As someone who grew up in this area, it's nice to see how far this area has come about. This was my first time here and the location is super big. The artwork from the moment you enter the parking and then when walking throughout the restaurant is filled with artists that one grew up seeing or listening too and the colors are super vibrant.As for the food, the wait to order the food was a bit long but having live mariachi made it worth the wait.The tacos are filled with a lot of meat instead of what one usually would get at another location. The tacos de lengua were tender and flavorful. The quesabirrias could have a little more flavor and the consume was very oily but overall, I would come back to this location again.

I like this place! Used to come late at night when they only had the truck and would be slicing that pastor off the stick with pineapple. YUM!The vibe is lit, fun drinks (albeit they could lower the cocktail prices considering they were calculated on the pour when I went), good tacos, and a SALSA BAR!

This spot has a huge seating area, fun decorations and hella good deals. I went in for the $1 taco day. My fave was the Al pastor taco- adding the spicy af orange salsa and pickled onions from the salsa bar. Also the $20 deal for the margarita flight was worth it. I was feeling those drinks! Def check out those specials/deals when they pop up!

Almost a soft 4 stars. Tacos el Rulas is taco truck style food but in a large warehouse type venue w/ beautiful murals on the wall. There is a stage and it seems like they sometimes have live music some nights/days. This particular day, there was no live music however they had mariachi music blaring on the speakers. Candidly a little too loud!!!! The music was at a volume level for a large party of 200+ people yet there was no more than 15 people dining. Friendly customer service at both the food counter and the bar. My Spanish is mas o menos so I really appreciate the attendant patiently answering my questions around the menu that is 100% in Spanish.The loaded baked potato was certainly a full meal and filled w/ delicious flavor. Loved the option of different meat, I went w/ the Al pastor and it didn't disappoint. The tacos were okaaaay. The carnitas was my favorite out of also Al pastor and carne asada. However I do feel like the meet lacked flavor and seasoning. Also I didn't think the tacos were worth the $$. The highlight for me was certainly the margarita flight. Loved how there was a sample of watermelon, lime, guava and mango.The parking lot is a little small and crowded w/ taco trucks, vintage cars and honestly what looks like junk. But what is cool is there is plenty of seating inside in what is kind of like a warehouse, cafeteria and almost rave like vibe.

Tacos el Rulas was a good surprise for me. There is a small parking lot and at first, I was doubtful about this restaurant because of the limited parking I thought it would be a small restaurant inside. Surprisingly it has a big interior with a stage and a bar. Beautiful wall art encompasses the culture and sets the vibes. Music is set to fit the tone and I can assume the restaurant hosts live shows on the stage. The service I have no complaints about because when my group arrived there was not a big line. I feel the setup of ordering first and paying, seating yourself, and then bringing your order to you, works perfectly. I saw many reviews complaining about this setup, but I had no issue. The wait time was fairly quick and the staff were friendly and kind. The food was flavorful and I would return to try more menu items. The Papa Loca was my favorite and the burrito was my least favorite. I also love that they offer a toppings/salsa bar that is self-serve. They have a variety of toppings including cucumbers, habanero onions, and multiple salsas. 4 stars due to lack of consistency in the temperature of the fresh Aguas frescas, as some had ice and some were room temperature. Also, for the error in our order where we were double charged for an item, and the burrito was mediocre.

Beautiful artwork, amazing flavors, fresh food, and drinks. The bar serves amazing alcoholic beverages. There are Agua Fresca's are well flavored their meat is fresh hot and well seasoned.

Another Instagram restaurant found!!!!!The outside is super nice. All the decor was nice! It just draws your attention! Great job on that!THE FOOD HERE IS IMMACULATE!!!!!! Everything was perfect! I have no complaints about the food at all. The portions were huge. My family and I got two things off the menu each and we didn't eat everything there. We had food for the next day, literally lol The guys taking our order was very sweet and helpful! Appreciate them especially because most things on the menu were in Spanish but we had no problem ordering at all. They also have a truck that you can order from outside but we definitely got the full experience with eating inside Horchata 10/10!!Now the alcohol drinks ... for a $30 flight .. I'm not expecting to be super intoxicated but it tasted like premade juice. I don't think any of the drinks was worth it for the price but it's super cute but it wasn't worth it to me. That's literally my only complaint. I didn't get a photo of the salsa bar but that was very convenient! I love this place and I can't wait to go back. Thank you guys soooooooo much!

I love the loaded potatoes (papa loca) here. We ordered nachos but the chips that were chosen for the nachos were terrible. We ordered a coronita and it was delicious. I love their strawberry agua frescas.

Don't know if their recent rise on social media is intentional or not but either way, good for them. I've driven past this place a thousand times and only decided to check it out after seen on an instagram reel. I was super excited and that excitement was immediately contained as soon as I arrived. They have a parking lot but it's small considering how fast they're blowing up on line; street parking is easy with a walk. Upon entering, depending on the time, you may find yourself stuck in a line out the door and that's because you order your food before sitting down. There's an entirely separate line for drinks. I absolutely hate establishments with this kind of operational setup. If your party is big enough I highly recommend you divide and conquer and one of you snatch a table towards the entrance if you came to talk because otherwise tables closer to the stage are hella loud. The line for drinks moved quickly when birthday parties weren't taking up too much space and time. Don't mean to hate, I get it. The lighting, the music, the drinks I found myself wanting to dance but like I came for dinner and didn't know that I was basically entering a warehouse turned eatery that could easily be a club. The food and drinks were fine. I appreciate the chunks of pineapple that came with the pastor tacos. The carnitas quesatacos had plenty of meat. Tasted some papa locas that were yummy but wish they had crema. The drinks were underwhelming and expensive. FYI you have to pay a deposit to have your drink in a special cup. My friend ordered the margarita flight and we assumed it would come in an airplane as seen on social media but that didn't happen, so maybe there's a deposit there too, I don't know. It wouldn't have been an issue but the margaritas on the flight were lukewarm and we had to ask for a cup of ice to drink them.Glad I came, enjoyed the vibe. Don't need to come back.
