Finding great sushi is always an adventurous journey... While Sushi Park didn't quite hit the mark, I can't rave enough about the service! The ladies who work here are so nice and are very attentive to all of their guests. My twin boys (4) were treated so well and were even given a belated birthday Mango Mochi Ice Cream. So while the food wasn't the highlight, it does not mean it wasn't good, it was decent. Based on food alone, it's a solid 6.5/10, but when you factor in the staff, I'd give them a 8.5/10, with the staff as the highlight!

This restaurant is so cute! It is the perfect casual date night spot, small, nice lighting and cozy. It is a smaller restaurant and parking is hard so I recommend coming on the earlier side. The service was very friendly and the sushi was solid! I got the sashimi starter which comes with Salad, Miso Soup, and Rice and then 10 pieces of sashimi - 2 pieces each of Salmon, Hamachi, Tuna, White Tuna, and Butterfish. The Hamachi was AMAZING - buttery soft and so flavorful. The Salmon and Butterfish were good, but the Tuna and White Tuna were not good. They were super tough, with lots of fibers and very hard to bite into. I wouldn't recommend getting those. The rolls and tempura looked really good. Overall, I recommend this sushi spot!

You know your little hole in the wall places? How you love them, but at the same time you're worried that if you rave about them too much, they'll become mobbed and no longer your "little secret"?I've held off writing anything about Sushi Park for the past 2 years for this very reason. They're small, cute, and have some amazing sushi. I've never had a bad roll, never had a warm beer or bad experience with them. Not once, not ever. Some of their signature dishes (like the firecracker balls, for instance) are amazing gems worth the visit for on their own. Their staff are attentive and it's easy for them to be available when they're such a small establishment. It's difficult to articulate what makes one sushi restaurant stand out, but here it's the combination of the food, staff and the ambiance that make a perfect little place for your next date or just a sushi-gorging event all for you. Just try to keep it a secret when you're going... I don't want my cute little place to be overrun.

Came by here after my son band performance. We ordered a bento box and some rolls to share. nice and small restaurant inside. It was about half full but we got seated immediately. Staff here was awesome. Nice and courteous and always refilling our waters. Food was delicious and came out quickly. To end the night they gave my boys some free dessert on the house that was very nice of them. Thank you so much

I really like their sushi! I had been looking for a reliable, affordable option and this is it. Maybe it's just me, but I like firm-fleshed fish and theirs is the firmest around! Avocados are ripe but never brown, spicy tuna is a good ratio of mayo to fish.I've only gotten takeout, but the inside is cute, too. Cozy. One of these days I'd like to go there with a book and read for a while.

I love Park Sushi. Quaint little interior in a little Oakland business district. The people here are so nice and the sushi is excellent. My husband used to love their Hamachi collar (Hamachi Kama) but since going vegan we enjoy their vegetable tempura rolls and avocado rolls. Never disappointed, they have been our 'go to' sushi spot for many, many years and we're thankful.

They posted their hours as closing at 9:30 PM on their menu and on their door, but they told us 9:00 PM to try to rush us out because we had gotten there (late to them apparently) at 8 PM! (See pic of posted closing time.)This was unsettling because it's unprofessional for one, and, two, I especially hate being rushed to eat. Admittedly, most of the fish on the sushi was more or less fresh, but the Ebi (Shrimp) was very chewy, almost rubbery. So do not order! Also, the sushi rice was really a letdown. It almost tasted like plain Japanese sticky rice; there was barely any hint of seasoning--bereft of rice vinegar or sugar (or at least mirin). If you've never tried to make sushi rice, trust me when I say these are essentials. The server even tried to sell us down to the Sushi Regular when we ordered the Sushi Deluxe, saying the latter was really too big. Huh? Which eating establishment tries to sell you down?? Some might actually do because they have that rare altruistic heart when they don't think you can come close to finishing it. But upon seeing what actually came as the deluxe, which wasn't super big, Sushi Park is clearly not one of them. I felt the server was just trying to sell us down because she didn't want the sushi chefs to have to take longer to make a bigger order, and they all didn't want us to linger longer eating when they had planned to close earlier for the night. The server was also abrupt and not very engaging, again and in keeping with the "trying to rush us out" theme. Also, be warned, parking is tough there since there aren't that many spaces and there are a lot of storefronts competing for foot traffic.

Average. No a/c, as many small eateries in Oakland. Saving energy vs comfort of dining. The weather in San Francisco cool, a/c isn't really necessary. Food is average as well. The neighborhood feels calm and neat but is there is a bullet at the store next door?

I have been going to Sushi Park for 15 years since the first month they opened. This is my go to sushi spot throughout the entire Bay Area. I've tried countless other restaurants over the years and still feel nothing else compares to Sushi Park. The quality of fish is outstanding. Each roll, sauce, and arrangement is created by the staff. The service has always been amazing as well. They come to check on you regularly to get refills of water even when they are crowded. The head sushi chef Andy is also an amazing artist. He did the two paintings on the right wall as you come in!!I will be going to this restaurant for the rest of my life. I go there for every birthday and special occasion. If you need recommendations for starters I highly recommend the fried calamari, tempura mushroom, or/and salmon belly. For Rolls, I recommend the Double Sake, Samurai, Firecracker Ball, and Shiki. For Vegetarians, the fried mushroom starter is amazing as well as the veggie veggie and veggie tempura rolls.
