Tachikawa, the official restaurant beside The Ember that has been in the Del Monte Center forever. With Hunan Villa closing down in the end of 2024 Tachikawa has been in that spot for years. It's been years since I had take out from Tachikawa. I was not disappointed on my order. The Chicken Teriyaki and Salmon Teriyaki were delicious. I was provided with two chopsticks instead of one.The inside of Tachikawa is small but nice. Coming there for dinner can be half crowded. I am aware of the price of food at Tachikawa. What you pay for is worth it, no complaints at all.

The only reason I put 2 stars instead of 1 is because the young girl server was very nice and attentive. The ambiance is cute but could be cleaner.Floor is sticky and everyone sounds like they have SpongeBob boots walking around. The food is not worth the price. I got a rainbow roll and beef teriyaki and mixed tempura bento box. Everything was very bland. I stopped eating half way and asked for the check. Everything was about $50 with a $5 tip. Koi sushi in San Pablo is much better and worth the extra distance.

I'm not a huge fan of sushi but this place deserves a good review! The rolls: Lion king and Oh yes are absolutely delicious! One of the best that I ever ate in my life!

My mother in law invited us to go here and I didn't even realize they were open. We sometimes eat at the restaurant next door so I've seen this place before but it didn't look busy. The day we went here for lunch, it was busy after we sat. I ordered the mackerel bento and it was delicious. Ordered my son the chicken teriyaki and also ordered a crunchy roll. All were fresh and really good. Nice and quiet even though it was full in there.

Consistently good sushi, friendly service and great happy hour pricing! Oh Yes, Rainbow and California rolls are the favorites. They offer saki , white and red wine and a beer or two as well. The ambiance is comfy. Usually easy parking. We've been going here for years and have never been disappointed.

The service is great, waitresses are patient and nice. I went here with my friend and we ordered the Oh Yes Roll and some udon. I recommend the Oh Yes Roll! It's pretty darn good, but it was honestly the only thing that was good. The udon broth tastes so watered down, and it just tasted very plain and also looked very plain. You also have to pay extra to put an egg in it, if I remember correctly.
