BEST AND FRESHEST NACHOS EVER!!TACOS are great also, BUT THOSE NACHOS!!I had quit eating nachos because too many places were making them too salty or greasy or both. These are hands down the best and you get a lot!! They give you what you pay for...a full meal. Dang!! I be feigning those Nachos. They should know me because I keep ordering the NACHOS.

I came up from a long walk and this was a saving grace . Tbh I didn't know they had this location . Located on fruitvale and foothill. It's located in a laundromat parking lot. Great place to eat when you are washing or just passing by . You can park your car and they are open late. I had a great experience I got a basic carne asada burrito . The meat was tender and juicy, the rice and beans were flavorful as well . The customer service was awesome.

Tacos Guadalajara #2 opens where Tacos El Matzalan long was. T. G. Has a brick & mortar eatery & taco truck near the 880 freeway for literally decades as well as an eatery in Montclair district. This location has been upgraded by the addition of a few tables, picnic style.Orders customizable, quickly and efficiently processed. Pay, wait for order to be called. Small parking accessible on fruitvale side.Offerings: aqua fresca, breakfast burrito/taco, tortas, burritos, tostada, sopes, flautas, steak fries, bowls, tacoSalad, quesadillas, extras...menu different from B&MDrink: Jamaica aqua fresca (L. 5)-slightly oversweetened, uneven natural taste.Eats: lengua taco(3.5)-on slightly grilled duo corn tortillas with garnishes of white onions, radish slices, jalepeno, lime squeeze, sour carrot slices, -filled with generous portion of juicy, tender beef tongue, green salsa, cilantro..Cabeza tacos (3.5)-same tortillas, garnishes. Filled with plenty of juicy, tender, semi-fatty beef head meat. 5 stars- Great value, quick, courteous service. Menu design unique. Takes time to comprehend.Take outs:-since the 1980's, the Fruitvale district has been the go to place to get Mexican/Latin American eats in Oakland. No shortage of eateries here. -in fact, several commissaries/food kitchens exist here To cook food for food trucks going to nearby communities...neighborhoods..

"Tacos Guadalajara #2" is a food truck located on the corner of Fruitvale Ave & Foothill Blvd in East Oakland. This is the former spot used by Tacos El Mazatlan. I just happen to be driving down Fruitvale Ave from I-580, and look over and see a taco truck with a familiar name sitting on the corner and looking flashy under bright lights. So I guess this is the 2nd taco truck in the fleet at a different location. It's 9pm on a Wednesday night, clear skies, and no wind. Okay, I parked on the street because I thought the lot was for the laundry. But apparently you can park in the lot. The menu has both breakfast and regular items. I decided on a regular steak burrito ($13), and I added sour cream, guac, and cheese. So I end up with a $15 burrito, and paid cash. The man who took my order said it'll be ready in 5-mins. There was a 3-man crew inside the food truck. What's a food truck? A food truck is a restaurant on wheels. It's best used to bring food service to underserved places. In this case, "Tacos Guadalajara #2" serves mexican food from 830am to almost midnight. It was 9pm, I looked around and every storefront was closed. This food truck had tables set up, bright lights, and it was fenced in. How was the burrito? (I took the food home). The burrito weighed in at just over 25-oz. It's pretty hefty for a regular burrito. It was loaded with steak, rice, beans, sour cream, guac, and cheese. It was good, maybe a little salty. Maybe next time I won't include the cheese. But it's a good burrito, fresh flavors and easy to eat. Packed double wrapped in foil. Located at 2001 Fruitvale Ave, next to the East Bay Laundry.

Sorry, this place is just a run of the mill taqueria. They serve late which is nice, and the food is ok. I ordered their carnitas burrito, and tacos al pastor, and unfortunately it wasn't special. I didn't hate it, but I also didn't love it. It was almost TOO seasoned and left too much of an earth taste in my mouth afterwards.

They still can't give you any tortilla chips, EVEN WHEN YOU EXPLICITLY REQUEST THEM. So you get your guacamole, and nothing to dip in it. LOVELY. Find another restaurant.

Since there was no communication, I thought maybe they weren't open due to the holiday weekend. Grubhub made no attempts to contact me, had it not been for my neighbor not sure if I would have gotten my food. Despite that, the food was delivered on time and warm.I ordered a chile verde burrito and a pollo enchilada which was plenty for two and leftovers. However, the food was just okay. Therefore, I would not go back again. Still searching for good Mexican food in Oakland, until then I'll continue to go to SF.

My go to taco truck in the town. Iv been coming here for a long time. Tortas are hella good I get pastor w/everything and cheese. They don't skimp they pretty fat. Highly recommend. It's a a little bit safer and more chill then some of the other trucks since it's off international a bit. In my opinion at least. A lot less crackhead shenanigans MOST OF THE TIME. Service is what you would expect from a taco truck. My only complaint about this place is that you can't pay at the truck with a card you have to walk inside the restaurant and pay at the register. It's really not that big of a deal you have to wait for the food anyway. Just saying I wouldn't be mad if they got a card reader in the truck.
