Tacos El Tucan

Food was overall good.Wait times can be up to twenty minutes for order to be ready.Nachos were decent & burrito was good.Would've rather had a whole beans on nachos instead of refried not sure if that's an option. The cheese was cold not melted enough on the Nachos.California burrito was a bit dry because all the pico de gallo and sour cream was only in the bottom portion of the burrito.The pineapple drink was very good. The red hot sauce red was very good.Going to try the tacos next time but overall I liked it.

Ordered Birria Tacos, my dad loved them! I ordered Nachos... seemed like it was missing cheese? Husband got a bowl. Was Decent. I heard nothing but great things here. Flavor was on point to the bowl & nachos, i didn't try the tacos. Wait time was super long, for a weeknight. Portions were quite small & prices were pricey. Was too cold to eat there so we got to go. Will definitely try again. Hopefully better portions and more ingredients. Good place to go to.

I decided to order takeout in person after struggling to get through on the phone, and I ended up waiting about 30 minutes. Not sure why it took so long, especially since it wasn't that busy when I arrived. I did overhear staff taking phone orders, so maybe they were busy.For my order, I got the red burrito with birria and nachos with carne asada. The birria was definitely the highlight, tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Unfortunately, the red tortilla didn't really stand out and tasted pretty much like a regular tortilla. The burrito was generously stuffed with meat, rice, and beans, which I appreciated.The nachos, however, was a disappointment. The chips were smothered in toppings to the point of being soggy, making them impossible to separate without creating a mess. The majority of the topping was sour cream, and there was a bit of meat and guac to round it out. Not the nacho experience I was hoping for.On the positive side, they have their own parking lot and outdoor seating, which is a nice touch. Price-wise, it's reasonable for the East Bay, but overall, the food quality didn't quite hit the mark.

I been meaning to go here for a minute but every time I went by there was a super long line. That is for a reason though! I finally stopped and got the California burrito and it was one of the best burritos I've had in the bay. The ingredients are hella fresh and packed with flavor, and the spicy pickled veggies were top tier. Also the burrito is so big I had it for two meals. Absolutely worth the wait

Man those red tacos were . I should took a pic but once I bit into them it was a done deal. Flavor to amount of meat in the tacos were unmatched. Had me in a food come.

Tacos El Tucan opened where Pup Hut was. Specialty-Tijuana-style tacos. Outside seating only. Offerings: tacos, burritos, mulitas, quesadillas, quesatacos, aqua fresca, nachos, bowls, plates. Tortillas house made. Same with tomato based medium salsa.Drill: order at right window, pay, pick up food at left window when # is called. 10ish minutes..Bites: barria mulita (4.95)- schredded juicy beef between 2 corn tortillas with melty cheese, jalepenos, onion, cilantro..Yum!Shrimp taco(3.25)-5 medium grilled juicy shrimp smothered with orange crema mixed with cabbage, cilantro..deliz!Asada taco (3.25)-grilled juicy steak pieces topped with guacamole, mixed with cilantro, lettuce, onions. Delightful!Adobada taco (3.25) al pastor, -marinated pork topped with whitish crema. Mixed with lettuce, cilantro, white onions. Happily stuffed-4.5 stars took me awhile to eat it all. Had tears in my right eye. Not cuz it was so good but cuz a blister on my tongue tip made it difficult to eat. Food got cold before i ate it all. *free parking in lot behind eatery

I love Tucán! We live down the street, so it's usually our go to. We always get super burritos de asada. They fry cheese on the inside of the tortilla and it really makes a difference in flavor. I've deviated from the burritos and have gotten nachos and the cheesy tacos before. Both are delicious! Cheesy tacos are slightly oily, but what do you expect from frying cheese hard? Only negative is that they don't serve black beans. But the Pinto and refried beans are still good. No "indoor dining" which is why we usually order to go. Pro tip: order something from Tucan and then grab a drink at the bar a few doors down at The Factory ;)

Deep in Richmond on the way to the airport we decided to stop by and we were glad we did. They have their own parking lot which makes it nice.You order through the window like infront of the store. They do have outdoor seating only option but we took ours to go. Lady that ook our order was nice and patient as we figure out what to try. I hear they are known for birria tacos but unfortunately we didn't order that. We did order quesadilla and super carne asada burritos and it did not dissapoint. Each order was give chips and salsa.Let me add salsa was very good. They had mild and spicy. We already plan on coming and trying other things on their menu because we loved it.

I'm so glad this place is in Richmond and not Oakland because I'd be here every single day! Best chicken burrito I've had in years. The red tacos are delicious and filling. The Tucan fries are also delicious. I'm big on quality ingredients and this place doesn't disappoint. Friendly service. Great selection of food and it's located next to an ice cream spot if you have room for dessert afterwards. Yes I'm a foodie . The location is small and it gets pretty busy so you may have to park on the street. Plenty of outdoor seating as well.

Their food is delicious, love quesatacos with adobadaHowever, I always call to make a phone order but they never answer. Awful customer service.
