As Pastel wound down, my friend happened to order something from here. Knowing the number of opportunities was limited, I joined her in finding something, coincidentally the same item that she ordered.I paused for only a day after picking it up in trying the guava cheese scones (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=6zUCytWzCDDCG3fREWgEMw&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q), I ate my first one as is (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=l0wRu-R-cRi7FeekzUBv0g&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q) and was surprised by the flavors, a mix of savory and sweet in the aftertaste. Not sure whether the savory part came from the cheese but it was certainly tasty. A few days later, I ate one and it just wasn't quite the same as the flavors were muted. I suggest reheating them in the oven if you don't have it right away. Do refrigerate them if you do not eat it right away.I was tempted to try the Afternoon Tea box but my primary doctor wouldn't appreciate me getting this for my family and me. I will keep my eyes open on other menu items and alternative ways to try her foods.

Puto bumbong was my favorite. Queso de bola was good too. I still have a pie waiting for me in the freezer. :) I really hope Sweet Condesa continues making these amazing pies!

Great Filipino tarts. My favorite was the Calamansi which is basically an Asian key lime pie. Also liked the Halo Halo and the Ube which are a bit heftier than the tart Calamansi.

So I didn't buy these pies from Sweet Condesa, but got them as a treat from my bro, so I can't review the ordering process nor can I comment on the price, but I can review the mini pies that we received.~ Calamansi Pie ~The flavor of calamansi is definitely there. Think lemon/key lime like custard a tart lovely flavor, but it was just overtly sweet. I'm not a huge fan of super sweet things as it gives me immediate headaches. The crust was not really a crust. It fell apart as we put a fork in it.~ Barako Coffee Pie ~Like the calamansi pie, it was just so sweet. I would say I prefered the "crust" on this. It was very much more like a cookie/brownie like chew. Then there's a layer of a coffee custard. So think a custard filled cookie/brownie. I don't know if you could really call this a pie, but hey, it's in a pie tin...so I guess you could call it a pie.O V E R A L LI won't shun cakes or pies away. I just couldn't eat more than a bit without having a sugar headache. But if you do have a sweet tooth, then by all means, try them out! I'm not going to be finding my way to get more pies from here, just can't handle the sweetness...

This is an amazing find in Oakland's Jack London Square area. I was fortunate enough to have a few pieces of their Hala Hala pie. It's a a Filipinodessert made with Yam and other ingredients. The graham cracker crust was great also. The only downside is I could buy some of their pastries at the pick up time. I wish I was closer to this great bakery.

We were excited to pick up an 8" ube pie from sweet condesa. So disappointed when we cut into it a puddle of purple ube, with the consistency of water, shot to the top and the whole pie was a jiggly mess. We contacted them and requested a refund of $45 for this pie.The owner, Melody, responded immediately and graciously offered to replace this pie with another. We hope it's of better quality.Giving 3 stars for great customer service to partially offset the poor quality of the pie. Hope to update with higher score after trying the replacement pie.

Oooooweee! Masarap! After I took my first bite of the ube pie I must have jumped out of the chair. I'm an ube virgin and I don't even like candied yams so I always thought to myself why would I eat a purple yam. But let me tell you this was a delectable surprise and the perfect introduction. When I ate the calamansi pie I jumped out the chair again. I have to say I am delighted I stumbled onto this place online and pre ordered the Ube and Calamansi pies. Totally worth it! I certainly will be going to back Sweet Condesa when I get a chance and you should try them out as well.

This review is way overdue but I hope it's better late than never! My now-husband and I reached out to Melody from Sweet Condesa for our wedding back in Spring 2023. I knew that I wanted Filipino-flavored desserts to honor my heritage and was deciding between a few different vendors. I am so glad I reached out to Sweet Condesa (who was quick to respond!) because, after a tasting, my husband and I knew that she would create the dessert menu we dreamed of. We ordered a two-tier, ube wedding cake, which had ube halalya and ube buttercream, dulce de leche tartlets, calamansi pie tartlets, strawberries and cream tartlets, ube panna cotta, and mango coconut shortbread bars (which were perfect for our vegan guests). By the end of the wedding, everyone raved about Melody's desserts - both how beautiful and how delicious they were! Every now and then, I get a craving for our wedding desserts and wish I could order them more regularly hahaI know that Sweet Condesa is taking a pause for now but I truly hope she brings back her wedding catering and or our wedding menu options! Truly such a special and talented vendor to work with for any event.

Our experience with Melody & Sweet Condesa was absolutely perfect. We found her on Instagram & saw that she was hosting a Filipino & Latin-inspired concept tasting. My husband is half Cuban & I am Filipino, & we wanted to incorporate aspects of our culture into our wedding. So when we came across this event, we knew we had to go. Immediately after the tasting event, we knew we wanted to have her desserts at our wedding. We had another tasting with other desserts that we were allowed to select & try. She was so sweet & brought extra for my parents. We chose Ube Cookies, Guava Pinipig Crumble Shortbread Bars, Pandan Meringue Tartlets, Strawberry Cream Pie Bar Bites, & Turon Pie Bar Bites. My favorite was the Pandan Meringue Tartlet & my husband's favorite was the Guava Pinipig Crumble, but they were all delicious. But those Ube Cookies though... Those cookies are still talked about to this day by so many family & friends that attended! Even though she is based in San Francisco, she went above & beyond by driving all the way to Carmel to deliver & set up these desserts. They were one of our top 5 favorite elements of our wedding. Communication was always constant & consistent with Melody, and she made us feel so valued & special. We are so glad to have had the opportunity to work with her. (The cake in the pictures was provided by a different baker)
