Delicious food and super kind and friendly staff. We tried:The masala dosaChicken curryTandoori bites (lamb and our fav)Turmeric lemonade Everything was flavorful and comforting. We ate inside and were able to see everything freshly made. There are three tables inside. Note the spot does a lot of take out so eating inside means eating out of take out boxes but it doesn't take away from the quality of the food. The menu was also a bit overwhelming on the site but the staff are more than willing to make recommendations.

I've been on the hunt for a go-to Indian spot and I think I've found it in Taava Kitchen. My daughter and I stopped in for takeout on a Saturday night and watched everything being prepared. We ordered widely (I may have gone a touch overboard given we're a family of three):Daal makhaniChicken tikka masalaChicken kormaMomos SamosasKebabNaanAll of it packed a flavor punch and the items I ordered medium spicy for my husband and me were exactly that. He told me the chicken korma was just what he was looking for. There are a few tables inside for very casual dining but be prepared to keep your jackets on if you visit in the winter months (it's cold inside!).

Ordered from this spot for delivery through DoorDash. It was delivered promptly. Got food for dinner for me and my partner.We shared the tandoori hot wings with jalapeno dip. We wanted something spicy and the jalapeno dip intrigued us. We were torn between the tandoori hot wings and regular tandoori chicken, but the pictures of the wings looked so good, we went with that. It did not disappoint! The chicken was crispy and had a slight kick. The star of the show was the delicious jalapeno ranch dip.We also shared the original butter chicken with a garlic cilantro naan. The butter chicken was not too sweet bor salty, and the creaminess held up so well. It would've been great with rice too. The naan was hot and soft; there was a perfect amount of garlic on it. It was also huge so we were glad to have shared one since we had wings as an appetixer, although you can totally eat one on your own.I'd recommend this spot for sure!

I have only had the samosas and saag with chicken, but my mind is blown. I said the highest spicy, and it's trying, but it's not too much. Just perfect.This is my, hands down favorite Indian restaurant in the Oakland area right now. The spice and ingredients are next level.I cannot wait to try more items from the menu.

I can't rave enough about this place! From top to bottom, such a great experience my wife and I had while in town visiting some family and stopping by for dinner. Customer service by the young man, whose name I forgot right now, hopefully he knows I'm shouting him out. Was very sweet, as quick as can be given he was the only server for both dine in and pick up. Their a small kitchen, so the wait was a while but definitely worth it. We ordered a good handful of different menu items. Everything was so delicious and flavorful it was nuts! The curry chicken was probably my favorite, though I loved everything. I really can't recommend this place enough for a great meal in a great atmosphere. I know when my family is back in town, this is now a go-to pit stop for us!

The food was disappointing. Everything ordered was swimming in a massive amount of similar-tasting curry. The photo of mixed vegetables dish on the website is of dry veggies, but what we got was about 2/3 gravy and 1/3 vegetables. Fenugreek (which traditionally is a dry dish) with chicken had large amounts of gravy as well, and it was hard to even notice the fenugreek. On the plus side, the the food was not stomach upsetting, which I was somewhat prepared for given the looks of it. The area lacks any other Indian restaurant and I was hoping the food would be good. However, sadly, I don't think I'll be ordering again. Note that this is mostly a takeout place, with a couple of high seating tables.
