Lived in Hayward since High School, go Lancers!!This spot used to be iconic in the late 90s if you were trying to get menudo in the weekends there would be a line before they would open and it would usually run out by 9 or 10am. My brother in laws swear by the burritos but I've always been partial to the menudo. Mexican food in the bay is so abundant that it seems that you have a spot for tacos, a spot for burritos and so on. This was my spot for menudo would always get it to go, and side of beans, then add the "grano" or hominy at home, usually you just brought a small pot for the to go. My father in law and so many of my compás would be there every Saturday morning.We came for lunch the other day and again this is my spot for menudo but to eat in I don't like because I like grano and they serve menudo with out so I just had the shrimp cocktail, my wife had the bistek ranchero and daughter and her husband split a burrito. Everything was good and the salsas were nice and fresh. Wife remembers her bistek being better but the burritos were "on point" according to my daughter and husband.I appreciated that they give you the ketchup and spicy sauce on the Side so you can add how much you want of each on your cocktail. Most places just have that in there already so that was pretty cool.4.5 stars for the nostalgia, 3.75 for the food, clean and service was good, 4 stars for the salsa but their chip situation has always been bad , they have always served Costco chips so that's a 1.5 star.

Good: it was huge. Like the size of burritos back in 08' I'm surprised I finished it. Very tasty salsa bar. Sometimes you know the food is good if they salsa looks full and there is variety. I called in and asked for a super steak with extra sour cream. It was ready when I was there. The total was about $17 and I asked for chips and if I could eat there. She provided chips. Burrito was really moistBad: the meat was that wet meat that was sitting in a pan so although there was a lot of it, it wasn't too flavorful as you would prefer the dark sear on it. It was a straight forward fill you up burrito. The ingredients weren't spread out well so I got that sour cream / guac on only one side7.1

No understatement: this is most likely the best burrito I've ever had. I got the Jumbo with Al Pastor. Jumbo it most definitely was, and the thing that made it so great is that it was loaded with tasty, richly seasoned meat chunks, and just the right amount of every other fresh ingredient. You know how sometimes you pay a little extra for lettuce and guac and then there's just not that much in there? Not here. I got half way through this yummy monster burrito, took a break, and then finished every last bite.We got chips and guac too. The latter was more of a salsa, but a great addition to the burrito. The chips were over fried. I'll skip these next time and savor the burrito all the more.

The place was very clean and orderly. The al pastor tacos with guacamole were fantastic! I was surprised at the quantity as well as the great flavor. I will be back!

Man, I dunno why this place only has 3.5 stars! The carnitas here are excellent!The tacos are also pretty full tacos, not the $1 ones you get in TJ. Typical looking taquiera but man the food here was really good! And the food comes out quick too, i dunno what they do there, but its definitely a place I'll be going to again. And again.Not sure why the rating is so low, maybe they put some other creatures in the food, but I don't care... I'm alive and I'm not sick.

Not sure when this place opened but I grew up on their burritos. Fast forward 20 years and I'm still eating it and my kids now too. It's flavorful, priced fair and generous portions. I don't know how someone can rate them poorly, but we've been going here for years and it continues to be my favorite spot.

The best burritos in Hayward. I HATE that they started using the tiny salsa cups and you have to ask for tops but the burritos and the orange salsa is bomb. I've tried a bunch of burrito spots in Hayward and this one actually gives you a decent size burrito. A Super Burrito should be big. Period. I really need them to get the regular salsa cups again or give me the recipe because I'm tired of looking crazy asking for 15 tops. Lol

I have been buying their foods since 1999, but are not good anymore and I noticed that their carnitas and beef taste awful. I am not coming back there.

Every time I order a super burrito from here they never put guacamole even tho it says it has it on the menu.. so this time I specifically order just a regular burrito with carne n added guacamole.. even paid extra for the guacamole this is what I got..... once again no guacamole

Food is good but prices have gone way up ... the Carne Asada has alot of flavor... the price for a Carne Asada burrito is like $15 now
