and she delivered our meals one by one several minutes apart. I was half-way through my plate before they brought the last person their food. We also has to ask for water refills.The food was a little overcooked, but it seemed like it would have been good otherwise.
